Anhydro base of 4-(3-indolyl)pyrimidine

The reaction of 4-(3-indolyl)pyrimidine methiodide with alkali gives a stable anhydro base, which reacts under mild conditions with methyl iodide to give 1-methyl-4-(1-methyl-3-indolyl)pyrimidinium iodide. On the basis of the calculated molecular diagrams of both compounds it was concluded that they have high reactivities. The reaction of the anhydro base with an aqueous methanol solution of KOH, concentrated NH₄OH, hydrazine hydrate, and a mixture of malonic acid dinitrile with triethylamine leads to 3-acetylindole, 4-(3-indolyl)pyrimidine, 3(5)-(3-indolyl)pyrazole, and 2-amino-3-cyano-6-(3-indolyl)pyridine, respectively. 1-Methyl-4-(1-methyl-3-indolyl)pyrimidinium iodide under the same conditions gives similar compounds that contain a methyl group attached to the indole nitrogen atom. Electrodynamic analysis of helical radiators located on an elliptical surface

On the basis of integral representations of the electromagnetic field, mathematical models of the spiral radiators located on the surface of an ellipsoid are constructed. The internal electrodynamic problem is reduced to the set of linear algebraic equations written with respect to unknown values of current on radiating elements. In the band of normalized frequencies, the input resistance of antennas and the distribution of currents over the branches of spirals are calculated. Analysis of the frequency dependences of the input resistance makes it possible to reveal the phenomena of the parallel and serial macroresonance caused by the shape of the surface containing branches of spirals.     

NMR analysis of oils from pine nuts (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Pinus sibirica</Emphasis>) and seeds of common pine (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Pinus silvestris L.</Emphasis>)

We studied the fatty-acid composition of oils from pine nuts and seeds of common pine using PMR and ¹³C NMR and gas chromatography. We found that the main components of the glycerides are palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, γ-linolenic, pinolenic, and cis-9-eicosenoic acids. Mass spectrometric fragmentation or decay of 2-azolylaminopyridines containing a carbonyl group in the ortho-position results in elimination of a neutral molecule (ammonia, ethanol, hydrogen sulfide).
