This work describes the preparation of graphene oxide by the Modified Hummers Method and the chemical modification of its surface with nanoparticles of copper pentacyanonitrosylferrate(III) (GOCuNP). The materials obtained were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The GOCuNP was characterized by cyclic voltammetry using a graphite paste electrode that presented electrocatalytic response for N‐acetylcysteine with detection limit of 2.97×10?5 mol L?1 at concentration range of 3.00×10?5 to 6.00×10?3 mol L?1 of N‐acetylcysteine. By this way, the bimetallic complex formed is included in the list of materials obtained as potential candidates for the construction of electrochemical sensors for N‐acetylcysteine detection.  相似文献

This work describes the application of counter-current chromatography (CCC) as a useful, fast and economic alternative for the isolation and purification of heterocyclic derivatives from lapachol and beta-lapachone, two naturally occurring compounds from Tabebuia species, and nor-beta-lapachone, a synthetic congener of lapachol. The discussed data comprise four examples of purification of synthetic reactions with different solvent systems - the mixture of the oxazole and the imidazole from beta-lapachone; the quinoxaline from nor-beta-lapachone; and the purification of the N-oxides from the quinoxaline and the phenazine from nor-beta-lapachone from their respective not fully reacted substrates by means of aqueous reversed- and normal-phase elution modes and non-aqueous solvent systems. Traditional purification of these reaction products by silica gel column chromatography demanded a large amount of solvent and time and, in some cases, serious degradation of the products occurred, leading to low yield of the reaction. High-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) was used as an alternative to optimize the process and raise the yield of the reactions.  相似文献

Hopf??s theorem on surfaces in ${\mathbb{R}^3}$ with constant mean curvature (Hopf in Math Nach 4:232?C249, 1950-51) was a turning point in the study of such surfaces. In recent years, Hopf-type theorems appeared in various ambient spaces, (Abresch and Rosenberg in Acta Math 193:141?C174, 2004 and Abresch and Rosenberg in Mat Contemp Sociedade Bras Mat 28:283-298, 2005). The simplest case is the study of surfaces with parallel mean curvature vector in ${M_k^n \times \mathbb{R}, n \ge 2}$ , where ${M_k^n}$ is a complete, simply-connected Riemannian manifold with constant sectional curvature k ?? 0. The case n?=?2 was solved in Abresch and Rosenberg 2004. Here we describe some new results for arbitrary n.  相似文献

Two- and three-dimensional numerical simulations of the flow around two circular cylinders in tandem arrangements are performed. The upstream cylinder is fixed and the downstream cylinder is free to oscillate in the transverse direction, in response to the fluid loads. The Reynolds number is kept constant at 150 for the two-dimensional simulations and at 300 for the three-dimensional simulations, and the reduced velocity is varied by changing the structural stiffness. The in-line centre-to-centre distance is varied from 1.5 to 8.0 diameters, and the results are compared to that of a single isolated flexible cylinder with the same structural characteristics, m?=2.0 and ζ=0.007. The calculations show that significant changes occur in the dynamic behaviour of the cylinders, when comparing the flow around the tandem arrangements to that around an isolated cylinder: for the tandem arrangements, the lock-in boundaries are wider, the maximum displacement amplitudes are greater and the amplitudes of vibration for high reduced velocities, outside the lock-in, are very significant. The main responsible for these changes appears to be the oscillatory flow in the gap between the cylinders.  相似文献

Groundwater remediation using iron oxide and zero-valent iron nanoparticles (NPs) can be effective, but is limited in many applications due to the NP strong retention in groundwater-saturated porous media after injection, the passivation of the porous surface, and the high cost of nanomaterials versus macro scale iron. In this study, we investigated transport of bare and polymer-coated 2-line ferrihydrite NPs (30–300 nm) in saturated aquifer sediments. The influence of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) polymer coatings was studied on the colloidal stability and transport in sediments packed column tests simulating groundwater flow in saturated sediments. In addition, the influence of calcium cations was investigated by transport measurements using sediments with calcium concentrations in the aqueous phase ranging from 0.5 (typical for most sediments) to 2 mM. Measurements were also made of zeta potential, hydrodynamic diameter, polymer adsorption and desorption properties, and bio-availability of PAA-coated NPs. We found that NP transport through the saturated aquifer sediments was improved by PAA coating and that the transport properties could be tuned by adjusting the polymer concentration. We further discovered that PAA coatings enhanced NP transport, compared to bare NPs, in all calcium-containing experiments tested, however, the presence of calcium always exhibited a negative effect on NP transport. In tests of bioavailability, the iron reduction rate of the coated and bare NPs by Geobacter sulfurreducens was the same, which shows that the PAA coating does not significantly reduce NP Fe(III) bioavailability. Our results demonstrate that much improved transport of iron oxide NP can be achieved in saturated aquifer sediments by introducing negatively charged polyelectrolytes and optimizing polymer concentrations, and furthermore, these coated NPs retain their bioavailability that is needed for applications in bio-environmental remediation.  相似文献

The research herewith aims at obtaining cellulose nanocrystals with a reduced hydrophilic surface character using a silane with isocyanate groups (isocyanatepropyltriethoxysilane), which are very reactive to hydroxyl groups and thus, are readily able to react with the low quantity of free hydroxyl groups present in the cellulose nanocrystal surfaces, therefore, promoting surface modification. Cellulose nanocrystals were obtained by hydrochloric acid hydrolysis of cotton fiber and were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and solid state 29Si nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and their morphologies were investigated by scanning and transmission electron microscopy techniques. The nanocrystals presented a needle-like geometry with a 10 nm approximate diameter and a 166 nm average length. FTIR, 29Si NMR and silicon mapping images showed that nanocrystal surface chemical modification was successfully achieved. Also, the results confirm that the chemical modification occurred mainly at the nanocrystal surface, keeping the morphological integrity of the nanocrystals. The applied methodology for surface modification of the cellulose nanocrystals provided nanofillers with more appropriate surface characteristics that allow the dispersion in polymeric matrices and the adhesion at filler-matrix interface to be obtained. This may result in a better performance of these nanocrystals as reinforcing agents of hydrophobic polymer matrices.  相似文献

This paper deals with the effect of different montmorillonite source clays, including pristine and organophilic montmorillonites, on the structure, morphology and properties of cellulose acetate (CA)/clay nanocomposites. In this study, the nanocomposites were prepared by melt extrusion in the presence of the environmentally friendly triethyl citrate plasticizer. The structure and morphology of the materials were analysed by X-ray diffraction and scattering (SAXS), X-ray microtomography and energy filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM). SAXS and EFTEM results indicated that the nanocomposite morphologies were made up of tactoids together with exfoliated clay platelets in different proportions depending on the clay type. It can be concluded that well distributed clay tactoids and platelets can be achieved in CA nanocomposites prepared by melt extrusion and consequently property improvements can be found by using pristine or organophilic clays. In this case, the addition of a plasticizer, able to intercalate in the clay gallery, seems to be sufficient to promote the clay delamination mechanism under shearing inside the cellulose acetate matrix.  相似文献

This paper reports an electrochemical study of ordered mesoporous silica impregnated with a cationic dye (o-toluidine blue), prepared with a non-ionic surfactant as the structure-directing agent. O-toluidine blue was chosen because of its utility as an electron transfer mediator (redox catalyst). O-toluidine blue impregnated mesoporous silica was characterized by nitrogen sorption porosimetry, small angle X-ray scattering, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry using chemically modified carbon paste electrodes. Results indicate that the dye is located within the ordered mesopores of micron-sized silica spheres.  相似文献
