Stable, cost-effective, brightly luminescent, and metal-free organosilica nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared using the St?ber method without any thermal treatment above 318 K. The white-light photoluminescence results from a convolution of the emission originated in the NH(2) groups of the organosilane and oxygen defects in the silica network. The time-resolved emission spectra are red-shifted, relative to those acquired in the steady-state regime, pointing out that the NPs emission is governed by donor-acceptor (D-A) recombination mechanisms. Moreover, the increase of the corresponding lifetime values with the monitored wavelength further supports that the emission is governed by a recombination mechanism typical of a D-A pair attributed to an exceptionally broad inhomogeneous distribution of the emitting centers peculiar to silica-based NPs. These NPs exhibit the highest emission quantum yield value (0.15 ± 0.02) reported so far for organosilica biolabels without activator metals. Moreover, the emission spectra and the quantum yield values are quite stable over time showing no significant aging effects after exposure to the ambient environment for more than 1 year, stressing the potential of these NPs as metal-free biolabels. 相似文献

An updated H2/O2 kinetic model based on that of Li et al. (Int J Chem Kinet 36, 2004, 566–575) is presented and tested against a wide range of combustion targets. The primary motivations of the model revision are to incorporate recent improvements in rate constant treatment and resolve discrepancies between experimental data and predictions using recently published kinetic models in dilute, high‐pressure flames. Attempts are made to identify major remaining sources of uncertainties, in both the reaction rate parameters and the assumptions of the kinetic model, affecting predictions of relevant combustion behavior. With regard to model parameters, present uncertainties in the temperature and pressure dependence of rate constants for HO2 formation and consumption reactions are demonstrated to substantially affect predictive capabilities at high‐pressure, low‐temperature conditions. With regard to model assumptions, calculations are performed to investigate several reactions/processes that have not received much attention previously. Results from ab initio calculations and modeling studies imply that inclusion of H + HO2 = H2O + O in the kinetic model might be warranted, though further studies are necessary to ascertain its role in combustion modeling. In addition, it appears that characterization of nonlinear bath‐gas mixture rule behavior for H + O2(+ M) = HO2(+ M) in multicomponent bath gases might be necessary to predict high‐pressure flame speeds within ~15%. The updated model is tested against all of the previous validation targets considered by Li et al. as well as new targets from a number of recent studies. Special attention is devoted to establishing a context for evaluating model performance against experimental data by careful consideration of uncertainties in measurements, initial conditions, and physical model assumptions. For example, ignition delay times in shock tubes are shown to be sensitive to potential impurity effects, which have been suggested to accelerate early radical pool growth in shock tube speciation studies. In addition, speciation predictions in burner‐stabilized flames are found to be more sensitive to uncertainties in experimental boundary conditions than to uncertainties in kinetics and transport. Predictions using the present model adequately reproduce previous validation targets and show substantially improved agreement against recent high‐pressure flame speed and shock tube speciation measurements. In the present work, we investigated the immobilization and electrochemical behavior of Reactive Blue 4 dye on 3-aminopropyl-functionalized silica. The electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode and the electro-oxidation of dipyrone were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode showed a well-defined redox coupling with a formal potential of 0.45 V (vs. saturated calomel reference electrode) assigned to anthraquinone/anthrahydroquinone redox process (pH?=?2). The modified electrode also demonstrated electrocatalytic activity and an increased peak current towards the oxidation of dipyrone at a reduced overall potential. The electrocatalytic process was found to be highly dependent on the pH of the supporting electrolyte. The voltammetric responses for dipyrone were linear in the concentration range of 49.9 to 440 μmol L?1 at a pH of 2.0 with a detection limit and sensitivity of 22.0 μmol L?1 and 0.0278 μA mmol L?1, respectively. 相似文献

Gelatin (GE), amino-functionalized polyphenolic tannin derivative (TN), and graphene oxide (GO) were associated to yield thermo- and pH-responsive hydrogels for the first time. Durable hydrogel assemblies for drug delivery purposes were developed using the photosensitizer methylene blue (MB) as a drug model. The cooling GE/TN blends provide brittle physical assemblies. To overcome this disadvantage, different GO contents (between 0.31% and 1.02% wt/wt) were added to the GE/TN blend at 89.7/10.3 wt/wt. FTIR and RAMAN spectroscopy analyses characterized the materials, indicating GO presence in the hydrogels. Incorporation studies revealed a total MB (0.50 mg/mL) incorporation into the GE/TN-GO hydrogel matrices. Additionally, the proposed systems present a mechanical behavior similar to gel. The GO presence in the hydrogel matrices increased the elastic modulus from 516 to 1650 Pa. SEM revealed that hydrogels containing MB present higher porosity with interconnected pores. Dissolution and swelling degree studies revealed less stability of the GE/TN-GO-MB hydrogels in SGF medium (pH 1.2) than SIF (pH 6.8). The degradation increased in SIF with the GO content, making the polymeric matrices more hydrophilic. MB release studies revealed a process controlled by Fickian diffusion. Our results point out the pH-responsible behavior of mechanically reinforced GE/TN-GO-MB hydrogels for drug delivery systems purposes. 相似文献

A series of six (8)‐alkyl‐4‐trifluoromethyl‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐2(1H)quinazolinones, 4‐trifluoromethyl‐cyclopenta[d]‐2(1H)pyrimidinones, and their thioxo analogs from the reaction of five β‐alkoxyvinyl trifluoromethyl ketones, derived from alkylated cyclohexanones and cyclopentanone with urea and thiourea, is reported. Gas-phase reactions of four acylium ions and a thioacylium ion with three isomeric alpha-, beta- and gamma-hydroxy ketones are performed by pentaquadrupole mass spectrometric experiments. Novel structurally diagnostic reactions are observed, and found to correlate directly with interfunctional group separation. All five ions tested (CH(3)CO(+), CH(2)(double bond)CHCO(+), PhCO(+), (CH(3))(2)NCO(+) and (CH(3))(2)NCS(+)) react with the gamma-hydroxy ketone (5-hydroxy-2-pentanone) to form nearly exclusively a cyclic oxonium ion of m/z 85 that formally arises from hydroxy anion abstraction. With the beta-hydroxy ketone (4-hydroxy-2-pentanone), CH(2)(double bond)CHCO(+), PhCO(+) and (CH(3))(2)NCO(+) form adducts that undergo fast cyclization via intramolecular water displacement, yielding resonance-stabilized cyclic dioxinylium ions. With the alpha-hydroxy ketone (3-hydroxy-3-methyl-2-butanone), PhCO(+), (CH(3))(2)NCO(+) and (CH(3))(2)NCS(+) form stable adducts. Evidence that these adducts display cyclic structures is provided by the triple-stage mass spectra of the (CH(3))(2)NCS(+) adduct; it dissociates to (CH(3))(2)NCO(+) via a characteristic reaction-dissociation pathway that promotes sulfur-by-oxygen replacement. If cyclizations are assumed to occur with intramolecular anchimeric assistance, relationships between structure and reactivity are easily recognized. 相似文献

Poly(m‐phenylene isophthalamide) (PMIA) is a resistant to high temperatures and chemically stable engineering material. The application as coatings and membranes, however, is limited by its poor interaction with other materials. In this report, we describe the molecular modification of PMIA through reaction with dimsyl sodium and 2‐iodine‐1‐ethanol. The substitution of 58% of amide hydrogen by ethanol (etOH) groups produces a material (MPMIA) able to develop regularly structured films on silicon substrate. The morphology of the films is dependent on the ionic strength of the precursory solution. MPMIA starts a degradation process by losing the etOH group. MPMIA has a better affinity with poly(p‐cresolformaldehyde) than with a pristine one, increasing the range of composition in which thermal stability and miscibility are observed. Thin films of these blends have different morphologies that vary from nanometric porous to two‐phase microstructured grains, according to the composition. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献
