Baker''''s yeast mediated reduction of substituted acenaphthenequinones: Regio-and enantioselective preparation of mono-hydroxyacenaphthenones

Baker's yeast mediated reduction of acenaphthenequinone within 4-10 h afforded mono-hydroxyacenaphthenone mainly with low enantioselectivity, the substrate and mono-hydroxyacenaphthenone product almost converted to dihydroxyacenaphthene after 48 h. By control of the reaction time and in the presence of DMF as co-solvent, the reduction of 6-substituted acenaphthenequinones under vigorous agitation afforded the corresponding 2-hydroxyacenaphthenones in 24-84% yields with 10-93% ee.     

Thermal characterization and thermal degradation of poly(norbornene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid dialkyl esters) synthesized by vinyl addition polymerization

The thermal properties and degradation behaviors of poly(norbornene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid dialkyl esters) (PNB-dialkyl esters) (alkyl = Me (PNB-Me), Et (PNB-Et), Pr (PNB-Pr), and Bu (PNB-Bu)) were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) in dynamic conditions and by infrared (IR) spectroscopy. The PNB-dialkyl esters show good thermal stability up to 350 °C, and the thermal stability decreases in the order Me > Et > Pr > Bu with the increase in size of side chain. The effect of side-chain size on the thermal degradation behaviors of PNB-dialkyl esters is evidenced by one-step thermal degradation profile for PNB-Me while two-step thermal degradation profile for PNB-Et, PNB-Pr, and PNB-Bu. Transformation is deduced to undergo β-hydrogen elimination and formation of anhydride group in the first stage of thermal degradation reaction according to TGA and IR results for PNB-Et, PNB-Pr, and PNB-Bu. The apparent activation energy and thermal degradation model of PNB-dialkyl esters are estimated by means of Ozawa-Flynn-wall method and Phadnis-Deshpande method, respectively.     

D,L-1,2,2-三甲基环戊烷-1,3-二胺硝酸镍配合物的合成、结构及其和手性D-(+)-1,2,2-三甲基环戊烷-1,3-二胺氯化镍配合物的对比分析(英)

A nickel(Ⅱ) complex [Ni(La)₂](NO₃)₂ (1) with bidentate racemic 1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentane-1,3-diamine ligand has been synthesized and characterized by IR, EA, ES-MS, and its X-ray diffraction study reveals that the nickel(Ⅱ) center is tetra-coordinated by one D- and one L- diamine ligands, and a three-dimensional hydrogen-bond-sustained network is formed in the solid state by means of the eight-membered N-H…O hydrogen bond cycle. This compound also supplies a good comparison to the chiral complex [Ni(L_b)₂]Cl₂·2H₂O (2) (L_b=D-(+)-1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentane-1,3-diamine). CCDC: 218122.     

Methanol transport in PMMA: The effect of mechanical deformation

The effect of cold work on the transport of liquid methanol in crosslinked PMMA disks has been determined at temperatures from 35–56°C. Deformed samples absorb at fast rates with kinetics that approach those of Fickian diffusion. Undeformed samples sorb at lower rates and the kinetics tend toward those of Case II transport. Shape recovery accompanied swelling in deformed samples. Samples saturated with methanol were desorbed in cyclohexanol. Resorption of desorbed samples showed fast rates for both deformed and undeformed samples and matched those of the absorption cycle in deformed samples. An analogy is made between the microstructure due to cold work and due to swelling.

2,4,6—三氧—1,3,5,2—三氮磷杂环己烷衍生物的合成及其抗肿瘤活性

利用Ｎ，Ｎ－二（２－氯乙基）氨基磷酰二异氰酸酯和胺的加成反应，合成了２，４，６三氧－１，３，５，２三氮磷杂环己烷衍生物，它们的结构经＾１ＨＮＭＲ，ＩＲ和元素分析所证实。初步生物活性测试结果表明，部分化合物具有一定的抗肿瘤活性。     

Mixed micellar medium for the spectrophotometric determination of molybdenum in molybdenum/tungsten mixtures

Effects of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and/or nonylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol (OP) on the absorption spectra of the complexes of molybdenum and tungsten with bromopyrogallol red (BPR) were studied. Based on these effects, a mixture of CTAB and OP was thus selected as a medium for the selective and sensitive determination of Mo in Mo/W binary mixtures. Under the optimum conditions, Beer's law was obeyed over the range 0.06-0.8 mug ml(-1) Mo with molar absorptivity being 1.3x10(5) l mol(-1) cm(-1) and detection limit 0.025 mug ml(-1). For 1.0 mug Mo, at least 20 mug W did not interfere in the determination of Mo with average recovery and relative standard deviation being 99.5% and <2%, respectively. The method developed maintained the features of simplicity and rapidity and, moreover, its selectivity and sensitivity enhanced greatly due to the use of CTAB/OP mixed micellar medium. When coupled with a compatible concentration method, the proposed method could be used for the determination of trace Mo in natural waters.     

一维〔M（tmp）〕_2ReO_4（M＝Ni、Cu、Pd）聚合物的能带结构

用紧束缚ＥＨＴ晶体轨道方法对一维〔Ｍ（ｔｍｐ）〕_２ＲｅＯ_４（Ｍ＝Ｎｉ、Ｃｕ、Ｐｄ）聚合物进行了能带计算，利用键向量近似方法对能带的结构及组成进行了讨论。结果表明，该类型聚合物具有不同的导电机理，并进一步研究了环平面间的成键性质及转角改变对聚合物导电性能的影响。     

Multidimensional high performance liquid chromatography--capillary electrophoresis separation of a protein digest: an update

The trypsin digest of a mixture of two proteins, namely cytochrome c and myoglobin, was first separated in the first dimension by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Fractions from the HPLC were collected every 30s with the aid of a fraction collector into a 96-well microtiter plate. After concentration, all the collected fractions were analyzed simultaneaosly in the second dimension by a 96-array capillary electrophoresis system. The labeled peptides were detected by laser-induced fluorescence. An internal standard, allura red, was added to all the fractions, prior to capillary electrophoretic analysis. The internal standard serves two functions, migration time correction and signal intensity correction. The data are presented in two different formats, as an electropherogram of all the fractions and in a two-dimensional (2-D) format. The 2-D plot of the data shows the density of each spot, which corresponds to the concentration of the migrating peptides. The total experimental time for the HPLC and capillary electrophoretic analyses ist less than 1 h, which ist much faster than using 2-D slab-gel electrophoresis or single-capillary capillary electrophoresis.
