The research on temperature measurement based on polarization dependent loss

This paper analyzes the properties of reflected polarization dependent loss of apodized fiber Bragg gratings with temperature effective. We simulates reflected spectrum and polarization dependent loss of the apodized fiber Bragg gratings. The reflected spectrum and polarization dependent loss are measured under different temperatures. The analysis results show that reflected polarization dependent loss presents two peaks which shift an equal proportion to long wavelength with temperature increasing and have very good stability so we propose an idea that use polarization dependent loss as temperature sensor measurement parameters. The results show that the accuracy of measurement can be increased almost by one order of magnitude.     

Recyclable 1,2‐bis[3,5‐bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]diselane‐catalyzed oxidation of cyclohexene with H2O2: a practical access to trans‐1,2‐cyclohexanediol

1,2‐Bis[3,5‐bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]diselane‐catalyzed oxidation of cyclohexene by hydrogen peroxide affords a quick, clean and practical access to the important compound trans‐1,2‐cyclohexanediol under mild conditions. The highly atom‐economic properties, clean procedures, high reaction concentration, short reaction time, mild conditions and eco‐friendly, recyclable and low loading catalysts facilitate this methodology for possible future practical industrial production. Laser output of radial-slab solid-state laser

In this letter, numerical simulation and experimental study of a radial-slab solid-state laser are presented. The laser includes four crossing-slabs pumped by four Xe flashlamps. The numerical simulation of coherent intensity in the near field and the far field indicates that the laser with the structure can improve the quality of output beam compared with incoherent beam combination. The radial-slab solid-state laser is fabricated, and initial experiments are carried out at a pulse repetition of 1 Hz. Nine beams in the near field and one combined beam in the far field are obtained in our initial experiment. The experimental results are consistent with the numerical analysis in the coherent condition. The results show that coherent beam combination is obtained by this laser.     

STUDIES ON CYCLOADDITION REACTIONS OF VINYLPHOSPHONATES WITH NITRONES

Cycloaddition reactions of vinylphosphonates with nitrones were studied. A series of 4-phosphonyl-3-aryl-N-arylisoxazolidines were synthesized by the reaction of vinylphosphonates with nitrones. The structure of 3a was confirmed by X-ray single-crystal diffraction.
