Classification methods for aromatic planar vibrations are presented. These methods involve the potential energy distribution analysis and a ring motion analysis, which makes it possible to classify collective motions of CC bonds in these systems into certain typical patterns. The planar vibrations of benzene and polyacenes up to pentacene are classified in this way, and the characteristic vibrations of these molecules are so described and analyzed. Normal coordinate calculations of naphthacene and pentacene have been carried out to illustrate the classification, and results were found to be very satisfactory.  相似文献

Low energy behavior of Schrödinger operators with potentials which decay slowly at infinity is studied. It is shown that if the potential is positive then the zero energy is very regular and the resolvent is smooth near 0. This implies rapid local decay for the solutions of the Schrödinger equation. On the other hand, if the potential is negative then the resolvent has discontinuity at zero energy. Thus one cannot expect local decay faster than ordert –1 ast.  相似文献

Previously measured drift velocities and longitudinal diffusion coefficients in SiH4-Ar mixtures were reanalyzed, and the new vibrational excitation cross sections for monosilane molecules were obtained. Not only were the new cross sections consistent with swarm parameters, but also the ratio of their magnitudes at the resonance peak agreed with earlier measurements of the electron beam experiment. Having known the vibrational excitation cross sections, the analysis of the primary ionization coefficient measured in SiH4-Kr mixtures led to a consistent inelastic cross section, which possibly corresponds to the total section for neutral dissociations for the molecule. It was confirmed that the derived set of the cross sections also gave good agreement with the electron swarm parameters measured in pure monosilane gas  相似文献

Experimental results of lower hybrid heating in a small tokamak are described. When rf power is applied, a high energy tail of ions is produced, whether or not there is a lower hybrid resonance layer (LHR layer) in the plasma column, though bulk ion heating is not observed. The electron temperature in the plasma surface increases, while the electrons in the center lose their energy, which is related to an impurity ion flux diffusing from the outside of the plasma.  相似文献

Resonant Raman scattering in AgCl is reported for the first time. With excitation in the indirect absorption edge at 1.8K the observed scattering processes involve pairs of momentum-conserving TA(L) and LA(L) phonons with energies of 8.2 meV and 12.9 meV, respectively. The dependence of the scattered intensity on excitation energy suggests that, in contrast to AgBr, intravalley scattering by long wavelength acoustic phonons and intervalley scattering are negligibly small, the main relaxation mechanism of the free exciton being self-trapping. Some enhancement in the 2LO scattering intensity observed is probably due to resonance with the lowest direct exciton.  相似文献

Lifetime of the first excited state of donor-acceptor pairs has been measured in ZnTe as a function of the donor-acceptor distance. The measured lifetime for the radiative recombinations of donor-acceptor pairs agrees well with the calculated one in which the central cell correction for the 1s state of the acceptors is taken into account. It has been found that the lifetime depends on the impurity concentration. The concentration dependence is discussed in connection with the non-exponential decay of the luminescence observed for more distant donor-acceptor pairs.  相似文献

Photon-echo behavior in the ultrashort time region is studied for pentacene molecules in p-terphenyl crystals at 1.7 K by means of the accumulated three-pulse echo. We show highly resolved echo spectra with a parameter of time separation and also time behavior of echo intensity as a function of pulse separation measured at various frequencies near the peak position of the absorption line of the S0–S1 transition. We demonstrate various features of echo profile in both time and frequency domains, which are dependent on the time region of observation.  相似文献
