Radiative lifetimes of Rydberg states of BeⅠ and BeⅢ

By using the multichannel quantum defect theory(MQDT),we have evaluated the energy levels and lifetimes of 2sns ^3 S1,2snd ^3D(n=3-25)of BeI and 1 sns ^3s1,1snd ^3D(n=3-25)of BeⅢ,These energies and lifetimes that we have calculated not only agree with the recent measurements and theoretical calculation of Ref.4 and Ref.3, but also predict the lifetimes of 66 other highly excited states.     

<Emphasis Type="Italic">L</Emphasis><Subscript>1</Subscript> linear interpolator for missing values in time series

We propose a minimum mean absolute error linear interpolator (MMAELI), based on theL ₁ approach. A linear functional of the observed time series due to non-normal innovations is derived. The solution equation for the coefficients of this linear functional is established in terms of the innovation series. It is found that information implied in the innovation series is useful for the interpolation of missing values. The MMAELIs of the AR(1) model with innovations following mixed normal andt distributions are studied in detail. The MMAELI also approximates the minimum mean squared error linear interpolator (MMSELI) well in mean squared error but outperforms the MMSELI in mean absolute error. An application to a real series is presented. Extensions to the general ARMA model and other time series models are discussed. Polarization-Insensitive All-Optical Time-Division Demultiplexer Constructed with a Nonlinear Loop Interferometer

A polarization-insensitive 40-Gb/s time-division demultiplexer was demonstrated in a polarization-diversity loop configuration. The power penalty was measured to be 2.3 dB at a bit error rates of 10-9 for 10 Gb/s output signals.

On the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of functional equations in n-variables

In this paper we investigate a generalization of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability for a functional equation of the form f(φ(X))=?(X)f(X)+ψ(X) and the stability in the sense of Ger for the functional equation of the form f(φ(X))=?(X)f(X), where X lie in n-variables. As a consequence, we obtain a stability result in the sense of Hyers-Ulam-Rassias, Gǎvruta, and Ger for some well-known equations such as the gamma, beta, and G-function type's equations.

瑶药野葛花中6种无机元素的测定

用原子吸收光谱法测定野葛花原生药、野葛花汤剂中的 Ca、Mg、Cu、Zn、Fe、Mn等 6种无机元素含量。结果表明 ,原药和水煎液中 Ca、Mg含量比较丰富 ;各种元素的煎出率存在着较大的差异 ,其中 Cu、Zn、Fe的煎出率较高 ,Zn最高 ,达到了 82 .5 6 % ;Ca最低 ,为 5 .5 8%。并且将其结果与葛根的无机元素做了比较。为探讨无机元素与中药药效之间的关系提供了基础数据。     

Robust Output Tracking Control of an Uncertain Linear System via a Modified Optimal Linear-Quadratic Method

This study investigates the robust output tracking problem for a class of uncertain linear systems. The uncertainties are assumed to be time invariant and to satisfy the matching conditions. According to the selected nominal parameters, an optimal solution with a prescribed degree of stability is determined. Then, an auxiliary input via the use of an adapting factor, connected to the nominal optimal control, is introduced to guarantee the robustness and prescribed degree of stability for the output tracking control of the uncertain linear systems. This method is very simple and effective and can reject bounded uncertainties imposed on the states. A maglev vehicle model example is given to show its effectiveness.     

Enhancement of Overall Photovoltaic Efficiency by Changing the Position of the Attaching Group -RSO3- on the Hemicyanine Dye Molecules

A new photoresponsive D-π-A dye, mPS, has been designed and synthesized.Compared to the parent dye PS, IPCE values in the region from 400 nm to 560 nm was greatly improved upon changing the attaching group from the p- position to the o- position of the π-conjugation bridge. A solar cell based on mPS generated a remarkably high overall yield η of 5.4% under irradiation of 80.0 mW cm^-2 white light from a Xe lamp, Compared with PS, the overall yield η increased by 64%.
