Theory and applications of ion-selective electrodes: Part 6

This review of ion-selective electrodes is arranged in the same way as earlier reviews of this series. The whole subject continues to grow steadily. Considerable attention has been given to clinical analysis of body electrolytes, particularly by means of automatic devices. About 800 papers published between Spring 1983 and Spring 1985 (including several omitted in Part 5) are mentioned, covering the theory of membrane phenomena, technology, fixed-state eletrodes, liquid-membranes electrodes, potentiometric biosensors and miscellaneous systems.     

The solid state reactions of o-aminobenzoic acid with Zn(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Mn(Ⅱ) acetate hydrate at room temperature

The solid-solid state reactions of o-aminobenzoic acid with Zn(OAc)2.2H2O, Cu(OAc)2 .H2O, Ni(OAc)2.4H2O and Mn(OAc)2.4H2O result in the formation of corresponding complexes M(OAB)2 (M = Zn(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Mn(IⅡ)). XRD, IR and elemental analysis methods have been used to characterize the solid products. The activation energies of these reactions, which are calculated from the kinetic data obtained by means of the isothermal electrical conductivity measurement method, have been found to increase in the order: Cu(OAc)2.H2O(37.7 kJ.mol-1)~Mn(OAc)2.4H2O (39.7kJ.mol-1) < Zn(OAc)2.2H2O (56.3 kJ.mol-1) < Ni(OAc)2.4H2O (85.2 kJ.mol-1). The trend is related to their crystal structures.     

Spontaneous formation of bags with negative surface energy

We demonstrate within the Ginzburg-Landau model of a confining medium that the surface energy associated with the interface between the normal and the confining phases can be negative, and briefly discuss some consequences of this fact.Dedicated to the memory of M. Molecular intercalates

The paper deals with the relations between host lattices and guest molecules. Several types of interaction of the guest molecules and the host material are explained and some conclusions are made about the arrangement of various guest molecules in the van der Waals' gap.     

An Efficient Method for the Synthesis of Acyl-diazenes Using NaNO_2/NaHSO_4·H_2O

N,N,N,′N′-四丁基丁二酰胺的合成及其萃取稀土离子Pr(Ⅲ)的研究

合成了四取代双酰胺萃取剂N,N,N,′N′-四丁基丁二酰胺(TBSA),并对萃取剂的结构进行了表征。研究了其萃取Pr(Ⅲ)的性能,考察了硝酸浓度、萃取剂浓度、硝酸锂浓度以及温度等对萃取分配比的影响。萃取反应在298K时,TBSA以甲苯为稀释剂时的热力学焓变为-12.83 kJ/mol。萃合物的组成结构为Pr(NO3)3.3TBSA。     

稀土离子（Ⅲ）与牛血清白蛋白作用的紫外光谱

用紫外光谱研究了稀土离子（Ⅲ）与牛血清白蛋白（BSA）的作用．14种稀土离子均使BSA～280um特征吸收峰强增加，诱导BSA构象发生改变．紫外差谱结果表明，只有氧原子参加与稀土配位．BSA与稀土配位基团为亲水外壳的氨基酸波基和肽键上的C＝O基团．
