A novel superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles loaded poly(acrylamide-co-maleic acid) hydrogel (superparamagnetic PAM hydrogel) has been synthesized and cross-linked by methylene bisacrylamide for the investigation of its efficiency in uptaking copper ions from aqueous solution by batch method. The swelling behavior of the hydrogel was investigated. Metal ion uptake capacity of the adsorbent was evaluated in the light of varying pH, contact time, temperature, adsorbent dose, and different copper ion concentration. The synthesized superparamagnetic PAM was characterized by FTIR and XRD analysis. The structure and coating of the magnetic nanoparticles were characterized by XRD and FTIR analysis respectively. The adsorption data was fitted well in the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models and various static parameters were calculated. It is stated that this hydrogel could be regenerated efficiently (>97%) and used repeatedly.  相似文献

The C?H functionalization is driven not only by the substituents and structure of the substrate but also by the coupling partner being used. The proposed L ‐histidine sensing system composed of a molecularly imprinted solid‐phase microextraction component combined with a molecularly imprinted polymer sensor was used to determine critical levels of test analyte in a complex matrix of highly diluted human blood serum without any non‐specific sorption and false‐positive contributions. The molecularly imprinted polymer was a zwitterionic polymer brush derived from the disodium salt of EDTA and chloranil, grafted to solid‐phase microextraction material. The hyphenated approach was able to detect L ‐histidine quantitatively with a limit of detection as low as 0.0435 ng/mL (RSD = 0.2%, S/N = 3).  相似文献

Fluorescent, DNA‐stabilized silver nanoclusters (DNA‐AgNCs) are applied in a range of applications within nanoscience and nanotechnology. However, their diverse optical properties, mechanism of formation, and aspects of their composition remain unexplored, making the rational design of nanocluster probes challenging. Herein, a synthetic procedure is described for obtaining a high yield of emissive DNA‐AgNCs with a C‐loop hairpin DNA sequence, with subsequent purification by size‐exclusion chromatography (SEC). Through a combination of optical spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP‐MS), and small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) in conjunction with the systematic study of various DNA sequences, the low‐resolution structure and mechanism of the formation of AgNCs were investigated. Data indicate that fluorescent DNA‐AgNCs self‐assemble by a head‐to‐head binding of two DNA hairpins, bridged by a silver nanocluster, resulting in the modelling of a dimeric structure harboring an Ag12 cluster.  相似文献

A new simple and sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of ascorbic acid (AA) at trace level using a new reagent, leuco malachite green (LMG). AAreacts with potassium iodide‐iodate solution under acidic conditions to liberate iodine and the liberated iodine selectively oxidizes LMG to MG dye. The colour of the dye was measured at 620 nm. Beer's law is obeyed over the concentration range of 0.8–8 iμg μAA per 25 mL of final solution (0.032–0.32 ppm). The apparent molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity of the method were found to be 2.98 × 105 l mol−1 cm−1, 0.0042 μg cm−2, and respectively. Statistical treatment of the experimental results indicates that the method is precise and accurate. The method is free from interference of common ions and many of the ingredients commonly found in pharmaceuticals. The reliability of the method was established by parallel determination against Leucocrystal violet (LCV) method. The method described was satisfactorily applied for the determination of AA in fruit juices, pharmaceuticals and biological samples.  相似文献

ZnS:Cu nanophosphors were prepared by wet chemical methods and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The typical morphologies of the nanophosphors were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The thermoluminescence (TL) properties of inorganically and organically passivated ZnS:Cu nanophosphors were investigated after γ-irradiation using a 60Co source at room temperature. The TL glow curve of capped ZnS:Cu showed variation in TL peak and intensity as the capping agent was changed. Amongst the synthesized samples the TL glow curve of SiO2 capped ZnS:Cu showed the highest TL intensity. It has been found that TL response of SiO2 capped ZnS:Cu is linear in the range 10-550 Gy. A discussion of the obtained results is also presented.  相似文献

This work reports an electrochemical sensing framework for nicotine determination based on glassy carbon electrode (GC) immobilized with Fe(bpy)32+ (where bpy is 2,2’-bipyridyl) supported by Nafion and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Nf-MWCNTs). Fe(bpy)32+ immobilized Nf-MWCNTs modified GC (GC/Nf-MWCNTs/Fe(bpy)32+) manifests stable redox peaks, characteristics of Fe(bpy)32+. The GC/Nf-MWCNTs/Fe(bpy)32+ exhibits effective electrochemical oxidation of nicotine, diminishing the overpotential relative to GC/Nf-MWCNTs. The limit of detection is 0.1 μM (experimentally observed) with two different linear calibration ranges between 0.1 to 600 μM and 600 to 3000 μM. Electrocatalytic responses observed at GC/Nf-MWCNTs/Fe(bpy)32+ indicate superior performance for nicotine determination with acceptable selectivity, stability, and reproducibility. Additionally, the nicotine present in real samples such as beedi and tobacco are also analyzed with satisfactory recovery percentages.  相似文献

Low temperature photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescence excitation (PLE) spectroscopy of high purity ErSc(2)N@C(80) and Er(2)ScN@C(80) fullerenes reveal at least two metastable configurations of the Er(3+) ion within the cage, consistent with previous observations from x-ray diffraction. Using PLE measurements at a number of different emission wavelengths we have characterized the ground state, (4)I(152), and the first excited state, (4)I(132), of the various Er(3+) configurations and their crystal-field splitting. We present detailed energy level diagrams for the ground and excited states of the two dominant configurations of ErSc(2)N@C(80) and Er(2)ScN@C(80).  相似文献

Summary A titrimetric method for the microdetermination of indole and its derivatives withN-bromoacetamide is described. It has been observed thatN-bromoacetamide brominates the compound containing indole nucleus in the presence of acetic acid. The usual reaction time is 15 minutes and the reaction is carried out at room temperature. The relative errors are less than ±1.5% at the mg level.
Zusammenfassung Die maßanalytische Bestimmung von Indol und seinen Derivaten mitN-Bromacetamid wurde beschrieben. Dieses Reagens bromiert in Gegenwart von Essigsäure indolhältige Verbindungen innerhalb 15 min bei Zimmertemperatur. Der rel. Fehler ist geringer als ±1,5%.
