Tri-n-octylphosphine oxide-capped CdS nanoparticles were synthesized with the cadmium(II) complex of thiocarbohydrazide as a precursor. Nanocomposites were prepared by mixing a toluene solution of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and the obtained CdS nanoparticles. The ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy measurements showed a blue shift of the onset of optical absorption, compared to bulk CdS, which confirmed the presence of nanostructured CdS. A transmission electron microscopy micrograph of the nanocomposite depicted that the nanoparticles are well dispersed in the PEO matrix. Differential scanning calorimetry analysis revealed hindered crystallization of PEO in the presence of CdS nanoparticles. It was also found that increasing the nanoparticle content led to the shift of the onset of decomposition of the matrix towards higher temperature.  相似文献

A novel approach to high‐throughput sequence deconvolution of on‐bead small peptides (MW < 2000 Da) using on‐target MALDI‐TOF/TOF instrumentation is presented. Short peptides of pentamer and octamer length, covalently attached to TentaGel polystyrene beads through a photolabile linker, were placed onto the MALDI target, apportioned with suitable matrix (2,5‐dihydroxybenzoic acid) and then hit with the instrument laser (Nd : YAG, 355 nm). This induced easy and highly reproducible photochemical cleavage, desorption (MS mode) and fragmentation (MS/MS mode). Peptide fragments were identified with a mass accuracy of 0.1 Da of the expected values. This technique significantly accelerates the sequence determination of positive peptide hits obtained from random combinatorial libraries when screening against biological targets, paving the way for a rapid and efficient method to identify molecular imaging ligands specific to pathological targets in cancer and other diseases. A synthetic procedure for the incorporation of PbS nanoparticles in a polyacrylamide (PAM) matrix is introduced. The method is based on the simultaneous polymerization of the monomer and thermal decomposition of the dithiooxamide–lead complex. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the PbS nanoparticles have a sphalerite crystal structure (galena). A transmission electron micrograph showed spherical particles, with an average diameter of about 3 nm, well dispersed in the polymer matrix. Although a sharp edge was not observed, the optical absorption of the PAM–PbS nanocomposite is shifted towards lower wavelengths compared to the bulk PbS. It was also found that, despite a low concentration of the inorganic phase, the nanoparticles significantly affect the thermal properties of the matrix. PACS 82.35.Np; 81.07.-b  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of new metal-free (9) and metal-containing (Zn, Ni or Cu 10, 11, 12) derivatives of a symmetrically octasubstituted phthalocyanine derived from 21,22-dicyano-2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12,15,17,18,25,26,28-tetradecahydro[1,4,7,12] benzodioxadithiacyclotetradeceno[6,7-b][1,4,7,10,13]benzopentaoxacyclopentadecene (7), which was synthesized in a multi-step reaction sequence, have been described. The novel compouds have been characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, 1H and 13C NMR, IR, UV–vis and MS spectral data.  相似文献

Molecular scaffolds have been shown to facilitate and stabilise secondary structural turn elements, with a central core‐arranging functionality in a defined three‐dimensional orientation. In a peptide‐based molecular imaging probe, this approach is of particular value as it would essentially “hide” a metal radioisotope within the ligand framework, making the labelling element a critical component of the receptor‐bound structure. Starting from a 1,2‐diaminoethane loaded 2‐chlorotrityl resin, a versatile set of triamine ligand systems were synthesised by using solid‐phase Fmoc‐based peptide chemistry. The resultant resin‐bound peptides then underwent amide reduction by treatment with borane‐THF at 65 °C. This provided complete conversion to the corresponding polyamine entities in high purity for the majority of the amino acids utilised. The triamines were then coordinated on solid support by using [NEt4]2[Re(CO)3(Br)3] followed by resin cleavage and HPLC purification, to give the desired rhenium coordinated species. We have shown that amino acid sequences can be assembled, reduced and coordinated on‐resin, resulting in a versatile set of metal–ligand constructs. These studies could be expanded to generate libraries of turn‐based peptidomimetics containing Re/TcI organometallic scaffolds, with the intention of developing an improved approach for finding new diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical entities.  相似文献

The thermal and mechanical properties of different cross-linked and uncross-linked polyethylene/wax blends were investigated over a period of time. This paper summarizes the results and observations. It was found that (i) both LLDPE and LDPE cross-links in the presence of low dicumyl peroxide concentrations, while wax only grafts onto the polyethylene chains, (ii) polyethylene and wax have relatively good miscibility, (iii) both wax content and cross-linking change the mechanical properties of polyethylene in one way or the other, (iv) the route of sample preparation has a marked influence on the thermal and mechanical properties of the blends, and (v) oxygen-containing groups in oxidised wax apparently do not change the way in which the wax interacts with polyethylene.  相似文献
