4-(2-Chloroethoxy)phenyl (CEP) aglycon belongs to the class of Janus aglycons and has already been used as a pre-spacer in the synthesis of neoglycoconjugates and as a temporary protective group in the synthesis of oligosaccharides. In the present work, a set of glycosides of various monosaccharides containing CEP aglycon was synthesized. The possibility of modification of CEP aglycon was demonstrated using the corresponding lactoside as an example.

Investigations of topological insulators, which are two- and three-dimensional systems with a gap in the bulk spectrum and topologically protected gapless edge states, are of considerable fundamental interest at present. The experiments confirming the presence of the edge states in two-dimensional systems with inverted bands and problems of determining the nature of such states in these experiments are reviewed. We investigate charge transport through the junction between a niobium superconductor and the edge of a two-dimensional electron-hole bilayer, realized in an InAs/GaSb double quantum well. For the transparent interface with a superconductor, we demonstrate that the junction resistance is determined by the interlayer charge transfer near the interface. From an analysis of experimental I?V curves, we conclude that the proximity-induced superconductivity efficiently couples electron and hole layers at low currents. The critical current demonstrates periodic dependence on the in-plane magnetic field, while it is monotonic for the field that is normal to the bilayer plane. 相似文献

Wave radiation is studied which is due a constant load moving with a constant speed along a circular path over an unbounded membrane on a elastic foundation. The steady-state solution of the problem is obtained, showing that the radiation occurs for all load velocities. It is shown that the elastic field radiated by the supercritically moving load is confined in a spiral-like apex. The membrane displacements at the boundaries of this apex are discontinuous. The radiated energy per period of load rotation is calculated showing a discrete energy spectrum. For increasing load velocities, the total amount of radiated energy becomes larger. In the present work, a model of double pulse laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) spectrometer has been developed and results from two different applications of double pulse LIBS for solving the problems of environmental interest are presented. In one case, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy has been applied to the determination of heavy and toxic metals (lead) in soil samples. In the second case, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy was used in preliminary experiments for the detection of sulfur content in coal, and on the basis of spectral features, ways to improve the sensitivity of laser induced breakdown spectroscopy detection of sulfur are proposed. The detection limit for lead in soil was estimated to be approximately 20 ppm that is lower than the regulatory standards for the presence of lead in soil. 相似文献
