Energetics of an adiabatically-loaded excited anharmonic oscillator

The dependence of the energy characteristics on an adiabatically slowly increasing external force is determined analytically for an anharmonic oscillator. The analytical results are confirmed by a numerical calculation. The nature of the force dependences of the energy characteristics are determined and discussed. Fiz. Tverd. Resistance peak and giant magnetoresistance of degenerate ferromagnetic semiconductors with arbitrary spin polarization

The temperature peak of the resistance and the giant magnetoresistance of degenerate ferromagnetic semiconductors with an arbitrary degree of electron spin polarization are investigated. The spin-wave and paramagnetic domains are considered. The calculations are based on the notion of the magnetic-impurity scattering of carriers. Fiz. Tverd. Galactic anisotropy as signature of “top-down” mechanisms of ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays

We show that “top-down” mechanisms of ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays which involve heavy relic particle-like objects predict a Galactic anisotropy of the highest-energy cosmic rays at the level of minimum ∼ 20%. Electronic molecule-like spectrum of quantum wells in crossed fields

We show that an electron confined to a single finite parabolic quantum well in crossed electric and magnetic fields can behave as a double quantum well system. The magnetic field is parallel to the heterostructure layers and the electric field is perpendicular to those. For a suitable choice of both fields and quantum well width, the electron can be confined to a double quantum well effective potential that is very similar to the electronic potential model for diatomic molecules. The double quantum well spectrum is calculated using a numerical algorithm based on semiclassical methods. A physical interpretation of this quantum system is given based on the analogy to the electrons bound to diatomic molecules.     

Second Quantization of the Stueckelberg Relativistic Quantum Theory and Associated Gauge Fields

The gauge compensation fields induced by the differential operators of the Stueckelberg-Schrödinger equation are discussed, as well as the relation between these fields and the standard Maxwell fields; An action is constructed and the second quantization of the fields carried out using a constraint procedure. The properties of the second quantized matter fields are discussed.     

Quality assurance for the analytical data of micro elements in food

The micro element content of food is an important quality index due to the action of these elements on human health. In this article, we discuss how to ensure the reliability of analytical data on micro elements in order to truly represent the condition of food. Sampling, treatment of the analytical sample, selection of the analytical method, standard solution, and certified reference material, blank test, calibration of the instrument and equipment, application of the quality control chart, assessment of the final analytical result, and quality assurance system are briefly described. A method of computing the gradient and the Hessian of the quality criterion in parametric optimization of continuous-discrete stochastic systems

We propose an effective method of numerical determination of the gradient vector and the Hessian matrix of a quadratic quality criterion in parametric optimization of continuous-discrete stochastic dynamic control systems based on the application of adjoint equations. Projective-type axioms for the hyperbolic plane

It is shown that the Laws of Pappus and Desargues may replace the Axiom of Projectivities in Menger's development of hyperbolic geometry from axioms of alignment.
