Synthesis of a Photolabeling Probe for the Study of Antiviral Mechanism of Ribavirin

Ribavirin has been used in urgency to treat SARS patients recently. In order to study its antiviral mechanism by photolabeling approach, we have synthesized and characterized 5-azido-1-β-D-ribofuranosyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxiamide 1 as a photolabeling probe of ribavirin. The azidotriazole nucleoside showed rapid and clean photochemical reaction, suggesting that 1 is a promising probe to study the antiviral mechanism ofribarivin by photolabeling.

Geometries,vibrational frequencies,and electron affinities of X2Cl (X=C,Si,Ge) clusters

Ab initio quantum chemical calculations have been performed on X₂Cl^? and X₂Cl (X = C, Si, Ge) clusters. The geometrical structures, vibrational frequencies, electronic properties and dissociation energies are investigated at the Hartree–Fock (HF), Møller–Plesset second‐ and fourth‐order (MP2, MP4), CCSD(T) level with the 6‐311+G(d) basis set. The X₂Cl (X = C, Si, Ge) and X₂Cl^? (X = Si, Ge) take a bent shape obtained at the ground state, while C₂Cl^? has a linear structure. The impact on internal electron transfer between the X₂Cl and the corresponding anional clusters is studied. The three different types of electron affinities (EAs) at the CCSD(T) are reported. The most reliable adiabatic electronic affinities, obtained at the CCSD(T)/cc‐pvqz level of theory, are predicted to be 3.30, 2.62, and 1.98 eV for C₂Cl, Si₂Cl, and Ge₂Cl, respectively. The calculated EAs of C₂Cl and Ge₂Cl are in good agreement with theoretical results reported. The correlation effects and basis sets effects on the geometrical structures and dissociation energies are discussed. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2007     

传声器阵列对高频弱声源的声成像识别方法

研究了传声器阵列对高频弱声源的识别定位方法。该方法根据高频声源的指向性和阵列探测特性等特点,提出了利用信噪比加权方法提高有效阵元对声成像的贡献,根据信噪比的大小对每个阵元添加不同的权值,可以显著提高传声器阵列对高频弱声源的声像清晰度。仿真分析了阵元加权和不加权两种方法对阵列声成像结果的影响,以某型号笔记本电脑电路板噪声为对象进行的实验表明,在阵列测量中充分利用有效阵元信号可以实现对声压级低达10~20dB的微弱噪声源的精确测量。

A simple and efficient algorithm for fused lasso signal approximator with convex loss function

We consider the augmented Lagrangian method (ALM) as a solver for the fused lasso signal approximator (FLSA) problem. The ALM is a dual method in which squares of the constraint functions are added as penalties to the Lagrangian. In order to apply this method to FLSA, two types of auxiliary variables are introduced to transform the original unconstrained minimization problem into a linearly constrained minimization problem. Each updating in this iterative algorithm consists of just a simple one-dimensional convex programming problem, with closed form solution in many cases. While the existing literature mostly focused on the quadratic loss function, our algorithm can be easily implemented for general convex loss. We also provide some convergence analysis of the algorithm. Finally, the method is illustrated with some simulation datasets.
