Copper oxide nanoarray based on the substrate of Cu applied for the chemical sensor of hydrazine detection

This communication reports on a novel amperometric hydrazine sensor of CuO nanoarray based on a Cu substrate. Copper oxide nanoarray was directly grown on Cu substrates using a one-step facile hydrothermal method and was characterized using scanning electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. The electrochemical study has shown that the CuO nanoarray exhibits higher catalytic effect on the hydrazine than the normal CuO nanoparticles. This may be attributed to the special structure of the nanomaterials esp. the substrate of the electric Cu. And the amperometric response showed that the CuO nanoarray modified glassy carbon electrode has a low detection and a high sensitivity for hydrazine.     

Synchronization of two chaotic systems: Dynamic compensator approach

This study is concerned with the identical synchronization problem for a class of chaotic systems. A dynamic compensator is proposed to achieve the synchronization between master and slave chaotic systems using only the accessible output variables. A sufficient condition is also proposed to ensure the global synchronization. Furthermore, the strictly positive real (SPR) restriction, which is normally required in most of the observer-based synchronization schemes, is released in our approach. Two numerical examples are included to illustrate the proposed scheme.     

Dye-sensitized solid-state solar cells fabricated by screen-printed TiO_2 thin film with addition of polystyrene balls

The screen-printed nanoporous TiO2 thin film was employed to fabricate dye-sensitized solid-state solar cells using CuI as hole-transport materials. The solar cell based on nanoporous TiO2 thin film with large pores formed by the addition of polystyrene balls with diameter of 200 nm to the TiO2 paste exhibits photovoltaic performance enhancement, which is attributed to the good contact of CuI with surface of dye-sensitized thin film due to easy penetration of CuI in the film with large pores.

Parameter-Free Dual Models for Fractional Programming with Generalized Invexity

By parameter-free approach, we establish sufficient optimality conditions for nondifferentiable fractional variational programming under certain specific structure of generalized invexity. Employing the sufficient optimality conditions, two parameter-free dual models are formulated. The weak duality, strong duality and strict converse duality theorems are proved in the framework of generalized invexity.
