Nonuniform isothermal curing of cylindrical products made of polymeric composites

Conclusion By increasing the curing temperature and reducing the winding rate, it is possible to obtain compressive radial stresses in a cylindrical product during the entire curing stage — which should prevent loss of integrity during the curing operation. When the duration of the curing process is limited, the magnitude of the compressive stresses will depend in an extreme manner on curing temperature. Future measurements of deeply virtual Compton scattering

Prospects for future measurements of deeply virtual Compton scattering are studied in leading order using different simple models for the parameterizations of generalized parton distributions (GPDs). Measurements of the lepton charge and lepton beam helicity asymmetry will yield important input for theoretical models towards the future extraction of GPDs. The kinematics of the HERMES experiment, complemented with a recoil detector, was adopted to arrive at realistic projected statistical uncertainties. Integral Operators and Absolute Convergence Systems

We use some integral operators to establish a few special properties of absolute convergence systems for l ².     

Barium titanate single crystal electrooptic modulator

In this work, the magnitudes of the critical voltages are determined for various mutual orientations of the optical axis of the crystal, the vector of the applied electrical field intensity, and the wave vector of the optical radiation being modulated both for the linear and quadratic electrooptic effects in BaTiO₃ crystals. It is shown that the critical voltages are considerably lower for the linear electrooptic effect than for the quadratic. The minimal critical voltage which ensures a modulation depth of 100% for the linear electrooptic effect is equal to 30 V.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, Vol. 16, No. 7, pp. 35—38, July, 1973.     

Knockout of deuterons and tritons with large transverse momenta in <Emphasis Type="Italic">pA</Emphasis> collisions involving 50-GeV protons

Formation of the d and t cumulative light nuclear fragments emitted from the nucleus with large transverse momenta at an angle of 35° in the laboratory frame is investigated. The data on collisions of 50-GeV protons with the C, Al, Cu, and W nuclei are collected using the extracted proton beam of the IHEP accelerator and the SPIN detector. The results indicate that the dominant contribution to formation of nuclear fragments comes from the local process of direct knockout from the nucleus.
