The LSD (Logic for Structure Determination) program gener-ates organic molecular structures from 1D and 2D NMR data without resorting to chemical shift databases. Its use in the res-olution of natural product structure determination problems has been already reported in the literature. A second-order delay differential equation (DDE) which models certain mechanical and neuromechanical regulatory systems is analyzed. We show that there are points in parameter space for which 1:2 resonant Hopf–Hopf interaction occurs at a steady state of the system. Using a singularity theoretic classification scheme [as presented by LeBlanc (1995) and LeBlanc and Langford (1996)], we then give the bifurcation diagrams for periodic solutions in two cases: variation of the delay and variation of the feedback gain near the resonance point. In both cases, period-doubling bifurcations of periodic solutions occur, and it is argued that two tori can bifurcate from these periodic solutions near the period doubling point. These results are then compared to numerical simulations of the DDE.  相似文献

A motional Stark effect diagnostic has been utilized to reconstruct the parallel current density profile in a spherical-torus plasma for the first time. The measured current profile compares favorably with neoclassical theory when no large-scale magnetohydrodynamic instabilities are present in the plasma. However, a current profile anomaly is observed during saturated interchange-type instability activity. This apparent anomaly can be explained by redistribution of neutral beam injection current drive and represents the first observation of interchange-type instabilities causing such redistribution. The associated current profile modifications contribute to sustaining the central safety factor above unity for over five resistive diffusion times, and similar processes may contribute to improved operational scenarios proposed for ITER.  相似文献

Highly fluorescent enantiomeric derivatives of d/l-serine from naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde were resolved by hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin modified capillary electrophoresis using a saccharide as an enhancing chiral selector. Four saccharides, i.e. d-(+)-glucose, d-(−)-fructose, β-lactose, and sucrose were tested. Similar enhancing effects were observed. Coupled with laser induced fluorescence detection, this separation was applied to the determination of d-serine in neural samples including rat brain tissues, Aplysia ganglia, microdialysates from rat brain, and Aplysia individual neurons. High levels of d-serine were found in certain rat brain sections including hippocampus and striatum. d-Serine was also found to occur in Aplysia ganglia, but interestingly, it was not detected in single neurons isolated from Aplysia ganglia.  相似文献

The force free equation, JB = 0, is expressed in an undimensionalized form for a reversible, Type II, superconducting cylinder carrying a transport current in a longitudinal magnetic field. Using a simple model, the form of the current distribution inside the specimen is varied, and this equation is solved to yield the total axial and azimuthal fluxes. For fixed values of the transport current and applied field it is shown that the total axial flux insensitive to the current distribution, whilst the total azimthal flux varies considerably. It is concluded, therefore, that measurements of the axial magnetization alone cannot discriminate between various force-free models.  相似文献
