Catalytic properties of strontium-substituted lanthanum cobaltites La1–xSrxCoO3 in the reaction of CO oxidation were compared with the data about chemical composition of the surface and bulk defect structure. It was found that (1) the initial catalytic activity correlates with the cobalt concentration on the surface; (2) surface composition differs from the bulk one; (3) the steady-state activity is proportional to the density of bulk extended defects. The dependence between catalytic and surface acid-base properties of Zn–Cr–K catalysts has been established. Modification by potassium and an increase in potassium concentration promotes Zn–Cr–K reduction and raises the yield of higher alcohols. The spinel structure of catalysts is preserved.

The kinetics of 2,2-bipyridyl catalyzed Cr(VI)–I– reaction has been studied. The order with respect to Cr(VI) is one and fractional with respect to bipyridyl. The order in [I–] changes from unity to zero. Plots of 1/kobs vs. 1/[bipy] and 1/kobs vs. 1/[I–] are straight lines with positive slopes and intercepts.

Summary In the manufacture of aero-engine components, auxiliary materials are used which impair mechanical properties if they are not completely removed afterwards. Taking the manufacture of turbine blades and vanes as an example, this investigation shows how the inclusion of an analysis stage in the fully-automatic production cycle makes it possible to monitor the thoroughness of the cleaning process. As indicator, the element Bi is used; the matrix consists of concentrated nitric acid with a high nickel content. Because of the imposition of a limiting value, it must be possible to determine differences in the Bi-content of 20 g/l. The main part of the paper concerns the selection of the most optimum process. The results using two types of AAS coupled with hydride generation are presented. The success of the complete system is illustrated by the summarized results. 相似文献

Summary We report about interaction processes between palladium (Pd) and tin dioxide (SnO2) studied with various surface spectroscopic techniques. Total sputter yields necessary for absolute depth calibration in SIMS are determined for SnO2. Clustering of palladium occurs at low temperatures. Small changes in the XPS relative core level intensities of Pd and Sn allow to determine cluster sizes. Oxidation of Pd in the presence of oxygen at T470 K is a prerequisite for diffusion of Pd2+ ions into SnO2 layers. The latter process is confirmed and described quantitatively by evaluating the SIMS and SNMS measurements. 相似文献
