A portable colorimeter using a red-green-blue light-emitting diode as a light source has been developed. An embedded controller sequentially turns emitters on and off, and acquires the signals detected by two photo diodes synchronized with their blinking. The controller calculates the absorbance and displays it on a liquid-crystal display. The whole system, including a 006P dry cell, is contained in a 100 x 70 x 50 mm aluminum case and its mass is 280 g. Two bisviologen derivatives, 1,11-bis(N-propyl-4,4'-bipyridinium)-3,6,9-trioxaundecane tetrakis-(hexafluorophosphate) (1) and 1,8-bis(N-propyl-4,4'-bipyridinium)-3,6-dioxaoctane tetrakis-(hexafluorophosphate) (2), each incorporating trioxaundecane and dioxaoctane groups between two viologen units, respectively, were prepared so that their photochromic behavior in the absence and the presence of alkali metal ions in a thin polymer film could be investigated. Photoirradiation of the films containing 1 and 2 caused color changes from pale yellow to blue, associated with the photoinduced reduction of the viologen units from the dication to the radical cation. The addition of alkali metal ions, especially, K+ and Na+, caused change in the spectra of the photoreduced viologen radical cation for 1 and 2, respectively, because of the increase in the fractional amplitude for the dimer component of the radical cation rather than the monomer one. This may be related to the guest-induced conformational change of 1 and 2, in which the alkali metal ion is surrounded by the oligo-oxyethylene unit of 1 and 2. The electronic and ionic conduction in three kinds of potassium ferrites with β-alumina structure was studied. Undoped ferrite, K2O·6Fe2O3, prepared by sintering at 1400°C after prefiring a mixture of potassium carbonate and ferric oxide, was a mixed conductor with about 1% ionic conduction and predominantly electronic conduction. The nickel- or zinc-doped potassium ferrite showed decreasing conductivity in the range of a single phase as the content of dopant increased. Variations of the electronic conduction in the doped potassium ferrites were assigned to changes of ferrous ion concentration accompanied by structural changes in the spinel-like blocks. Potassium ion conductivities of the three sorts of samples were estimated from the total conductivities and the transport numbers obtained by dc-polarization technique and electrolysis method. The decreases of the ionic conductivities were explained by narrowing of the alkali-oxygen slot caused by doping. 相似文献

A new basic framework for solid–fluid mixture flow simulation was developed using moving particle methods. The interactions between solid and fluid were modeled by the finite volume particle (FVP) method. The distinct element method (DEM) together with a multi-time-step algorithm was introduced into the FVP method to calculate the effects of contact between solid bodies and between solid bodies and walls. The introduced DEM model was verified by experimental analyses for the collapse of multiple solid cylinder layers. The proposed algorithm using the optimized DEM model was then applied to a water dam breaking, involving multiple solid cylinder layers. A comparison between experiments and simulations demonstrated the DEM model introduced into the FVP method is effective in representing solid–fluid mixture flows reasonably well. 相似文献

Cobalt nanocrystals were prepared by controlled chemical route at mild condition through selective-precursor reducing synthesis. Nanorod bundles and three-dimensional (3D) dendritic nanocrystal networks of Co were prepared by selecting different precursors. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) technologies. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), SEM, and TEM images indicate the nanorod bundles mainly consist of nanorods with the diameter of 70 nm. In 3D dendritic nanocrystal networks there are numerous secondary and sub-secondary branches were grown at right angles on each main stem. Room temperature magnetic measure of the Co samples demonstrates much enhanced ferromagnetic property, which might be attributed to their organization of specific shape. The possible formation mechanism of the cobalt nanocrystals with different morphologies was also discussed. 相似文献
