Summary. Upper critical solution temperatures (UCSTs) for liquid–liquid demixing in a set of mixtures of linear alkanes (pentane (N 1=5) to pentacontane (N 1=50)) with an oligostyrene (1241amu, N 2=12) are reported. We find strong correlation between the Hildebrand solubility parameters of the alkanes and the UCST. Correlations are developed which enable predictions concerning the miscibility of mixtures of compounds with longer chains.  相似文献

The vibrational spectra (IR and Raman) of CHCl2PO3H2 and its anions in H2O and D2O solutions are reported. The IR spectra of the solid dibasic sodium and potassium salts, the solid normal and O-deuterated monobasic sodium and potassium salt and the solid normal and O-deuterated acid are discussed. The three monofluorobenzoic acids together with 2,4-difluoro and 2,6-difluorobenzoic acids in aqueous solution are the subject of precision conductance measurements. The experimental data are analyzed to give ionization constants and limiting conductances at temperatures from 0 to 100°C. Walden products for the acid anions are derived from the limiting conductances while the ionization consatants are fitted by statistical methods to the function pK a (m)=A+B/T+ C logT+DT. Only the 2,6- acid requires the fourth term of the function to fit the data to a precision of better than 0.03%. Mathematical analysis of the pK function gives the standard changes in enthalpy, entropy, and heat capacity. All the acids studied are more acidic than the parent, benzoic acid, as well as more acidic than the isoelectronic methylbenzoic acids. In general the increased acidity is tied to decreases in enthalpy while entropy changes on ionization differn little from those found for the parent acid.  相似文献

Several isomeric forms of the vinyl alcohol/water radical cation have been investigated by high-level ab initio molecular orbital theory calculations, including electron correlation effects. Of the ions considered here, the anti form of the ? O ?H ?O? bridged complex is calculated to be the lowest in energy, having a stabilization energy of 100 kJ mol?1 with respect to the dissociation products [CH2CHOH]+˙ and H2O. Although the isomeric ions may formally be represented as distonic ions, hydrogen-bridged ions and ion–dipole complexes, the only significant barrier separating the isomers appears to be the anti?syn isomerization barrier. However, in the ? O ?H ?O? bridged complex this barrier is found to be considerably lowered relative to the anti?syn isomerization barrier for the free vinyl alcohol radical cation.  相似文献

On reaction of 1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidenc-3-O-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-α-D-glueofuranose ( 1 ) with hydrazine hydrate at 140° besides formation of 3-deoxy-3-hydrazino-1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-allofuranose ( 2 ) and 3-dcoxy-1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-erythro-hex-3-enofuranose ( 3 ), ring transformation into 3-[4′-(2′,2′-dimethyl-1′,3′-dioxolanyl)]pyridazine ( 4 ) takes place. At 170°, however, only 2 and 4 are formed, indicating that 3 is the precursor of 4. Treatment of 3 with hydrazine hydrate at 170° indeed gives a nearly quantitative ring expansion into 4. Treatment of 3-dcoxy-3-hydrazino-1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidenc-α-D-glucofuranose ( 8 ) as well as the stereoisomeric allofuranose 2 with concentrated hydrochloric acid gives a nearly quantitative ring interconversion into 3-(D-erythro-trihydroxypropyl)pyrazole ( 9 ).  相似文献

The self-diffusion coefficient, D, of dibutyltin dilaurate and dibutyltin bismonobutylmaleate have been obtained at 35, 45 and 55° in samples of poly(vinyl chloride) plasticized with 34, 60 and 100 phr of di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate. D at 2 phr of the laurate is 3–5 times larger than for the smaller maleate molecule. In all cases, D increases with increasing plasticizer concentration, an effect interpreted in terms of the free volume theory of diffusion. D for the laurate increases by a factor of about 2.7 when the laurate diffusant concentration is increased from 0 to 4 phr. The activation energies for diffusion, ED, lie between 50 and 90 kJ mol?1. They increase with increasing plasticizer concentration but become constant at higher plasticizer concentrations (60–100 phr). It is impossible to correlate all the known data on diffusion in plasticized PVC with an equation of the form log D0 = C1 + C2 ED/RT  相似文献
