Thermal stability of sputter deposited ZnO thin films was evaluated by thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). Desorption of Zn was mainly observed from the films deposited at low O2/Ar gas ratio and low RF power. In contrast, O2 desorption was mainly observed from the films deposited at high O2/Ar gas ratio and high RF power. The amount of desorbed O2 from the film increased with increasing the O2/Ar gas flow ratio and the RF power. Furthermore, the desorption temperature of O2 increased with increasing the RF power during the deposition. Thermal stability of the ZnO films was controlled not only by the O2/Ar gas flow ratio, but also applied RF power to the target. 相似文献

The magnetic moments of the fcc/fcc, hcp/hcp twin and fcc/hcp twin-like boundaries in cobalt were investigated by first-principles calculations based on density functional theory. The
magnetic moments in fcc/fcc were larger than those of the bulk fcc, while the variations in the magnetic moment were complicated in hcp/hcp and fcc/hcp. The magnetovolume effect on the magnetic moment at the twin(-like) boundaries was investigated in terms of the local average
atomic distance and the average deviation from equilibrium; however, the complicated variations in the magnetic moment could
not be explained from the magnetovolume effect. Next, the narrowing (or broadening) of the partial density of states (PDOS)
width of 3d orbitals, the number of occupied states for the spin-down channel, and the PDOS around the Fermi level were investigated.

A liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization–tandem mass spectrometry‐based method was developed for the identification of the conjugation positions of the monoglucuronides of 25‐hydroxyvitamin D3 [25(OH)D3] and 24,25‐dihydroxyvitamin D3 [24,25(OH)2D3] in human urine. The method employed derivatization with 4‐(4‐dimethylaminophenyl)‐1,2,4‐triazoline‐3,5‐dione to convert the glucuronides into fragmentable derivatives, which provided useful product ions for identifying the conjugation positions during the MS/MS. The derivatization also enhanced the assay sensitivity and specificity for urine sample analysis. The positional isomeric monoglucuronides, 25(OH)D3‐3‐ and ‐25‐glucuronides, or 24,25(OH)2D3‐3‐, ‐24‐ and ‐25‐glucuronides, were completely separated from each other under the optimized LC conditions. Using this method, the conjugation positions were successfully determined to be the C3 and C24 positions for the glucuronidated 25(OH)D3 and 24,25(OH)2D3, respectively. The 3‐glucuronide was not present for 24,25(OH)2D3, unlike 25(OH)D3, thus we found that selective glucuronidation occurs at the C24‐hydroxy group for 24,25(OH)2D3. 相似文献

Recent regulation in Japan requires more sensitive trace analysis methods for the determination of arsenic and selenium and their oxidation states As(III) and (V), Se(IV) and (VI). The hydride generation (HG) technique is usually used in combination with AAS and ICP-AES to increase sensitivity. However, hydrochloric acid is mostly used to acidify the sample solution in HG. Isobaric interferences due to chlorine-related species cause mass spectral problems when the same solution is used for the determination of these elements by ICP-MS. In this study, different oxidation states of As and Se were determined by coupling ion chromatography (IC) to an ICP-AES instrument. An HG technique was used to introduce test samples into the ICP. Nitric acid was employed to acidify the samples for HG. The concentrations of acid and base were kept as low as possible to reduce contamination. The formation of As and Se hydrides could be achieved without HCl, if the concentrations of acid and alkaline solutions were optimized. However, HCl was necessary for additional reduction of Se(VI) to Se(IV). 相似文献

To apply an irradiation technique to sterilize “Hybrid” biomedical materials including enzymes, we selected papain, a well-characterized plant endopeptidase as a model to examine durability of enzyme activity under the practical irradiation condition in which limited data were available for irradiation inactivation of enzymes. Dry powder and frozen aqueous solution of papain showed significant durability against 60Co-gamma irradiation suggesting that, the commercial irradiation sterilizing method is applicable without modification. Although irradiation of unfrozen aqueous papain solution showed an unusual change of the enzymatic activity with the increasing doses, and was totally inactivated at 15 kGy, we managed to keep the residual activity more than 50% of initial activity after 30-kGy irradiation, taking such optimum conditions as increasing enzyme concentration from 10 to 100 mg/ml and purging with N2 gas to suppress the formation of free radicals. 相似文献

In order to elucidate Se metabolism in a living body, (82)Se-enriched selenite was injected intravenously into mice fed Se-adequate and -deficient diets. We studied the time-dependent changes in the distribution of the labeled Se in organs, red blood cells, and plasma. The total Se was determined by flow-injection ICPMS, and Se speciation analysis was conducted by micro-affinity chromatography coupled with low-flow ICPMS. Total Se in almost all organs, including liver, showed the maximum at 1 h after injection. From speciation analysis, exogenous (82)Se as Se-containing proteins other than selenoprotein P (Sel-P) (selenium containing albumin (SeAlb) and extra cellular glutathione peroxidase (eGPx)), peaked at 1 h and quickly decreased from 1 to 6 h after injection, whereas that as Sel-P, peaked at 6 h, and gradually decreased from 6 to 72 h after injection. We found that there were two pathways for the transfer of Se in mice; one was as SeAlb until 1 h after injection, and the other was as Sel-P from 6 to 72 h after injection. 相似文献
