A modular synthesis of functional titanocenes featuring building blocks is described. The approach allows straightforward access to large numbers of structurally diverse titanocenes that are pertinent for catalysis, structural studies, and bioinorganic chemistry. Among the functional groups introduced are amino acids, sugars, and fluorescence labels that are attached to the cyclopentadienyl ligand as esters and amides.  相似文献

In recent years, the NO x emissions of heavy duty gas turbine burners have been significantly reduced by introducing premixed combustion. These highly premixed burners are known to be prone to combustion oscillations. In this paper, investigations of a single model gas turbine burner are reported focusing on thermo-acoustic instabilities and their interaction with the periodic fluctuations of the velocity and pressure. Phase-locked optical measurement techniques such as LDA and LIF gave insight into the mechanisms.Detailed investigations of a gas turbine combustor rig revealed that the combustor as well as the air plenum oscillate in Helmholtz modes. These instabilities could be attributed to the phase lag of the pressure oscillations between the air plenum and the combustor, which causes an acceleration and deceleration of the air flow through the burner and, therefore, alternating patterns of fuel rich and lean bubbles. When these bubbles reach the reaction zone, density fluctuations are generated which in turn lead to velocity fluctuations and, hence, keep up the pressure oscillations.With increasing the equivalence ratio strong combustion oscillations could be identified at the same frequency. Similarly as with weak oscillations, Helmholtz mode pressure fluctuations are present but the resulting velocity fluctuations in the combustor can be described as a pumping motion of the flow. By the velocity fluctuations the swirl stabilization of the flame is disturbed. At the same time, the oscillating pressure inside the combustor reaches its minimum value. Shortly after the flame expands again, the pressure increases inside the combustor. This phenomenon which is triggered by the pressure oscillations inside the air plenum seems to be the basic mechanism of the flame instability and leads to a significant increase of the pressure amplitudes.  相似文献

The adsorption of gas-phase atomic hydrogen on potassium-precovered Ir(111) surfaces was investigated. Even very low coverages of potassium adatoms strongly inhibit the dissociative adsorption of molecular hydrogen. However, using gas-phase atomic hydrogen allows us to overcome the activation barrier for dissociative hydrogen adsorption. In addition, abstraction of hydrogen adatoms by impinging atomic hydrogen occurs. The probabilities and cross-sections for both reactions and the maximum number of hydrogen adsorption sites are derived and compared to data obtained on other surfaces. Furthermore, a kinetic isotope effect in the desorption of hydrogen and deuterium was observed. Implications of these results with respect to the potassium-hydrogen interaction are discussed.  相似文献

TheK π=0? bands in even uranium nuclei were studied in the compound reactions231Pa(p, 2n)230U,230, 232Th(α,2n)232, 234U and236U(d, pn)236U. In-beamγ-rays were measured in coincidence with conversion-electrons, which were detected with an iron-free orange spectrometer. The negative-parity levels are observed up to intermediate spins (I<13?). In addition, the 1? and 3? levels in230U were confirmed by a decay study with an isotope separated230Pa source. For the heavier isotopes (A≥232) the properties of theK π=0? bands (energies andγ-branchings) are consistent with a vibrational character of these bands. For230U theK π=0? band lies at rather low energy (E(1?)=367 keV), and the level spacings within this band are very similar to those of the isotones228Th and226Ra, which might indicate the onset of a stable octupole deformation.  相似文献

The major light-harvesting chlorophyll a/ b complex (LHCIIb) of the photosynthetic apparatus in green plants can be viewed as a protein scaffold binding and positioning a large number of pigment molecules that engage in rapid excitation energy transfer. This property makes LHCIIb potentially interesting as a light harvester (or a model thereof) in photoelectronic applications. Such applications would require the immobilization of LHCIIb (or similar dye-protein complexes) on a solid surface. In this work, the immobilization of recombinant LHCIIb is tested and optimized on functionalized gold surfaces via a histidine 6 tag (His tag) in the protein moiety. Immobilization efficiency and kinetics are analyzed by using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and surface plasmon field-enhanced fluorescence spectroscopy (SPFS). The latter was also used to assess the integrity of immobilized LHCIIb by recording Chl b-sensitized Chl a emission spectra. Since His tags have been included in a substantial number of recombinant proteins, the immobilization technique developed here for LHCIIb presumably can be extended to a large range of other membrane and water-soluble proteins.  相似文献

Time-consuming investigation of rhizodeposit composition by leaching, freeze-drying of leachate, and pyrolysis-field ionization mass spectrometry (Py-FIMS) of solid samples was replaced by direct Py-FIMS of a 5 microL liquid rhizodeposit sample which was evaporated overnight in the quartz tube of a mass spectrometer inlet system. Application of this new rapid technique to a set of 14 liquid rhizodeposit samples from maize (Zea mays L.), leached twice with a time lag of 80 min, unequivocally showed the effect of soil texture on the chemical composition of the rhizodeposits. Irrespective of leaching time, a partial least-squares analysis separated the Py-FI mass spectra of the maize rhizodeposits leached from a soil from those leached from a soil + quartz sand-mixture (prepared by addition of 50% w/w quartz sand to the original soil). The signals which had the strongest discrimination power and were significantly enriched in leachates from the soil + quartz sand were assigned to sugars, peptides and polyamines. Mass signals of putrescine and cadaverine, a priori not expected in the rhizodeposits, were indicators of modified root environment and rhizosphere processes in the soil + quartz sand. In conclusion, the new rapid mass spectrometric profiling method is suitable for rhizosphere research because it requires very small sample volumes, is fast and highly sensitive to detect and quantify a wide range of a priori expected and unexpected organic substances.  相似文献

We show a simple method of time delay enhancement in slow-light systems based on the effect of stimulated Brillouin scattering. The method is based on the reduction of the absolute Brillouin gain by a loss produced by an additional pump laser. With this method we achieved pulse delays of nearly 100 ns in a standard single-mode fiber. In the presented approach the delay or acceleration of optical signals is decoupled from their amplification or attenuation, which allows the adaptation of the pulse amplitudes to the given application.  相似文献

Archaea are ubiquitous and abundant microorganisms on Earth that mediate key global biogeochemical cycles. The headgroup attached to the sn-1 position of the glycerol backbone and the ether-linked isoprenoid lipids are among the diagnostic traits that distinguish Archaea from Bacteria and Eukarya. Over the last 30 years, numerous archaeal lipids have been purified and described in pure cultures. Coupled high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) ion-trap mass spectrometry (ITMS) now enables the detection and rapid identification of intact polar lipids in relatively small and complex samples, revealing a wide range of archaeal lipids in natural environments. Although major structural groups have been identified, the lack of a systematic evaluation of MS/MS fragmentation patterns has hindered the characterization of several atypical components that are therefore considered as unknowns. Here, we examined mass spectra resulting from lipid analysis of natural microbial communities using HPLC/electrospray ionization (ESI)-ITMS(n), and depicted the systematics in MS(2) fragmentation of intact archaeal lipids. This report will be particularly useful for environmental scientists interested in a rapid and straightforward characterization of intact archaeal membrane lipids.  相似文献

Littlewood raised the question of how slowly $\lVert f_{n}\rVert_{4}^{4}-\lVert f_{n}\rVert_{2}^{4}$ (where $\lVert.\rVert _{r}$ denotes the L r norm on the unit circle) can grow for a sequence of polynomials f n with unimodular coefficients and increasing degree. The results of this paper are the following. For $$g_n(z)=\sum_{k=0}^{n-1}e^{\pi ik^2/n} z^k $$ the limit of $(\lVert g_{n}\rVert_{4}^{4}-\lVert g_{n}\rVert_{2}^{4})/\lVert g_{n}\rVert_{2}^{3}$ is 2/π, which resolves a mystery due to Littlewood. This is however not the best answer to Littlewood’s question: for the polynomials $$h_n(z)=\sum_{j=0}^{n-1}\sum _{k=0}^{n-1} e^{2\pi ijk/n} z^{nj+k} $$ the limit of $(\lVert h_{n}\rVert_{4}^{4}-\lVert h_{n}\rVert_{2}^{4})/\lVert h_{n}\rVert_{2}^{3}$ is shown to be 4/π 2. No sequence of polynomials with unimodular coefficients is known that gives a better answer to Littlewood’s question. It is an open question as to whether such a sequence of polynomials exists.  相似文献

This article analyzes the stress-state of a shear web with free edges, i.e. a rectangular plate, which is loaded by shear on two simply supported opposite edges whereas the other two opposite edges can move freely and remain unloaded. Considering the plate's plane stress-state it is obvious that at the corners the maximum equivalent stress occurs. If the plate does not buckle this stress determines its strength. However, the evaluation of the stress-state at the corners raises some difficulties. As at these points the loaded and unloaded edges meet, the development of stress concentrations is indicated. Here the fundamental question arises if these stress concentrations remain finite or if singularities occur. To analyze this question we use both, analytical and numerical considerations.
