VINYL MONOMERS BEARING CHROMOPHORE MOIETIES AND THEIR POLYMERS——Ⅹ.INITIATION AND PHOTOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF p-(N,N-DIMETHYLAMINO)STYRENE AND ITS POLYMERS*

A vinyl monomer having an electron-donating moiety, p-(N,N-dimethylamino)styrenc (DMAS),was synthesized. It was combined with benzoyl peroxide (BPO) to form a redox initiation system to initiatethe polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA). UV spectra measurements show that DMAS enters thePMMA chain as well. Both DMAS and its polymer P(DMAS) display strong fluorescence, and thefluorescence can be quenched by electron-deficient compounds such as methacrylonitrile, fumaronitrile andmethyl methacrylate etc. Moreover, DMAS can also form charge transfer complex (CTC) with strongelectron acceptors such as tetracyanoethylene (TCNE). The difference between the photochemical propertiesof DMAS and P(DMAS) were explained in terms of molecular structure change and polymer conformationeffect in solution. In addition, the CTC and exciplex formation of DMAS or P(DMAS) with C_(60) were alsostudied.

研究了用毛细管区带电泳法快速测定复方布洛芬片中布洛芬和伪麻黄碱含量的方法。在０．０２５ｍｏｌ／Ｌ的磷酸盐缓冲液（ｐＨ８．１）中，上述两组分可在３ｍｉｎ内得以完全分离，用紫外检测器在２１０ｎｍ处检测，并以外标法定量。１１次测定含有９．５ｍｇ／Ｌ盐酸伪麻黄碱和６６．７ｍｇ／Ｌ布洛芬的试样溶液，相对标准偏差为２．９％（伪麻黄碱）和１．９％（布洛芬），回收率为１０３．１％（伪麻黄碱）和９７．６％（布洛芬）。应用毛细管区带电泳法测定复方布洛芬片剂的含量，所得结果与ＨＰＬＣ法一致。     

Density functional study of HO(H2O)n (n = 1–3) clusters

The hydrogen bonding complexes HO(H₂O)_n (n = 1–3) were completely investigated in the present study using DFT and MP2 methods at varied basis set levels from 6‐31++G(d,p) to 6‐311++G(2d,2p). For n = 1 two, for n = 2 two, and for n = 3 five reasonable geometries are considered. The optimized geometric parameters and interaction energies for various complexes at different levels are estimated. The infrared spectrum frequencies and IR intensities of the most stable structures are reported. Finally, thermochemistry studies are also carried out. The results indicate that the formation and the number of hydrogen bonding have played an important role in the structures and relative stabilities of different complexes. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 树枝状十二酯的合成

以乙二胺和丙烯酸十二酯为原料，甲醇为溶剂，采用迈克尔加成反应合成了低代的树枝状十二酯。探讨了反应条件对树枝状十二酯收率的影响。乙二胺2mL(30mmol)，n(乙二胺)：n(丙烯酸十二酯)=1：6，甲醇占反应液总体积的50％，反应温度40℃，反应时间48h，产率54．9％。     

直接甲醇燃料电池阴极电催化剂的研究进展

直接甲醇燃料电池(DMFC)功率密度高，燃料甲醇价格低廉、储存和携带方便，特别适合作为电动车和小型电子设备的电源，是目前燃料电池研究领域的一个热点。本文介绍了40年来DMFC阴极电催化剂的发展历史及现状，并针对目前严重影响DMFC性能的“甲醇透过”问题，阐述了研制耐甲醇阴极电催化剂的重要性，讨论了今后DMFC阴极电催化剂的发展趋势。     

Cascade cyclizations via N,4-didehydro-2-(phenylamino)pyridine biradicals/zwitterions generated from enyne-carbodiimides

Thermolysis of the enyne-carbodiimides 7 having the central carbon-carbon double bond incorporated as part of the cyclopentene ring favors the formation of the corresponding N,4-didehydro-2-(phenylamino)pyridine intermediates, either as the sigma,pi-biradicals 8 or as the zwitterions 8', for subsequent synthetic elaborations. By placing appropriate substituents at the acetylenic terminus, a variety of the intramolecular decay routes are available for the initially formed sigma,pi-biradicals/zwitterions, leading to the 5,6-dihydrobenzo[c][1,8]naphthyridine 21, the 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro[1,8]naphthyridine 24 and related compounds 25 and 26, the 5,6-dihydrobenz[f]isoquinoline 28, and the benzofuro[3,2-c]pyridine 30. Surprisingly, the use of the dimethylamino group of the 2-(dimethylamino)phenyl substituent to capture the carbocationic center in the zwitterion 8e' furnished the 5H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole 32 in only 14% yield. The majority of the products were the 1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]quinolines 34 and 35, isolated in 48 and 7% yields, respectively. However, it was possible to redirect the reaction toward 32 by conducting thermolysis of the enyne-carbodiimide 7e in the presence of 5 equiv of dimethylphenylsilyl chloride. Under this reaction condition, the 2-pyridone imine 37 was isolated in 86% yield, which on exposure to silica gel was converted to 32 in essentially quantitative yield. Thermolysis of the enyne-carbodiimide 42 having a methoxymethyl substituent at the acetylenic terminus led to the formation of 46' as a pyridine analogue of ortho-quinone methide imine. An intramolecular hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of 46' then furnished the tetrahydro[1,8]naphthyridino[2,1-c][1,4]benzoxazine 47.     

A New Glycoside and a Novel‐Type Diterpene from Hemerocallis fulva (L.) L.

The CHCl₃ extract of dried roots of Hemerocallis fulva (L.) L. afforded a novel diterpene named hemerocallal A ( 1 ), which is the second reported naturally occurring diterpene with a trans‐bicyclo[5.1.0]octane system. The BuOH extract afforded a new glycoside named hemerocalloside ( 2 ). Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical studies.     

A 3-D noninterpenetrating diamondoid network of a decanuclear copper(I) complex

The solvothermal reaction of CuCl(2).2H(2)O with pyridine-4-thiol and ethanol yielded a novel photoluminescent 3-D polymeric complex with an interesting decorated diamondoid network that is constructed of decanuclear copper(I) cluster units and mu(4)-Cl ligands. The in situ generation of CuSO(4).5H(2)O implies the spontaneous occurrence of desulfurization and redox reactions in the present system.     

The Baylis-Hillman condensation of alpha,beta-conjugate cycloketones with aldehydes using diethylaluminum iodide alone as the promoter

The Baylis-Hillman condensation of three types of alpha,beta-conjugate cycloketones with aldehydes was successfully performed by using diethylaluminum iodide as the Lewis acid promoter alone without the direct use of a Lewis base. The reaction proceeded to completion at 0 degree C in CH2Cl2 within 24 h to give modest to good yields (53-72%).     

A new capillary electrophoresis end-column amperometric detection system without the need for capillary/electrode alignment

A self-aligning end-column amperometric detection system for capillary electrophoresis was constructed. In this system, the electrode and capillary were exchanged easily and the capillary/electrode alignment procedure is not required. Gold, gold/mercury amalgam, copper and carbon fiber could be used as the working electrode. The principle is in the use of two disk holders with the capillary and the electrode in the center, so that by inserting the disk holders into a groove in the working electrode port, the capillary and the electrode are automatically aligned and the distance between the capillary and the electrode is assured at 0.24 mm. The relative standard deviation obtained using five different gold/mercury amalgam microdisk electrodes for determination of cysteine was 1.5% for the migration time and 3.3% for the electrophoretic peak current. The simple and convenient system was attractive for the routine analysis by capillary electrophoresis with electrochemical detection. The system was applied to the determination of promethazine hydrochloride in human serum.
