The sound in the acoustic far–field of a round jet is generated by a multitude of unsteady flow structures with different length and time scales. Most likely, different components of the noise spectrum are created by different structures in the jet which emit sound in different directions. Based on Lighthill's acoustic analogy, we present a method for relating flow structures of the jet with far–field noise spectra and their associated directivity patterns. The method allows to determine what kind of noise (with respect to frequency and emission direction) is generated at a given streamwise location. Hadronic correlation functions at finite temperature in QCD, with four flavours of dynamical quarks, have been analyzed both above and below the chiral symmetry restoration temperature. We have used both point and extended sources for spatial as well as temporal correlators. The effect of periodic temporal boundary conditions for the valence quarks on the spatial meson correlators has also been investigated. All our results are consistent with the existence of individual quarks at high temperatures. A measurement of the residual interaction between the quarks is presented.  相似文献

Summary When bentazone herbicide is injected into the gas-liquid chromatograph together with trimethylanilinium hydroxide, it reacts to yield a methylated derivative with good gas-chromatographic properties. This derivatization technique allows a rapid qualitative and quantitative chromatography of this pesticide. Standard deviations were about ±1%.  相似文献

The photoelectron energy corresponding to the Fermi level of an investigated specimen and the onset energy for detection of secondary electrons are two characteristic energy values that can be used for work-function evaluation. Secondary-electron onset measurements are usually carried out by applying an acceleration voltage between the specimen and the spectrometer entrance, giving a structured secondary-electron spectrum showing three types of secondary electrons: those from the specimen, those from the entrance-slit system, and those from the X-ray tube window. For the latter electrons the electrical field built up in the sample chamber acts as an energy analyzer, imaging a discrete energy interval onto the spectrometer entrance slit. The variation of energy and intensity of these “ghost-lines” is discussed as a function of the applied acceleration voltage and the specimen tilting angle, leading to optimized experimental parameters for recording of secondary-electron spectra.  相似文献
