The effectiveness of a multifunctional scaffold produced by the electrospinning of emulsions composed of organic PLGA and aqueous collagen-like protein (denoted as Fol-8Col) solutions is demonstrated. The resultant Fol-8Col/PLGA fibrous scaffolds with homogeneous morphology have mean fiber diameters from 600 to 2,000 nm. A uniform distribution of encapsulated Fol-8Col in the fibers is observed by fluorescence microscopy. TEM is used to clarify the representative core/sheath structure of emulsion electrospun Fol-8Col/PLGA fibers. Preliminary release assessment of encapsulated Fol-8Col shows results of sustained release for more than one month from the Fol-8Col/PLGA fibrous mats. The cytocompatibility of fibroblast cell line L929 with the fibrous composite seems promosing.  相似文献

In dealing with phenomena which show a linear response such as viscoelastic or dielectric properties, measurements are carried out by observing the relationship between the stimulus applied to the sample and the response from the sample. Since the Fourier analysis technique is effective in obtaining this relationship, two types of circuitries based on Fourier analysis have been created. Both DMA and dielectric measurement were used to evaluate these circuitries. Results were satisfactory, especially with respect to tanδ precision.
Zusammenfassung Bei der Arbeit mit Erscheinungen, die wie z.B. viskoelastische oder dielektrische Eigenschaften eine lineare Reaktion zeigen, wurden Messungen durch Beobachtung der Beziehung zwischen der auf die Probe angewendeten Aktion und der von der Probe gezeigten Reaktion durchgeführt. Da die Fourier-Analyse eine effektive Technik zur Ermittlung dieser Beziehung ist, wurden auf der Grundlage der Fourier-Analyse zwei Typen von Schemen geschaffen. Sowohl DMA als auch dielektrische Messungen wurden zur Entwicklung dieser Schemen verwendet. Did Resultate waren zufriedenstellend, insbesondere mit Hinblick auf die Genauigkeit von tanδ.

Direct production of single electrons in proton-nucleus collisions at 13 GeV/c has been measured. A rising eπ ratio with decreasing pT above the 10?4 level is observed for low pT single electrons. The source of the rising eπ ratio at low eπ ratio at low pT is discussed in connection with the low mass dielectron continuum below the ? mass region.  相似文献

The skeletons of some classes of terpenoids are unusual in that they contain a larger number of Me groups (or their biosynthetic equivalents such as olefinic methylene groups, hydroxymethyl groups, aldehydes, or carboxylic acids and their derivatives) than provided by their oligoprenyl diphosphate precursor. This is sometimes the result of an oxidative ring‐opening reaction at a terpene‐cyclase‐derived molecule containing the regular number of Me group equivalents, as observed for picrotoxan sesquiterpenes. In this study a sesquiterpene cyclase from Trichoderma spp. is described that can convert farnesyl diphosphate (FPP) directly via a remarkable skeletal rearrangement into trichobrasilenol, a new brasilane sesquiterpene with one additional Me group equivalent compared to FPP. A mechanistic hypothesis for the formation of the brasilane skeleton is supported by extensive isotopic labelling studies.  相似文献

The stresses at Si3N4/Si (1 0 0), (1 1 1) and (1 1 0) interfaces were measured by UV Raman spectroscopy with a 364 nm excitation laser whose penetration depth into the Si substrate was estimated to be 5 nm. The Si3N4 films were formed on Si (1 0 0), (1 1 1) and (1 1 0) using nitrogen-hydrogen (NH) radicals produced in microwave-excited high-density Xe/NH3 mixture plasma. The localized stress detected from Raman peak shift was compressive at the (1 0 0) interface, and tensile at the (1 1 1) and (1 1 0) interfaces. The results showed that stress had strong correlation with the total density of subnitrides at the Si3N4/Si interface, and also with the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of Si the 2p3/2 photoemission spectrum arising from the substrate. We believe that the localized stress affected subnitride formation because the amount of subnitride and the FWHM of Si 2p3/2 decreased while the interface stress shifted in the tensile direction.  相似文献

Trehalose is a non-reducing disaccharide that is found in many organisms but not in mammals. This sugar plays important roles in cryptobiosis of selaginella mosses, tardigrades (water bears), and other animals which revive with water from a state of suspended animation induced by desiccation. The interesting properties of trehalose are due to its unique symmetrical low-energy structure, wherein two glucose units are bonded face-to-face by 1-->1-glucoside links. The Hayashibara Co. Ltd., is credited for developing an inexpensive, environmentally benign and industrial-scale process for the enzymatic conversion of alpha-1,4-linked polyhexoses to alpha,alpha-D-trehalose, which made it easy to explore novel food, industrial, and medicinal uses for trehalose and its derivatives. Trehalosechemistry is a relatively new and emerging field, and polymers of trehalose derivatives appear environmentally benign, biocompatible, and biodegradable. The discriminating properties of trehalose are attributed to its structure, symmetry, solubility, kinetic and thermodynamic stability and versatility. While syntheses of trehalose-based polymer networks can be straightforward, syntheses and characterization of well defined linear polymers with tailored properties using trehalose-based monomers is challenging, and typically involves protection and deprotection of hydroxyl groups to attain desired structural, morphological, biological, and physical and chemical properties in the resulting products. In this review, we will overview known literature on trehalose's fascinating involvement in cryptobiology; highlight its applications in many fields; and then discuss methods we used to prepare new trehalose-based monomers and polymers and explain their properties.  相似文献

Protein-ligand docking programs have been used to efficiently discover novel ligands for target proteins from large-scale compound databases. However, better scoring methods are needed. Generally, scoring functions are optimized by means of various techniques that affect their fitness for reproducing X-ray structures and protein-ligand binding affinities. However, these scoring functions do not always work well for all target proteins. A scoring function should be optimized for a target protein to enhance enrichment for structure-based virtual screening. To address this problem, we propose the supervised scoring model (SSM), which takes into account the protein-ligand binding process using docked ligand conformations with supervised learning for optimizing scoring functions against a target protein. SSM employs a rough linear correlation between binding free energy and the root mean square deviation of a native ligand for predicting binding energy. We applied SSM to the FlexX scoring function, that is, F-Score, with five different target proteins: thymidine kinase (TK), estrogen receptor (ER), acetylcholine esterase (AChE), phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma). For these five proteins, SSM always enhanced enrichment better than F-Score, exhibiting superior performance that was particularly remarkable for TK, AChE, and PPARgamma. We also demonstrated that SSM is especially good at enhancing enrichments of the top ranks of screened compounds, which is useful in practical drug screening.  相似文献

We used gravimetric analysis (GA) and (13)C solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to study solid-phase transition from the transparent single crystal of L-serine (L-Ser) monohydrate to a turbid powder. We found that L-Ser monohydrate loses water molecules and transforms into an anhydrate, thus experimentally demonstrating Frey's assumption. Application of a handmade cross-polarization (CP) NMR probe with a saddle-type coil to the oriented crystal of the L-Ser monohydrate revealed the dehydration mechanism. Furthermore, the chemical shift tensor components of the carboxyl carbon in L-Ser monohydrate were determined. The difference in the tensor component of delta(22) between the monohydrate and anhydrate forms was more than 7 ppm, probably owing to differences in the hydrogen-bonding structure of each form.  相似文献

Poly[n-hexyl-(S)-3-methylpentylsilane] aggregates confined in microcapsules to keep the aggregation number and ranging in average polymer mass m(p) in a microcapsule from 2 x 10(-)(16) to 2 x 10(-)(14) g were studied by circular dichroism measurements in ethanol (a nonsolvent) and tetrahydrofuran (an associative solvent at low temperature) at various temperatures. The weight-average molecular weight M(w) and the polydispersity index (the ratio of M(w) to the number-average molecular weight) of the polysilane sample were 6.6 x 10(4) and 1.07, respectively, and the average number of polymer molecules in each capsule was estimated to be 1.9 x 10(3) for m(p) = 2 x 10(-)(16) g and 1.7 x 10(5) for m(p) = 2 x 10(-)(14) g. The size of each aggregate did not affect the optical activity because the circular dichroism thus obtained was proportional to m(p) under the same conditions in the investigated m(p) range; on the other hand, the peak height of the circular dichroism in tetrahydrofuran had a significant hysteresis between 0 and 25 degrees C. Moreover, the circular dichroism appreciably reflected the prepared method, that is, the temperature and solvent; in other words, the aggregates memorized the initial conditions in their stacking structures.  相似文献
