A particle‐induced X‐ray emission (PIXE) technique has been used in the determination of the principal components Pb, Zr and Ti and the substituting elements Sr, Cr, Nb and La in lead zirconate titanate ceramics. In general, precision of analysis was concentration dependent from each element under study. For Pb, precision varied between 0.13% and 0.16%, at higher concentration of 59.32–64.5%. It was around 6–9% for Sr, Cr and Nb at concentrations of 1% or lower. Particular attention was devoted to the estimation of the analysis trueness. With this purpose, three methods were applied: (1) comparison of PIXE and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry concentrations, (2) recovery study and (3) comparison with a laboratory standard. Trueness of analysis was around 100 ± 10% for the evaluated elements Pb, Zr, Ti, Sr and Cr. The role of cycloether-water (c-w) and water-water (w-w) hydrogen bonds (H-bonds) on the stability of the tetrahydrofuran THF/(H(2)O)(n) and the tetrahydropyran THP/(H(2)O)(n) complexes with n = 1-4 was investigated herein using the density functional and ab initio methods and the atoms in molecules theory. Geometry optimizations for these complexes were carried out with various possible initial guess structures. It was revealed that the major contributions of the mono and dihydrated complexes came from c-w H-bonds. A competition between c-w and w-w H-bonds contribution was observed for trihydrated complexes. For most of tetrahydrated complexes, the inter-water H-bonds provided the greatest contribution, whereas the c-w contributions were small but not negligible. It was confirmed that to produce a hydrophobic hydration of cycloethers, the C-H···O(w) H-bond should be associated with a network of H-bonds that connects both portions of the solute, through the formation of a bifunctional H-bond. A linear correlation is obtained for the sum of electron density at the bond critical points (ρ(b)) with the interaction energy (ΔE) and with the solute-solvent interaction energy (ΔE(s-w)) of the microhydrated complexes. In addition, a new way to estimate the energetic contribution as well as the preferential formation of the different H-bonds based completely on ρ(b) was found. Even more, it allows to differentiate the contribution from c-w interactions in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic contributions, it is therefore a useful tool for studying the hydration of large biomolecules. The analysis of the modifications in the atomic and group properties brought about by successive addition of H(2)O molecules allowed to pinpoint the atoms or molecular groups that undergo the greatest changes in electron population and energetic stabilization. The synthesis of two new 2,7-disubstituted phenanthrene-based bis oximes is described. The ability of these two compound for complexing heavy metal cations have been studied and complexation constants and complex stoichiometry for Cr3+ and Fe3+ complex have been determined. The fluorescent properties of ligand 2 make this compound able to act as a sensor able to discriminate between Cr3+ and Fe3+. Detection limits for these two cations have been evaluated.  相似文献

The coherent dynamic structure factor of a single polymer chain is calculated based on the model of a Rouse polymer chain constrained (confined) by a harmonic radial potential and its behavior in different limiting cases is analyzed. The strength of confinement is characterized using an effective diameter of the harmonic radial potential as a model parameter. The method provides a reliable model to study the crossover between unconstrained (Rouse) and constrained dynamics.

Several methods have been used to treat laryngeal incompetence, but no ideal technique has been identified. This paper describes a clinical experience with minifenestration type I thyroplasty using a new device made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). The device, a thin ribbon of ePTFE, is inserted through a 4-mm fenestration to produce vocal fold medialization. At our center, 26 of these devices have been implanted in the past 3 years. Good or satisfactory results were achieved in 96% of cases. Advantages of this technique include easy insertion of the implant, nominal cost and biocompatibility of the ePTFE device, ready availability of all instruments required for the procedure, and elimination of the need to perform arytenoid adduction.  相似文献
