Study of the reaction238U (α, α′f) atE α=480 MeV

The excitation function of the fission probability P _E E _x) for²³⁸U has been measured in the reaction²³⁸U(α, α′ f) at 480 MeV bombarding energy. The reaction mechanism of this reaction is discussed for excitation energies belowB _nf , the threshold for second chance fission, and aboveB _nf up toE _x =37 MeV. In comparing with results from fission induced by photons and by particle transfer reactions the (α, α′f) reaction gives too low values for the fission probabilityP _f at excitation energies well aboveB _nE . The role of the quasi-elastic knock-out process in this reaction is discussed.     

Direct C–H arylation of 3-methoxythiophene catalyzed by Pd. Application to a more efficient synthesis of π-alkoxy-oligothiophene derivatives

The direct regioselective C–H arylation of 3-methoxythiophene and 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was performed successfully under ‘Heck-type’ experimental conditions. This novel synthetic methodology has been used to prepare in a more simple way a series of oligothiophenes interesting for the electronic industry to build new synthetic organic materials.     

Remote stereocontrol by the sulfinyl group: Mukaiyama aldol reactions of (S)-2-[2-(p-tolylsulfinyl)phenyl]acetaldehyde in the asymmetric synthesis of β-hydroxyacids and 1,3-diols

(S)-2-[2-(p-Tolylsulfinyl)phenyl]acetaldehyde reacts with different O-silylated ketenethioacetals in the presence of Yb(OTf)₃ yielding β-hydroxythioesters in high yields and diastereoselectivities. The obtained compounds were readily transformed into β-hydroxyacids and their corresponding diols. These Mukaiyama aldol reactions are a direct evidence of the ability of the sulfinyl group to control 1,5- and 1,6-asymmetric induction processes.     

下料问题的优化模型及其快速算法

结合生产实际中具体的下料问题,本文建立了该类问题的优化模型,并提出下料方式的遴选三准则,即高利用率优先准则,长度优先准则和时间优先准则.运用本文的算法对一维下料的利用率高达99.6%,机器时间4秒.对二维的利用率为98.9%,机器时间约7秒.     

Time evolution of non-Hermitian quantum systems and generalized master equations

We inquire into the time evolution of quantum systems associated with pseudo-or quasi-Hermitian Hamiltonians. We obtain, in the pseudo-Hermitian case, a generalized Liouville-von Neumann equation for closed systems. We show that quantum systems with quasi-Hermitian Hamiltonians admit the proper interpretation in terms of open quantum system and derive a generalized Lindblad-Kossakowski equation. Finally, we extend such formalism to the study of decaying systems. Partially supported by PRIN “Sintesi”.     

Electron spin resonance of diluted solid solutions of MnO2 in Y2O3

Electron spin resonance spectra of Mn²⁺ in diluted solid solutions of MnO₂ in Y₂O₃ have been studied at room temperature for Mn concentrations between 0.20 and 2.00 mol%. Isolated Mn²⁺ ions in sites with two different symmetries were observed, as well as Mn²⁺ ions coupled by the exchange interaction. The relative concentration of isolated to coupled Mn²⁺ ions decreases with increasing manganese concentration. The results are consistent with the assumption that the manganese ions occupy preferentially the C₂ symmetry sites. A theoretical calculation based on this model yields an effective range of the exchange interaction between Mn²⁺ ions of 0.53 nm, of the same order as that of Mn²⁺ ions in CaO.     

Accelerating Effect in Kerr-Newman-Kasuya Field

We have obtained expressions of the accelerating effect in Kerr-Newman Kasuya field. These expressionsinclude four parameters: mass m, angular momentum a, electric charge q, and magnetic charge φ. Furthermore we studyits special case (vi = 0). We get the following conclusion. In the gravitation field of souse mass with electric charge qand magnetic charge b, the acceleration of test particle has not only radial component but also transverse component.When θ = 0, the acceleration is minimum, and when θ = π/2, the acceleration is maximum. Furthermore, we discussthe effects of electric charge q and magnetic charge φ respectively.     

Carbon precipitation and diffusion in SiGeC alloys under silicon self-interstitial injection

In this work we investigate the diffusion and precipitation of supersaturated substitutional carbon in 200-nm-thick SiGeC layers buried under a silicon cap layer of 40 nm. The samples were annealed in either inert (N₂) or oxidizing (O₂) ambient at 850 °C for times ranging from 2 to 10 h. The silicon self-interstitial (I) flux coming from the surface under oxidation enhances the C diffusion with respect to the N₂-annealed samples. In the early stages of the oxidation process, the loss of C from the SiGeC layer by diffusion across the layer/cap interface dominates. This phenomenon saturates after an initial period (2–4 h), which depends on the C concentration. This saturation is due to the formation and growth of C-containing precipitates that are promoted by the I injection and act as a sink for mobile C atoms. The influence of carbon concentration on the competition between precipitation and diffusion is discussed. Formation of hydrogenated amorphous carbon films from polymer pyrolysis

Free-standing and supported hydrogenated amorphous carbon films (a:C–H) were prepared upon pyrolysis of the polymer formed by ethanolamine (EA) and citric acid (CA), under an ambient atmosphere at 300 °C. EA facilitates the formation of the macroscopic films, while CA is essential for obtaining the a:C–H microstructure, which comprises a mixture of sp² and sp³ carbon.
