Measurements of the antiferromagnetic resonance (AFMR) spectra of MnF2 spheres are reported, and the principal magnetostatic modes (MSMs) in these spectra are identified. To interpret the observed spectra it is necessary to take into account, in addition to the theoretical MSM solution, the effects of impurities, finite sample size (propagation effects), and radiation damping. Expressions for the predicted relative intensities of the modes are developed for particular choices of symmetry of the exciting rf field and compared to observations. The observed shifts and intensities are larger than predicted. This discrepancy is explained by analysis of the role of the magnetic susceptibility of a sample near resonance. New observations are reported which improve the understanding of radiation damping in AFMR. 相似文献
A ferromagnetic resonance technique for selective excitation of various series of magnetostatic modes of a thin film is presented. Microwave absorption spectra of a YIG film are recorded in various configurations. The observed resonance fields for both surface and volume modes are found to be in good agreement with the fields calculated from a generalized form of the Damon-Eshbach formula. 相似文献
We show that the sets of weighted badly approximable vectors in Rn are winning sets of certain games, which are modifications of (α,β)-games introduced by W.M. Schmidt in 1966. Galvanic exchange involving dissolution of iron and the simultaneous growth of platinum onto 316 L stainless steel was investigated for specimens manufactured by 3D-printing, and the behavior was compared to conventional stainless steel. Novel phenomena associated with the 3D-printed steel, but not conventional steel, reacting in three distinct phases were observed: first, with low platinum loading, a bright etching pattern linked to the laser-manufacturing process is revealed at the steel surface; second, a nanostructured pore pattern with platinum nano-deposits forms; and third, a darker platinum film coating of typically 500-nm thickness forms and then peels off the steel surface with further platinum growth underneath. Unlike the conventional steel (and mainly due to residual porosity), 3D-printed steel supports well-adhered platinum films for potential application in electrocatalysis, as demonstrated for alkaline methanol oxidation.
ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO-NP) were prepared by a facile precipitation technique using di-isopropyl amine as precipitating agent. The morpho-structure and porosity of the as-prepared nano-powder were investigated by FT-IR analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and BET analysis. By drop-casting, a composite film was deposited to obtain ZnO-NP-Nafion/GCE modified electrode. The modified electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) for the detection of Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, and Fe3+, and it was successfully applied for the detection of Pb2+ and Cu2+ in real water samples. 相似文献
Recent studies have demonstrated that amides can be used in nickel‐catalyzed reactions that lead to cleavage of the amide C?N bond, with formation of a C?C or C?heteroatom bond. However, the general scope of these methodologies has been restricted to amides where the carbonyl is directly attached to an arene or heteroarene. We now report the nickel‐catalyzed esterification of amides derived from aliphatic carboxylic acids. The transformation requires only a slight excess of the alcohol nucleophile and is tolerant of heterocycles, substrates with epimerizable stereocenters, and sterically congested coupling partners. Moreover, a series of amide competition experiments establish selectivity principles that will aid future synthetic design. These studies overcome a critical limitation of current Ni‐catalyzed amide couplings and are expected to further stimulate the use of amides as synthetic building blocks in C?N bond cleavage processes. 相似文献
