The aim of this paper is to introduce a new ant colony optimization procedure for the Arc Routing Problem with Intermediate Facilities under Capacity and Length Restrictions (CLARPIF), a variant of the Capacitated Arc Routing Problem (CARP) and of the Capacitated Arc Routing Problem with Intermediate Facilities (CARPIF). Computational results show that this algorithm is capable of providing substantial improvements over other known heuristics.  相似文献

We consider two problems mentioned in the book “Research Problems in Discrete Geometry” (Brass et al. in research problems in discrete geometry, vol xii+499. Springer, New York, pp ISBN: 978-0387-23815-8; 0-387-23815-8, 2005). First, let K and L be given convex bodies in \mathbbRd{\mathbb{R}^{d}} . We prove that if the total volume of a family of positive homothets of K is sufficiently large then they permit a translative covering of L. This problem, in the case when K = L and the dimension is two, was originally posed by L. Fejes Tóth. The previously known bound (Januszewski in proc. of the International scientific conference on mathematics, pp 29–34. Žilina, 1998) on the total volume (in the case when K = L) was of order d d vol(K), we prove a bound that is exponential in the dimension. The second problem is the following: Find a condition, in terms of the coefficients of homothety, that is necessary for a family of positive homothets of K to cover K. The problem was phrased by V. Soltan, who conjectured that the sum of the coefficients is at least d. We confirm an asymptotic version of this conjecture.  相似文献

We study the enumerative properties of a new class of (skew) shifted partitions. This class arises in the computation of certain parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials and is closely related to ballot sequences. As consequences of our results, we obtain new identities for the parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials of Hermitian symmetric pairs and for the ordinary Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials of certain Weyl groups.  相似文献

Ortho-para hydrogen conversion kinetics has been measured in the stoichiometric Ar(H 2 ) 2 compound, at pressures from 3 to 35 GPa, from the intensity of the rotational Raman transitions. The conversion rate increases with pressure by almost a factor 50 in the investigated pressure range. A comparison is made with pure hydrogen, where a similar increase is also observed. For long times and low ortho concentration, the conversion kinetic deviates from the law derived for uniform distribution of the ortho-hydrogen molecules in the crystal. The magnitude of this effect, due to the limited diffusion rate of the hydrogen molecules in the crystal, allows the measurement of the diffusion coefficient.  相似文献

We consider nonlinear systems of first order partial differential equations admitting at least two one-parameter Lie groups of transformations with commuting infinitesimal operators. Under suitable conditions it is possible to introduce a variable transformation based on canonical variables which reduces the model in point to autonomous form. Remarkably, the transformed system may admit constant solutions to which there correspond non-constant solutions of the original model. The results are specialized to the case of first order quasilinear systems admitting either dilatation or spiral groups of transformations and a systematic procedure to characterize special exact solutions is given. At the end of the paper the equations of axi-symmetric gas dynamics are considered.  相似文献

It is a result by Lacey and Thiele (Ann. of Math. (2) 146(3):693–724, 1997; ibid. 149(2):475–496, 1999) that the bilinear Hilbert transform maps $L^{p_{1}}(\mathbb{R}) \times L^{p_{2}}(\mathbb{R}) $ into $L^{p_{3}}(\mathbb{R})$ whenever (p 1,p 2,p 3) is a Hölder tuple with p 1,p 2>1 and $p_{3}>\frac{2}{3}$ . We study the behavior of the quartile operator, which is the Walsh model for the bilinear Hilbert transform, when $p_{3}=\frac{2}{3}$ . We show that the quartile operator maps $L^{p_{1}}(\mathbb{R}) \times L^{p_{2}}(\mathbb{R}) $ into $L^{\frac{2}{3},\infty}(\mathbb{R})$ when p 1,p 2>1 and one component is restricted to subindicator functions. As a corollary, we derive that the quartile operator maps $L^{p_{1}}(\mathbb{R}) \times L^{p_{2},\frac{2}{3}}(\mathbb{R}) $ into $L^{\frac{2}{3},\infty}(\mathbb{R})$ . We also provide weak type estimates and boundedness on Orlicz-Lorentz spaces near p 1=1,p 2=2 which improve, in the Walsh case, the results of Bilyk and Grafakos (J. Geom. Anal. 16 (4):563–584, 2006) and Carro et al. (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357(2):479–497, 2009). Our main tool is the multi-frequency Calderón-Zygmund decomposition from (Nazarov et al. in Math. Res. We consider a mixture of N ideal, polytropic gases. Each species is described by a distribution function fi(t, x, v, I) ≥ 0, 1 ≤ i ≤ N, defined on , and its evolution is governed by a Boltzmann-type equation. In order to recover the energy law of polytropic gases, the authors of [4] proposed a kinetic model in the framework of a weighted L1 space. Another approach has been developed in [3] in the context of polyatomic gases. Following this previous lead, our model provides a L2 framework in both variables v and I, to eventually perform a mathematical study of the diffusion asymptotics, as it was done in [2] for a model without energy exchange. Binary data represent a very special condition where both measures of distance and co-occurrence can be adopted. Euclidean distance-based non-hierarchical methods, like the k-means algorithm, or one of its versions, can be profitably used. When the number of available attributes increases the global clustering performance usually worsens. In such cases, to enhance group separability it is necessary to remove the irrelevant and redundant noisy information from the data. The present approach belongs to the category of attribute transformation strategy, and combines clustering and factorial techniques to identify attribute associations that characterize one or more homogeneous groups of statistical units. Furthermore, it provides graphical representations that facilitate the interpretation of the results.  相似文献
