Thermochromic Organoaminomodified Silica Composite Films Containing Phosphomolybdic Acid

A novel thermochromic sol-gel film has been prepared for the first time through entrapping phosphomolybdic acid into a kind of inorganic-organic matrix co-hydrolyzed from tetraethylorthosilicate and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The thus-obtained amorphous nanocomposite film was characterized by IR spectra, UV-vis absorption spectra, XRD, TG-DTA, and ESR. Results show that phosphomolybdate polyanions interact with R-NH⁺₃ cations strongly and disperse homogeneously in the sol-gel matrix. The sol-gel film exhibits thermochromic properties. Annealed from 120 to 180°C, the transparent film changes from pale-yellow to blue. A possible charge-transfer process has been suggested to explain the thermochromism.     

Bounds on the clique-transversal number of regular graphs

A clique-transversal set D of a graph G is a set of vertices of G such that D meets all cliques of G.The clique-transversal number,denoted Tc(G),is the minimum cardinality of a clique- transversal set in G.In this paper we present the bounds on the clique-transversal number for regular graphs and characterize the extremal graphs achieving the lower bound.Also,we give the sharp bounds on the clique-transversal number for claw-free cubic graphs and we characterize the extremal graphs achieving the lower bound.     

A molecular dynamics and computational study of human KAT3 involved in KYN pathway

Kynurenine aminotransferases (KATs) catalyze the transamination of kynurenine (KYN) pathway and endogenous KYNs have been suggested to highly correlate to abnormal brain diseases. HKAT3 is a key member of KAT family, while the binding mechanism of KYN and cofactor with HKAT3 has not been determined yet. In this study, we focus on the structure-function relationship among KYN, cofactor and HKAT3. The binding models of KYN complex and KYN&cofactor complex were obtained and were studied by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. We identified several critical residues and influence of conformational changes in human kynurenine aminotransferase 3 (HKAT3) complexes. The cofactor may contribute largely not only to the catalysis, but also to the binding. In addition, a hypothesis is proposed that a strong hydrophobic interaction between Tyr159 and Lys280 may influence the binding mode and the binding region of the substrate and the cofactor. Our results will be a good starting point for further determination of the biological role.

最大度为5的图的Alcuin数

1000多年前,英国著名学者Alcuin曾提出过一个古老的渡河问题,即狼、羊和卷心菜的渡河问题.最近,Prisner和Csorba等人把这一问题推广到任意的"冲突图"G=(V,E)上,考虑了一类情况更一般的运输计划问题.现在监管者欲运输V中的所有"物品/点"渡河,这里V的两个点邻接当且仅当这两个点为冲突点.冲突点是指不能在无人监管的情况下留在一起的点.特别地,Alcuin渡河问题可转化成"冲突路"P_3上是否存在可行运输方案问题.图G的Alcuin数是指图G具有可行运输方案(即把V的点代表的"物品"全部运到河对岸)时船的最小容量.最大度为5且覆盖数至少为5的图和最大度Δ(G)≤4且覆盖数不小于Δ(G)-1的图的Alcuin数已经被确定.本文给出最大度为4且覆盖数不超过2和最大度为5且覆盖数不超过4的图的Alcuin数.至此,最大度不超过5的图的Alcuin数被完全确定.
