To synthesize the novel molecular‐ and pH‐stimulus‐responsive hydrogel, we prepared poly(ethylene glycol)‐based hydrogel containing ionic groups. We evaluated the fundamental swelling/shrinking properties of the hydrogels synthesized by various conditions. Decreasing the molecular weight of a crosslinker provided the increasing of the equilibrium swelling ratio. Also, the equilibrium swelling ratio was changed by the introduction of functional ionic monomers and its compositions. Furthermore, the swelling/shrinking behaviors of the hydrogels were affected by the environmental condition of aqueous solution, in fact the hydrogels were considerably shrunk (to one‐fifth volume) using a di‐ionic solute in the aqueous solution through the ionic interactions between the hydrogel and the solutes. Additionally, the specific shrinking to diamine compounds was also observed in response to pH change. These results clearly show the swelling/shrinking responsibility of the hydrogels toward the molecular recognitions and its pH conditions. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. For a spatial characteristic, there exist commonly fat-tail frequency distributions of fragment-size and -mass of glass, areas enclosed by city roads, and pore size/volume in random packings. In order to give a new analytical approach for the distributions, we consider a simple model which constructs a fractal-like hierarchical network based on random divisions of rectangles. The stochastic process makes a Markov chain and corresponds to directional random walks with splitting into four particles. We derive a combinatorial analytical form and its continuous approximation for the distribution of rectangle areas, and numerically show a good fitting with the actual distribution in the averaging behavior of the divisions.  相似文献

Oxygen-sensitive and near-infrared (NIR) luminescent YbIII coordination polymers incorporating ligands based on pyrene derivatives were synthesized: YbIII–TBAPy and YbIII–TIAPy (TBAPy: 1,3,6,8-tetrakis(p-benzoate)pyrene; TIAPy: 1,3,6,8-tetrakis(3,5-isophthalic acid)pyrene). The coordination structures of these materials have been characterized by means of electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. Moreover, the porous structure of YbIII–TIAPy has been evaluated by measuring its N2 adsorption isotherm. The NIR luminescence properties of YbIII–TBAPy and YbIII–TIAPy have been examined by acquiring emission spectra and determining emission lifetimes under air or argon and in vacuo. YbIII–TIAPy exhibited high thermal stability (with a decomposition temperature of 400 °C), intense luminescence (with an emission quantum yield under argon of 6.6 %), and effective oxygen-sensing characteristics. These results suggest that NIR luminescent YbIII coordination polymers prepared using pyrene derivatives could have applications in novel thermo-stable oxygen sensors.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Interaction between a zinc porphyrin (ZnPor) as the end-group and poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorene-2,7-vinylene) (PFV) as the main chain in a porphyrin end-modified fluorescent conjugated polymer, ZnPFV, was studied by time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and fluorescence spectroscopy. While fluorescence from the PFV part of ZnPFV showed a spectral profile almost identical to that of a PFV oligomer without end-modification, the emission spectrum of the ZnPor part exhibited a much broader profile compared to that of the reference zinc porphyrin monomer. Based on the analysis of lifetimes and quantum yields, it was found that radiative rate constant of the ZnPor part was enhanced by nearly three times. The observed unusual enhancement in the radiative rate constant was rationalised in terms of a partial π-conjugation between the end group and the main chain, as a result of co-planarisation in fluid solution. On the other hand, the time-resolved EPR spectrum of ZnPFV at 100?K basically showed a similar spectral pattern to that of the reference zinc porphyrin, but with significant differences in zero-field spitting parameters and initial population ratios. The π-system of the excited triplet state is deduced to deviate from D4h symmetry in the end zinc porphyrin groups. The obtained results show that interaction of the porphyrin end group with the main chain of the polymer significantly influences the excited singlet state properties of the porphyrin, while its triplet state properties were affected to a lesser extent.  相似文献

Japanese persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) is recognized as an outstanding source of biologically active compounds relating to many health benefits. In the present study, NMR spectroscopy provided a comprehensive metabolic overview of Japanese persimmon juice. Detailed signal assignments of Japanese persimmon juice were carried out using various 2D NMR techniques incorporated with broadband water suppression enhanced through T1 effects (BB‐WET) or WET sequences, and 26 components, including minor components, were identified. In addition, most components were quantitatively evaluated by the integration of signals using conventional 1H NMR and BB‐WET NMR. This is the first detailed analysis combined with quantitative characterization of chemical components using NMR for Japanese persimmon. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A newly synthesized one‐dimensional (1D) hydrogen‐bonded (H‐bonded) rhodium(II)–η5‐semiquinone complex, [Cp*Rh(η5p‐HSQ‐Me4)]PF6 ([ 1 ]PF6; Cp*=1,2,3,4,5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl; HSQ=semiquinone) exhibits a paraelectric–antiferroelectric second‐order phase transition at 237.1 K. Neutron and X‐ray crystal structure analyses reveal that the H‐bonded proton is disordered over two sites in the room‐temperature (RT) phase. The phase transition would arise from this proton disorder together with rotation or libration of the Cp* ring and PF6? ion. The relative permittivity εb′ along the H‐bonded chains reaches relatively high values (ca., 130) in the RT phase. The temperature dependence of 13C CP/MAS NMR spectra demonstrates that the proton is dynamically disordered in the RT phase and that the proton exchange has already occurred in the low‐temperature (LT) phase. Rate constants for the proton exchange are estimated to be 10?4–10?6 s in the temperature range of 240–270 K. DFT calculations predict that the protonation/deprotonation of [ 1 ]+ leads to interesting hapticity changes of the semiquinone ligand accompanied by reduction/oxidation by the π‐bonded rhodium fragment, producing the stable η6‐hydroquinone complex, [Cp*Rh3+6p‐H2Q‐Me4)]2+ ([ 2 ]2+), and η4‐benzoquinone complex, [Cp*Rh+4p‐BQ‐Me4)] ([ 3 ]), respectively. Possible mechanisms leading to the dielectric response are discussed on the basis of the migration of the protonic solitons comprising of [ 2 ]2+ and [ 3 ], which would be generated in the H‐bonded chain.  相似文献

Garlic (Allium sativum) is the second most important Allium crop that has been used as a vegetable and condiment from ancient times due to its characteristic flavor and taste. Although garlic is a sterile plant that reproduces vegetatively through cloves, garlic shows high biodiversity, as well as phenotypic plasticity and environmental adaptation capacity. To determine the possible mechanism underlying this phenomenon and to provide new genetic materials for the development of a novel garlic cultivar with useful agronomic traits, the metabolic profiles in the leaf tissue of 30 garlic accessions collected from different geographical regions, with a special focus on the Asian region, were investigated using LC/MS. In addition, the total saponin and fructan contents in the roots and cloves of the investigated garlic accessions were also evaluated. Total saponin and fructan contents did not separate the garlic accessions based on their geographical origin, implying that saponin and fructan contents were clone-specific and agroclimatic changes have affected the quantitative and qualitative levels of saponins in garlic over a long history of cultivation. Principal component analysis (PCA) and dendrogram clustering of the LC/MS-based metabolite profiling showed two major clusters. Specifically, many Japanese and Central Asia accessions were grouped in cluster I and showed high accumulations of flavonol glucosides, alliin, and methiin. On the other hand, garlic accessions grouped in cluster II exhibited a high accumulation of anthocyanin glucosides and amino acids. Although most of the accessions were not separated based on country of origin, the Central Asia accessions were clustered in one group, implying that these accessions exhibited distinct metabolic profiles. The present study provides useful information that can be used for germplasm selection and the development of new garlic varieties with beneficial biotic and abiotic stress-adaptive traits.  相似文献

Two salts of the aromatic hydrocarbon decacyclene, {cryptand[2.2.2](Cs+)} (decacyclene.?) ( 1 ) and {Bu3MeP+}(decacyclene.?) ( 2 ), were obtained. In both salts, decacyclene.? radical anions formed channels occupied by cations. However, corrugated hexagonal decacyclene.? layers could be outlined in the crystal structure of 1 with several side‐by‐side C???C approaches. The decacyclene.? radical anions showed strong distortion in both salts, deviating from the C3 symmetry owing to the repulsion of closely arranged hydrogen atoms and the Jahn‐Teller effect. Radical anions showed intense unusually low energy absorption in the IR‐range, with maxima at 4800 and 6000 cm?1. According to the carculations, these bands can originate from the SOMO‐LUMO+1 and SOMO‐LUMO+2 transitions, respectively. Radical anions exhibited a S=1/2 spin state, with an effective magnetic moment of 1.72 μB at 300 K. The decacyclene.? spin antiferromagnetically coupled with a Weiss temperature of ?11 K. Spin ordering was not observed down to 1.9 K owing to spin frustration in the hexagonal decacyclene.? layers.  相似文献

A P-stereogenic linear tetraphosphine tetraoxide, (R,R)- or (S,S)-dpmppm(=O)4, was synthesized to prepare C2 dinuclear M(hfa)3 complexes (M=Eu, Tb, Y) as the first example of lanthanide(III) complexes with P-chiral multidentate phosphine oxides. The mononuclear M(hfa)3 complexes (M=Eu, Y) with a P-chiral diphosphine dioxide, tpdpb(=O)2, were also prepared, and comparison of their photophysical properties for the EuIII complexes revealed that significant chiral induction from the P-chiral centers arises on the achiral M(hfa)3 units through intramolecular π-π stacking constraint in the dinuclear system.  相似文献
