Angular and energy distribution of photons in the reaction of radiational scattering of neutrino (antineutrino) on an electron

An analytic expression for the differential cross section of the neutrino (anti-neutrino)-electron radiational scattering v(¯v)e → v(¯v)eγ, is obtained. This expression describes the angular and energy distributions of photons for any value of the energy of the initial neutrinos (antineutrinos), and for arbitrary (V, A) structure of the weak neutral current of the electron.     

Studies on the zeros of Bessel functions and methods for their computation: 2. Monotonicity,convexity, concavity,and other properties

This work continues the study of real zeros of first- and second-kind Bessel functions and Bessel general functions with real variables and orders begun in the first part of this paper (see M.K. Kerimov, Comput. Math. Math. Phys. 54 (9), 1337–1388 (2014)). Some new results concerning such zeros are described and analyzed. Special attention is given to the monotonicity, convexity, and concavity of zeros with respect to their ranks and other parameters.     

On a boundary value problem of N. I. Ionkin type

We study the spectral properties of a second-order differential operator with regular but not strongly regular boundary conditions. We show that the system of root functions of this operator contains infinitely many associated functions. We prove that a specially chosen system of root functions of this operator forms a basis in the space L _p (0, 1), 1 < p < ∞, which is unconditional for p = 2.     

An inverse coefficient problem for the heat equation in the case of nonlocal boundary conditions

This paper investigates the inverse problem of finding a time-dependent coefficient in a heat equation with nonlocal boundary and integral overdetermination conditions. Under some regularity and consistency conditions on the input data, the existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence upon the data of the solution are shown by using the generalized Fourier method.     

Weak and electromagnetic mechanisms of neutrino-pair photoproduction in a strongly magnetized electron gas

Expressions for the power of neutrino radiation from a degenerate electron gas in a strong magnetic field are derived for the case of neutrino-pair photoproduction via the weak and electromagnetic interaction mechanisms (it is assumed that the neutrino possesses electromagnetic form factors). It is shown that the neutrino luminosity of a medium in the electromagnetic reaction channel may exceed substantially the luminosity in the weak channel. Relative upper bounds on the effective neutrino magnetic moment are obtained.
