We study the guided propagation of whistler waves whose fields depend on the azimuthal angle in cylindrical plasma-waveguide channels (density ducts) aligned with an external magnetic field and surrounded by a uniform magnetoplasma. The main attention is paid to ducts with enhanced plasma density. It is shown that, under certain conditions, such ducts are capable of guiding proper (eigen) modes and improper leaky modes. We present the results of analysis of the dispersion properties and field structures of nonsymmetric modes guided by cylindrical ducts in the whistler frequency range.  相似文献

We consider the problem of excitation of electromagnetic field by spatially bounded, arbitrary given sources in a magnetoplasma in the presence of a cylindrical plasma channel aligned with an external magnetic field. We obtain a rigorous solution for the total field comprising both the discrete and continuous parts of the spatial spectrum of excited waves. Expressions for the radiation pattern and total radiation power of given sources are analyzed. For the whistler range, we calculate the radiation power of a ring electric current located in a channel with enhanced plasma density. It is shown that in this range, the presence of such a channel can lead to a significant increase in the radiation power of ring currents as compared with the case where the considered sources are immersed in a uniform background magnetoplasma, regardless of their orientation.  相似文献

The stationary structure of an axisymmetric high-frequency discharge maintained by a given source in an external dc magnetic field is investigated. The source is assumed to be a current wave that travels over the discharge tube surface in the direction of the external magnetic field. The source current has a single azimuthal component and its frequency belongs to the lower hybrid range. The main emphasis is placed on the special case where the electron heat conduction length across the external magnetic field exceeds considerably the tube radius. The dependences of discharge plasma parameters on the current amplitude and propagation constant along the tube have been found for this case. The results of numerical calculations of the distributions of the field and the power of the Joule loss in a discharge are presented.  相似文献

Laser annealing experiments were performed in order to increase the concentration of electrically active manganese in the layers of A3B5: Mn semiconductors. An LPX-200 KrF excimer laser with a wavelength of 248 nm and a pulse duration of ~30 ns was used. It is shown experimentally that at a pulse energy of an excimer laser of >230 mJ/cm2, the hole concentration in GaAs: Mn layers increases to 3 × 1020 cm–3. The negative magnetoresistance and the anomalous Hall effect with a hysteresis loop for annealed GaAs: Mn samples remain the same up to 80–100 K. Similar changes are observed for InAs: Mn layers as a result of laser annealing.  相似文献
