Polymorphic smectic A phases in perfluoroalkylated mesogenic dimers

New homologous symmetric dimers are presented in which two-ring monomers are connected by a flexible spacer and perfluorinated chains are introduced in terminal positions. The mesophase behaviour depends on the length and structure of the spacer and on the length of the terminal chains. The most interesting finding is the occurrence of dimorphic SmA phases in the longer chain homologues with odd-numbered spacer. The transition between the dimorphic SmA phases is accompanied by a relatively high enthalpy. Considering the results of XRD measurements and computer simulations, structural models are proposed, based on different conformations of the molecules.     

Acceleration of an ion-electron flow in a plane gap

Steady-state flows of ions and electrons in a plane gap are considered in the self-consistent 1D problem. The flows in the same direction are considered, and it is shown that the ion velocity can exceed the velocity of ion sound.     

Synthesis and Structure of the Heterocyclic Phosphorus Containing Derivatives of [60] Fullerene

Abstract

Data on the structure of cycloadducts of organophosphorus dipolar reagents and fullerenes arc absent, to our knowledge. We died the reactions and the shucturc of cycloadducts of phosphorylated azidcs and nitrile oxide with [60]fullcrcnc. The cycloaddition of diphcnylphosphinic llzide to fullcrme has bcm determined to lead to the 1 -[(N-diphenylphosphoryl)amino]-2-hydroxy[6O]hllcrme (l), the mixhuc of phosphorylated aziridinofullcrcne (2) and derivative of fullerne (3) with one aziridine fragment and one aminohydmxy-fragment, or to product (4), depending on the conditions of don .     

All solid-state battery based on ceramic oxide electrolytes with perovskite and NASICON structure

The Li_0.33Lia_0.56TiO₃ and Li_1.3Ti_1.7Al_0.3(PO₄)₃ ceramics with the structures of defect-perovskite and NASICON structures with conductivity of 1–6?×?10^?6 S/cm at the room temperature are obtained. Ceramic electrolytes were developed for a solid-state battery EMF of 4.1 V and high discharge stability in time. Discharge characteristics of solid-state batteries are studied in a laboratory cell.
