Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and methylcellulose (MC) are able to form hydrogen‐bonded interpolymer complexes (IPCs) in aqueous solutions. In this study, the complexation between PAA and MC is explored in dilute aqueous solutions under acidic conditions. The formation of stable nanoparticles is established, whose size and colloidal stability are greatly dependent on solution pH and polymers ratio in the mixture. Poly(acrylic acid) and methylcellulose are also used to prepare polymeric films by casting from aqueous solutions. It is established that uniform films can be prepared by casting from polymer mixture solutions at pH 3.4–4.5. At lower pHs (pH < 3.0) the films have inhomogeneous morphology resulting from strong interpolymer complexation and precipitation of polycomplexes, whereas at higher pHs (pH 8.3) the polymers form fully immiscible blends because of the lack of interpolymer hydrogen‐bonding. The PAA/MC films cast at pH 4 are shown to be non‐irritant to mucosal surfaces. These films provide a platform for ocular formulation of riboflavin, a drug used for corneal cross‐linking in the treatment of keratoconus. An in vitro release of riboflavin as well as an in vivo retention of the films on corneal surfaces can be controlled by adjusting PAA/MC ratio in the formulations. 相似文献

Neuropsychiatric diseases are one of the main causes of disability, affecting millions of people. Various drugs are used for its treatment, although no effective therapy has been found yet. The blood brain barrier (BBB) significantly complicates drugs delivery to the target cells in the brain tissues. One of the problem-solving methods is the usage of nanocontainer systems. In this review we summarized the data about nanoparticles drug delivery systems and their application for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders. Firstly, we described and characterized types of nanocarriers: inorganic nanoparticles, polymeric and lipid nanocarriers, their advantages and disadvantages. We discussed ways to interact with nerve tissue and methods of BBB penetration. We provided a summary of nanotechnology-based pharmacotherapy of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorder and Alzheimer’s disease, where development of nanocontainer drugs derives the most active. We described various experimental drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease that include vector nanocontainers targeted on β-amyloid or tau-protein. Integrally, nanoparticles can substantially improve the drug delivery as its implication can increase BBB permeability, the pharmacodynamics and bioavailability of applied drugs. Thus, nanotechnology is anticipated to overcome the limitations of existing pharmacotherapy of psychiatric disorders and to effectively combine various treatment modalities in that direction. 相似文献

Squaring the circle: the novel dienamido pincer ligand N(CHCHPtBu(2))(2)(-) affords the isolation of the unusual square-planar iridium(II) and iridium(III) amido complexes [IrCl{N(CHCHPtBu(2))(2)}](n) (n=0 (1), +1 (2)). AbstractBased upon the analysis of 1H NMR data, along with molecular modeling, it was shown that the reduction of 3,7-dihetera(N,N-; N,O-; N,S-)bicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-ones by LiAlH4 led to a mixture of two stereoisomeric secondary alcohols with different orientations of the hydroxyl groups in one of the ring systems. Diaza derivatives in deuterochloroform exist in predominant chair-boat conformations. However, the replacement of nitrogen in one of the heterocycles by oxygen or sulfur led to stereoisomers one of which existed in chair-boat conformation and another in a chair–chair conformation. In all cases the boat conformation is stabilized by formation of an intramolecular hydrogen bond (IMHB) between a lone electron pair of the nitrogen atom and a proton on the pseudo axial hydroxyl group of the other ring. 相似文献

The preparation and comprehensive characterization of a series of homoleptic sandwich complexes containing diphosphacyclobutadiene ligands are reported. Compounds [K([18]crown-6)(thf)(2)][Fe(η(4)-P(2)C(2)tBu(2))(2)] (K1), [K([18]crown-6)(thf)(2)][Co(η(4)-P(2)C(2)tBu(2))(2)] (K2), and [K([18]crown-6)(thf)(2)][Co(η(4)-P(2)C(2)Ad(2))(2)] (K3, Ad = adamantyl) were obtained from reactions of [K([18]crown-6)(thf)(2)][M(η(4)-C(14)H(10))(2)] (M = Fe, Co) with tBuC[triple bond]P (1, 2), or with AdC[triple bond]P (3). Neutral sandwiches [M(η(4)-P(2)C(2)tBu(2))(2)] (4: M = Fe 5: M = Co) were obtained by oxidizing 1 and 2 with [Cp(2)Fe]PF(6). Cyclic voltammetry and spectro-electrochemistry indicate that the two [M(η(4)-P(2)C(2)tBu(2))(2)](-)/[M(η(4)-P(2)C(2)tBu(2))(2)] moieties can be reversibly interconverted by one electron oxidation and reduction, respectively. Complexes 1-5 were characterized by multinuclear NMR, EPR (1 and 5), UV/Vis, and M?ssbauer spectroscopies (1 and 4), mass spectrometry (4 and 5), and microanalysis (1-3). The molecular structures of 1-5 were determined by using X-ray crystallography. Essentially D(2d)-symmetric structures were found for all five complexes, which show the two 1,3-diphosphacyclobutadiene rings in a staggered orientation. Density functional theory calculations revealed the importance of covalent metal-ligand π bonding in 1-5. Possible oxidation state assignments for the metal ions are discussed. 相似文献

Naphthalene and anthracene transition metalates are potent reagents, but their electronic structures have remained poorly explored. A study of four Cp*-substituted iron complexes (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) now gives rare insight into the bonding features of such species. The highly oxygen- and water-sensitive compounds [K(18-crown-6){Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(10)H(8))}] (K1), [K(18-crown-6){Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(14)H(10))}] (K2), [Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(10)H(8))] (1), and [Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(14)H(10))] (2) were synthesized and characterized by NMR, UV-vis, and (57)Fe M?ssbauer spectroscopy. The paramagnetic complexes 1 and 2 were additionally characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The molecular structures of complexes K1, K2, and 2 were determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Cyclic voltammetry of 1 and 2 and spectroelectrochemical experiments revealed the redox properties of these complexes, which are reversibly reduced to the monoanions [Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(10)H(8))](-) (1(-)) and [Cp*Fe(η(4)-C(14)H(10))](-) (2(-)) and reversibly oxidized to the cations [Cp*Fe(η(6)-C(10)H(8))](+) (1(+)) and [Cp*Fe(η(6)-C(14)H(10))](+) (2(+)). Reduced orbital charges and spin densities of the naphthalene complexes 1(-/0/+) and the anthracene derivatives 2(-/0/+) were obtained by density functional theory (DFT) methods. Analysis of these data suggests that the electronic structures of the anions 1(-) and 2(-) are best represented by low-spin Fe(II) ions coordinated by anionic Cp* and dianionic naphthalene and anthracene ligands. The electronic structures of the neutral complexes 1 and 2 may be described by a superposition of two resonance configurations which, on the one hand, involve a low-spin Fe(I) ion coordinated by the neutral naphthalene or anthracene ligand L, and, on the other hand, a low-spin Fe(II) ion coordinated to a ligand radical L(?-). Our study thus reveals the redox noninnocent character of the naphthalene and anthracene ligands, which effectively stabilize the iron atoms in a low formal, but significantly higher spectroscopic oxidation state. 相似文献
