We tune optical resonances in rolled-up SiO/SiO(2) microtube cavities by gradually modifying the tube structure through asymmetrical postdeposition of SiO(2). Spectral blueshifts followed by redshifts of the resonant modes are observed in a thin-walled microtube (tube-I), which is attributed to a competition between shape deformation and effective increase of tube wall thickness. In contrast, only a monotonic redshift is detected when asymmetrical deposition is performed on a thick-walled microtube (tube-II). Distinct wavelength-dependent tuning was revealed in both kinds of tubes. Numerical calculations based on perturbation theory are carried out to explain and confirm the experimental results.  相似文献

This study presents the synthesis of TiO2 doped with different amounts of Co and Ni, starting from a simple metallic titanium powder. A successful electrophoretic deposition of these materials on ITO electrodes was achieved for its potential application as photoanodes. EDX, diffuse reflectance UV–Vis spectroscopy, and XRD measurements gave information on the chemical composition of the material and the location of the Ni or Co within the crystal structure of TiO2. Raman spectroscopy suggests that for a higher content of doping metal above a defined percentage, the formation of metal oxide is promoted. A preliminary study of photoelectrocatalytic orange dye degradation shows higher color removal efficiency as compared to the commercial TiO2 material.  相似文献

Crystalline TiO2 was induced three dimensionally inside Bi-free glass sample by an 800 nm, 250-kHz femtosecond laser irradiation. Micro-Raman spectra analysis indicated that the laser-induced crystals in the focal point of the laser beam were monophase TiO2 rutile. Continuous crystalline lines were written through moving the focal point of the laser beam inside the glass. The results demonstrate that this technique is a convenient method to engrave three-dimensional patterns of crystals for fabricating integrated optical devices in transparent materials.  相似文献

Abstract  

As effective devices to extend the fuel residence time in supersonic flow and prolong the duration time for hypersonic vehicles cruising in the near-space with power, the backward-facing step and the cavity are widely employed in hypersonic airbreathing propulsive systems as flameholders. The two-dimensional coupled implicit RANS equations, the standard k-ε turbulence model, and the finite-rate/eddy-dissipation reaction model have been used to generate the flow field structures in the scramjet combustors with the backward-facing step and the cavity flameholders. The flameholding mechanism in the combustor has been investigated by comparing the flow field in the corner region of the backward-facing step with that around the cavity flameholder. The obtained results show that the numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental data, and the different grid scales make only a slight difference to the numerical results. The vortices formed in the corner region of the backward-facing step, in the cavity and upstream of the fuel injector make a large difference to the enhancement of the mixing between the fuel and the free airstream, and they can prolong the residence time of the mixture and improve the combustion efficiency in the supersonic flow. The size of the recirculation zone in the scramjet combustor partially depends on the distance between the injection and the leading edge of the cavity. Further, the shock waves in the scramjet combustor with the cavity flameholder are much stronger than those that occur in the scramjet combustor with the backward-facing step, and this causes a large increase in the static pressure along the walls of the combustor.  相似文献

Cubic- and rectangular-shape single crystals of α-AlF3 in sizes of 5-50 μm have been synthesized by a solid-vapor phase process. Using the electron beam induced decomposition of AlF3, a method is demonstrated for fabricating patterned aluminum nanowires in AlF3 substrate in a scanning electron microscope. By controlling the accelerating voltage, the beam current and scanning time, it is possible to fabricate metallic nanowires of different sizes. The aluminum nanowires may act as nano-interconnects for nanoelectronics. This work demonstrates a potential technique for e-beam nanofabrication.  相似文献

Radiative recombination transitions into the ground state of cooled bare and hydrogenlike uranium ions were measured at the storage ring ESR. By comparing the corresponding x-ray centroid energies, this technique allows for a direct measurement of the electron-electron contribution to the ionization potential in the heaviest He-like ions. For the two-electron contribution to the ionization potential of He-like uranium we obtain a value of 2248+/-9 eV. This represents the most accurate determination of two-electron effects in the domain of high-Z He-like ions, and the accuracy reaches already the size of the specific two-electron radiative QED corrections.  相似文献

We study whether gravitational scattering of halo dark matter particles by subhalos can connect two seemingly independent problems: the abundance of subhalos in dark matter halos and the cuspiness of the halos' inner density profiles. Our numerical experiments indicate that subhalos can cause the collisionless dark matter particles in the centers of main halos to diffuse. Combined with tidal mass loss of the subhalos, this process introduces significant scatter in the inner density profiles and offers an explanation for the range of profiles seen in both observations and cosmological simulations.  相似文献

The caustic method as applied to fracture mechanics for measuring the stress intensity factor, contains several approximations which limit its applicability and accuracy. The accuracy of the caustic method for the determination of the stress intensity factor is based on the restriction that the K-dominant singular field is fully established at which the experimental data are taken. In this paper, we attempt to identify the regions in which experimental measurements by caustic methods can be performed with confidence. The reliability of the method of caustics applied to the static problem and the case of a stationary crack subjected to dynamic loading are investigated in detail. The results demonstrate that significant deviation can occur in the determination of the stress intensity factor from shadow spot measurements. Conclusions regarding the method of caustics in the determination of the stress intensity factor are extracted from these results.  相似文献
