[formula: see text] Both in vivo and in vitro techniques have been developed to test putative intermediates in the biosynthetic pathway to the pseudopterosins, antiinflammatory compounds isolated from Pseudopterogorgia elisabethae. Furthermore, specific activity data we have obtained indicate that pseudopterosin A is a precursor to pseudopterosins B, C, and D. We conclude that in the biosynthesis xylose is attached to the diterpene skeleton to produce pseudopterosin A and is then aceylated to form pseudopterosins B-D. 相似文献
For a fixed positive integer k, consider the collection of all affine hyperplanes in n-space given by xi – xj = m, where i, j [n], i j, and m {0, 1,..., k}. Let Ln,k be the set of all nonempty affine subspaces (including the empty space) which can be obtained by intersecting some subset of these affine hyperplanes. Now give Ln,k a lattice structure by ordering its elements by reverse inclusion. The symmetric group Gn acts naturally on Ln,k by permuting the coordinates of the space, and this action extends to an action on the top homology of Ln,k. It is easy to show by computing the character of this action that the top homology is isomorphic as an Gn-module to a direct sum of copies of the regular representation, CGn. In this paper, we construct an explicit basis for the top homology of Ln,k, where the basis elements are indexed by all labelled, rooted, (k + 1)-ary trees on n-vertices in which the root has no 0-child. This construction gives an explicit Gn-equivariant isomorphism between the top homology of Ln,k and a direct sum of copies of CGn. 相似文献
A flow system has been developed to study relative rate coefficients of hydroxyl radicals reacting with alkanes under conditions relating to tropospheric chemistry. Relative Arrhenius parameters have been measured over the temperature range 243–328 K for pairs of alkanes from a list consisting of n-butane, 2-methylpropane, n-pentane, n-hexane, 2,2- and 2,3-dimethylbutane, 2,3,3-trimethylbutane, and 2,3,4-trimethylpentane. The results have been incorporated into a Structure-Activity Relation for hydroxylalkane reactions which leads to the following group rate coefficients for a temperature range of 240–500 K. 相似文献
Here we examine one of the two right Goldie conditions: the ascending chain condition on right annihilator ideals, r. ACC⊥. One might well ask if a ring has r. ACC⊥, does there exist a bound on the lengths of chains of right annihilator ideals? Under certain additional hypotheses, this bound does exist. By photolyzing azomethane over the temperature range 331–491 K in the presence of trifluoroacetone the kinetics of the addition reaction (1), ?H3 + CF3COCH3 → CF3C(?)(CH3)2 have been studied. Detailed analyses have shown that the principal product of the adduct radical, CF3C(?)(CH3)2, is CH3COCH3 from reaction (?2), CF3C(?)(CH3)2 → CH3COCH3 + ?F3. The rate constant of the addition reaction has been determined to be k1(dm3/mol s) = (4.5 ± 1.4) × 107 exp(-(3370 ± 120)/T) over the temperature range 331–491 K, based on the value k3 = 2.2 × 1010 dm3/mol s for the reaction (3), 2?H3 → C2H6. The results are discussed in relation to existing data for radical additions to groups. 相似文献
