This paper examines the possibility of classifying chiral simplices into homochiral subclasses. It is shown that chiral simplices can skip achiral intermediates to be transformed into another type of homochiral moleucles (stereochemical tunneling). A. V. A method for calculating the asymmetry parameters of molecules based on Avnir’s CSM approach combined with the “dissymmetry function” method is suggested. The performance of the approach is demonstrated on various geometrical models — high-symmetry antiprisms of S10 and D5 symmetry groups, helices, and molecular objects. It is shown that the MCSM method unambiguously determines the symmetry element or estimates the degree of asymmetry for molecules from different structural classes. A. V. Layers of [(CH3)3SiO]8(SiO1.5)8 and [(CH3)3SiO]12(SiO)6 organosilicon compounds obtained by chemical vapor deposition were investigated by X-ray diffraction (DRON-RM4, R = 192 mm, CuK radiation) and Raman spectroscopy (Triplemate, SPEX). The layers were found to be ideally oriented polycrystalline films. The octakis-(trimethylsiloxy)octasilsesquioxane polycrystals are oriented in one crystallographic direction — [001], while the dodecakis-(trimethylsiloxy)cyclohexa-siloxane polycrystals are oriented in the and directions. The block mechanism of the formation of J-aggregates from the dimers of various dyes in an aqueous solution under the action of the multiply charged Eu+3 cation was considered for the first time. It was shown that the structure and the position of the absorption maximum of the mixed J-aggregates are determined by the length of the dye chromophore moiety. It was concluded that the mixed J-aggregates are of interest as nanosized optical elements with varying optical and electronic properties depending on the structure of cyanines used.  相似文献

Oxidatively generated damage to DNA induced by a pyrenyl photosensitizer residue (Py) covalently attached to a guanine base in the DNA sequence context 5'-d(CAT[G1Py]CG2TCCTAC) in aerated solutions was monitored from the initial one-electron transfer, or hole injection step, to the formation of chemical end-products monitored by HPLC, mass spectrometry, and high-resolution gel electrophoresis. Hole injection into the DNA was initiated by two-photon excitation of the Py residue with 355 nm laser pulses, thus producing the radical cation Py*+ and hydrated electrons; the latter are trapped by O2, thus forming the superoxide anion O2*-. The decay of the Py*+ radical is correlated with the appearance of the G*+/G(-H)* radical on microsecond time scales, and O2*- combines with guanine radicals at G1 to form alkali-labile 2,5-diamino-4H-imidazolone lesions (Iz1Py). Product formation in the modified strand is smaller by a factor of 2.4 in double-stranded than in single-stranded DNA. In double-stranded DNA, hot piperidine-mediated cleavage at G2 occurs only after G1Py, an efficient hole trap, is oxidized thus generating tandem lesions. An upper limit of hole hopping rates, khh < 5 x 103 s-1 from G1*+-Py to G2 can be estimated from the known rates of the combination reaction of the G(-H)* and O2*- radicals. The formation of Iz products in the unmodified complementary strand compared to the modified strand in the duplex is approximately 10 times smaller. The formation of tandem lesions is observed even at low levels of irradiation corresponding to "single-hit" conditions when less than approximately 10% of the oligonucleotide strands are damaged. A plausible mechanism for this observation is discussed.  相似文献

The influence of the size of conjugated π-system on catalytic activity of cobalt complex with β-octaphenylporphyrin and its tetraaza-, tetrabenzo and tetrabenzotetraaza derivatives was studied in present work. It is shown that the Hamiltonian of the Einstein affine-metric (first-order) formulation of General Relativity (GR) leads to a constraint structure that allows the restoration of its unique gauge invariance, four-diffeomorphism, without the need of any field dependent redefinition of gauge parameters as in the case of the second-order formulation. In the second-order formulation of ADM gravity the need for such a redefinition is the result of the non-canonical change of variables (arXiv:0809.0097). For the first-order formulation, the necessity of such a redefinition “to correspond to diffeomorphism invariance” (reported by Ghalati, arXiv:0901.3344) is just an artifact of using the Henneaux–Teitelboim–Zanelli ansatz (Nucl. Phys. B 332:169, 1990), which is sensitive to the choice of linear combination of tertiary constraints. This ansatz cannot be used as an algorithm for finding a gauge invariance, which is a unique property of a physical system, and it should not be affected by different choices of linear combinations of non-primary first class constraints. The algorithm of Castellani (Ann. Phys. 143:357, 1982) is free from such a deficiency and it leads directly to four-diffeomorphism invariance for first, as well as for second-order Hamiltonian formulations of GR. The distinct role of primary first class constraints, the effect of considering different linear combinations of constraints, the canonical transformations of phase-space variables, and their interplay are discussed in some detail for Hamiltonians of the second- and first-order formulations of metric GR. The first-order formulation of Einstein–Cartan theory, which is the classical background of Loop Quantum Gravity, is also discussed.  相似文献
