We present an optimized technique to generate frequency combs by four-wave mixing in highly nonlinear low-dispersion fibers. Three-pumps with unequally spaced frequencies (separation of 100 and 200 GHz) were used. The pumps were located relatively close to the zero-dispersion wavelength of the fiber. Using this three-pump technique we obtained a total of 275 FWM products experimentally, with a 100 GHz spacing and a spanning of over 220 nm. 相似文献

We present a defect-free lithography method for printing periodic features with nanoscale resolution using coherent extreme ultraviolet light. This technique is based on the self-imaging effect known as the Talbot effect, which is produced when coherent light is diffracted by a periodic mask. We present a numerical simulation and an experimental verification of the method with a compact extreme ultraviolet laser. Furthermore, we explore the extent of defect tolerance by testing masks with different defect layouts. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical calculations. 相似文献

We consider the properties of a one-dimensional fluid of Brownian inertial hard-core particles, whose microscopic dynamics is partially damped by a heat bath. Direct interactions among the particles are represented as binary, instantaneous elastic collisions. Collisions with the heat bath are accounted for by a Fokker-Planck collision operator, whereas direct collisions among the particles are treated by a well known method of kinetic theory, the revised Enskog theory. By means of a time multiple time-scale method we derive the evolution equation for the average density. Remarkably, for large values of the friction parameter and/or of the mass of the particles we obtain the same equation as the one derived within the dynamic density functional theory (DDF). In addition, at moderate values of the friction constant, the present method allows to study the inertial effects not accounted for by DDF method. We numerically investigate the behavior of driven noncohesive granular media and find that two fixed large intruder particles, immersed in a sea of small particles, experience, in addition to a short-range depletion force, a long-range repulsive force. The observed long-range interaction is fluctuation-induced and we propose a mechanism similar to the Casimir effect that generates it: The hydrodynamic fluctuations are geometrically confined between the intruders, producing an unbalanced renormalized pressure. An estimation based on computing the possible Fourier modes explains the repulsive force and is in qualitative agreement with the simulations. 相似文献

Holographic 2D/3D imaging with nanometer resolution using short wavelength extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light is presented in
this paper. Gabor’s holograms were recorded with a highly coherent table top EUV laser with different numerical apertures
demonstrating ultimately a spatial resolution of 46+/−2 nm, comparable with the illumination wavelength, in 2D holographic
imaging. Three dimensional images were obtained from a single high numerical aperture hologram recorded in a high resolution
photoresist and numerically reconstructed at different image planes, allowing numerical optical sectioning with a lateral
resolution ∼170 nm and depth resolution of 2.4 μm. The holograms were recorded in a high resolution photoresist and digitized
with an atomic force microscope. To assess the spatial resolution of the numerical reconstructions of the holograms a correlation
method was used. The algorithm allows for simultaneous estimation of the resolution and the feature size of the image under

We show that the presence of a continuous zero-selector even on a small class of non-empty closed sets of a space X implies that X is scattered if X is metrizable or non-Archimedean or a P-space.
