In this study, we report the interconvertible tetracolored solid state photoluminescence of gold(i) isocyanide complex 2 upon various external stimuli through solid state structural changes. Soaking complex 2 in acetone yields blue emission as a result of the formation of 2B. The subsequent removal of acetone yields 2G through a crystal-to-crystal phase transition, which exhibits green emission. This green-emitting solid 2G exhibits stepwise emission color changes to yellow and then to orange upon mechanical stimulation by ball-milling, which corresponds to the formation of 2Y and 2O, respectively. 2B could be recovered upon the addition of acetone to 2G, 2Y, and 2O. Thus, these four emitting solid states of 2 can be switched between repeatedly by means of acetone soaking and the application of mechanical stimulation. Importantly, single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) studies fully show the detailed molecular arrangements of 2B, 2G, and 2Y. This is the first mechanochromic compound to show interconvertible four color emission in the solid state. We also present the first example of using PXRD measurements and the Rietveld refinement technique for the structural analysis of a ground powder in a luminescence mechanochromism study. We obtained complete molecular-level structural information of the crystalline states of 2B, 2G, 2Y, and 2O. In comparison with a more solvophobic analogue 1, we suggest that the weak interaction of 2 with acetone in the solid state would allow a solvent inclusion/release mode, which is an important structural factor for the unprecedented multicolor mechanochromic luminescence. 相似文献
Motif‐programmed artificial proteins with mineralization‐related activity were covalently immobilized onto the surface of a hydrogel, poly(2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA). We investigated the influence of assaying conditions upon the ability of three selected proteins (PS64, PS382 and PS458) to modulate calcification in vitro. A long‐term assay measuring the real amount of calcium phosphate phase in the protein‐modified PHEMA showed that all proteins enhanced the uptake of calcium by the hydrogel. For PS382 and PS458, this is a behaviour opposite to that displayed when the same proteins were tested in a free state by a rapid solution assay. Such difference may be attributed to a restricted mobility of the proteins due to immobilization.
An efficient algorithm is proposed for finding all solutions of systems of n nonlinear equations. This algorithm is based on interval analysis and a new strategy called LP narrowing. In the LP narrowing strategy, boxes (n-dimensional rectangles in the solution domain) containing no solution are excluded, and boxes containing solutions are narrowed so that no solution is lost by using linear programming techniques. Since the LP narrowing is very powerful, all solutions can be found very efficiently. By numerical examples, it is shown that the proposed algorithm could find all solutions of systems of 5000-50,000 nonlinear equations in practical computation time. 相似文献

Peptide aptamers (=binders) against inorganic materials often show a capacity for mineralization of their target atoms; thus they are able to function both as binding molecules and as mediators for mineralization. Although the mechanisms underlying these two properties of peptide aptamers are not yet fully understood, they have been used separately to fabricate various nanostructures. Forty-eight species of seaweeds from Japanese waters were screened for the valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids eicosapentaenoic
acid (EPA). The eight species that contained the highest levels of these compounds were analyzed in detail. Of all species
tested the red alga Pachymeniopsis lanceolata contained the highest EPA concentration, and it was present as both the free and bound forms. EPA constituted 38.7% of total
fatty acids, and polar lipids were the main constituent of the total lipids in P. lanceolata. EPA was obtained from the marine algae P. lanceolata by enzymatic hydrolysis of the total lipids extract using phospholipase A2(PLA2). The release of EPA reached a plateau after 10 min of enzymatic treatment. These results suggest that P. lanceolata is a useful natural source of EPA and that PLA2 treatment is a convenient method for obtaining EPA from the red alga. 相似文献
The tortuous capillary pore diffusion model (TCPDM) has been used for estimating diffusive and pure water permeability from simple structure parameters such as pore diameter, surface porosity, wall thickness and tortuosity. The validity of this model for evaluation of homogeneous membrane has been already confirmed. Recently, there is a trend toward the use of asymmetrical dialysis membranes made of synthetic polymer such as poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN), polysulfone (PS) and a polyethersulfone polyarylate (PEPA) blend polymer. The purpose of the present study is to apply the TCPDM to evaluation of commercially available hollow-fiber dialysis membranes with asymmetrical structures by simplifying them to a double-layer membrane. The TCPDM is capable of estimating pore tortuosity of asymmetrical dialysis membranes having skin and supporting layers from data on membrane thickness, pore diameter, pure water permeability and water content. Values for diffusive permeability obtained by the TCPDM are in a good agreement with experimental data. This TCPDM model is useful for evaluation of not only homogeneous membrane but also asymmetrical membrane. 相似文献

A remarkable enhancement of the extraction of lanthanoids(Ⅲ)(Ln) with β-diketones in the presence of a Lewis base, so-called synergistic effects, would be caused by the adduct formation of the β-diketonates with the Lewis base. The trend of the variation of the adduct formation constants across the lanthanoid series may be different among β-diketones used. It has also been observed that the trend across lanthanoid series and also the values of the enthalpy change in the adduct formation of the 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetonates(TTA) with 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) are very similar to those with 2,25-bipyridyl(bpy), although the values of the adduct formation constants with the former are larger than those with the latter. 相似文献
