Ways of utilizing the true separation efficiency of monolithic silica (MS) columns were studied. The true performance of MS columns, both regular-sized (rod-type clad with PEEK resin, 4.6 mm ID, 10 cm) and capillary sized (in 100 or 200 microm ID fused silica capillary, 25-140 cm) was evaluated by calculating the contribution of extra-column effects. HETP values of 7-9 microm were observed for solutes having retention factors (kvalues) of up to 4 for rod columns and up to 15 for a capillary column. The high permeability of MS columns allowed the use of long columns, with several connected together in the case of rod columns. Narrow-bore connectors gave good results. Peak variance caused by a column connector ranges from 50 to 70% of that caused by one rod-type column for up to three connectors or four columns in 80% methanol, but the addition of a 4th or 5th connector to add a 5th and 6th column, respectively, caused a much greater increase in peak variance, especially for long-retained solutes, which is greater than the variance caused by one rod column. Rod columns seem to show slightly lower efficiency at a pressure higher than 10 MPa or so. The use of acetonitrile-water as a mobile phase better preserved the ability of individual rod columns to generate up to 100,000 theoretical plates with 14 columns connected. Methods for eliminating extra-column effects in micro-HPLC were also studied. Split injection and on-column detection resulted in optimum performance. A long MS capillary measuring 140 cm produced 160,000 theoretical plates. The column efficiency of a capillary column was not affected by the pressure, showing advantages over the rod columns that exhibited peak broadening caused by connectors and pressure.  相似文献

Several approaches to the synthesis of ebelactone A 2 are described, culminating in the synthesis of the benzenesulfonate of 2-epi-ebelactone A 161. All the approaches were based on three fragments A, B and C, originally defined in general terms in, but eventually used as the aldehyde 72, the allenylsilane 3 and the aldehyde 139, respectively. They were joined, first B with C, and then B+C with A. In the main routes to fragments A and C, the relative stereochemistry was controlled by highly stereoselective enolate methylations 67-->67, 68-->69, and 135-->136, in each case anti to an adjacent silyl group, and by a highly stereoselective hydroboration of an allylsilane 137-->138, also anti to the silyl group. The hydroxyl groups destined to be on C-3 and C-11 were unmasked by silyl-to-hydroxy conversions 69-->70 and 138-->139 with retention of configuration. The stereochemistry created in the coupling of fragment B to C was controlled by the stereospecifically anti S(E)2' reaction between the enantiomerically enriched allenylsilane 3 and the aldehyde 139. The double bond geometry was controlled by syn stereospecific silylcupration 148-->151, and preserved by iododesilylation 151-->152 of the vinylsilane with retention of configuration, and Nozaki-Hiyama-Kishi coupling with the aldehyde 72 gave the whole carbon skeleton 153 of ebelactone A with the correct relative configuration, all of which had been controlled by organosilicon chemistry. In the steps to remove the superfluous allylic hydroxyl, an intermediate allyllithium species 156 abstracted the proton on C-2, and its reprotonation inverted the configuration at that atom. Other routes to the fragments A and C were also explored, both successful and unsuccessful, both silicon-based and conventional, and a number of unexpected side reactions were investigated.  相似文献

The density functional theory (DFT) calculations have been performed for the reduction decompositions of solvents widely used in Li-ion secondary battery electrolytes, ethylene carbonate (EC), propylene carbonate (PC), dimethyl carbonates (DMC), ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC), and diethyl carbonate (DEC), including a typical electrolyte additive, vinylene carbonate (VC), at the level of B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,p), both in the gas phase and solution using the polarizable conductor calculation model. In the gas phase, the first electron reduction for the cyclic carbonates and for the linear carbonates is found to be exothermic and endothermic, respectively, while the second electron reduction is endothermic for all the compounds examined. On the contrary, in solution both first and second electron reductions are exothermic for all the compounds. Among the solvents and the additive examined, the likelihood of undergoing the first electron reduction in solution was found in the order of EC > PC > VC > DMC > EMC > DEC with EC being the most likely reduced. VC, on the other hand, is most likely to undergo the second electron reduction among the compounds, in the order of VC > EC > PC. Based on the results, the experimentally demonstrated effectiveness of VC as an excellent electrolyte additive was discussed. The bulk thermodynamic properties of two dilithium alkylene glycol dicarbonates, dilithium ethylene glycol dicarbonate (Li-EDC) and dilithium 1,2-propylene glycol dicarbonate (Li-PDC), as the major component of solid-electrolyte interface (SEI) films were also examined through molecular dynamics (MD) simulations in order to understand the stability of the SEI film. It was found that film produced from a decomposition of EC, modeled by Li-EDC, has a higher density, more cohesive energy, and less solubility to the solvent than the film produced from decomposition of PC, Li-PDC. Further, MD simulations of the interface between the decomposition compound and graphite suggested that Li-EDC has more favorable interactions with the graphite surface than Li-PDC. The difference in the SEI film stability and the behavior of Li-ion battery cycling among the solvents were discussed in terms of the molecular structures.  相似文献

Core-shell nanoparticles have been prepared by irradiation of gamma-ray on block copolymer micelles consisting of hydrophilic polyacrylic acid and hydrophobic polyisoprene with each 40 monomer units. The structure was determined by means of dynamic light scattering (DLS), small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The size distribution of the core-shell nanoparticles determined by DLS and AFM was very narrow. The average diameter of the particles decreased from 48 nm for the original micelles to 26 nm by the irradiation of 30 kGy. The core size determined by SAXS combined with DLS was roughly constant of 10 nm, irrespective of irradiation dose, whereas the shell thickness of the micelles was twice as large as the core size, and decreased with increasing irradiation dose.  相似文献

Secondary ion mass spectra of N-methylpyridinium halides (C+X?, where C+ is a pyridinium cation and X? is a halogen anion) exhibit the C+ ions, a series of cluster ions ((C+)n(X?)n–1) and, furthermore, remarkable [CX – R]+ ions (R = H or Me). The mechanism of the formation of [CX – R]+ ions was investigated by the use of deuterated compounds and B/E and B2/E constant linked-scan measurements. A possible explanation is proposed in which the ions are produced through substitution reactions between species constituting the C2X+ cluster ions in the gas phase.  相似文献

Optically enriched homo-binuclear Fischer chromium carbene complexes with planar chiral arene chromium complexes gave α-allyl β-arylpropionates up to 97% ee by reaction with allyl alkoxide and subsequent photo-oxidative demetalation. The chiral hetero-binuclear tungsten carbene complexes afforded anti α-allyl β-hydroxy β-arylpropionates as a major product up to 92/8 dr by the same reaction sequence. High diastereoselectivity in these reactions is contributed to the planar chirality of the arene chromium complex, even though the reaction was carried out under vigorous basic media. The reaction products, α-allyl β-arylpropionates were derived by 1,3-M(CO)5 shift and subsequent [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement. Also, the corresponding chromium-uncomplexed α,β-unsaturated Fischer carbene complexes afforded α-allyl β-arylpropionates under the same conditions. Formation of β-allyl β-arylpropionates via 1,2-M(CO)5 shift followed by [3,4]-sigmatropic rearrangement was not observed in both reactions of chromium-coordinated and the corresponding chromium-uncoordinated α,β-unsaturated Fischer carbene complexes with allyl alkoxide in the presence of base.  相似文献

Naphthyl tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids, atropisomeric korupensamines A and B and ent-korupensamine B, were synthesized by syn-selective cross-coupling of a planar chiral arene chromium complex with naphthylboronic acid and subsequent axial isomerization or tricarbonylchromium migration to the inverted arene face as a key step. Palladium(0)-catalyzed cross-coupling of planar chiral arene chromium complex 12 with naphthylboronic acid 9 gave syn-biaryl coupling product 13. syn-Biaryl chromium complex 13 was heated in 1:1 mixture of di-n-butyl ether and 1,2-dichloroethane to give a face-inverted anti-biaryl chromium complex 14 without axial isomerization. Korupensamine A was synthesized from the syn-biaryl chromium complex 13 via o-formyl syn-biaryl chromium complex 10, and ent-korupensamine B was prepared from the face-inverted anti-biaryl chromium complex 14. On the other hand, difluoro-substituted syn-biaryl chromium complex 40 with a formyl group afforded anti-biaryl chromium complex 41 containing a rotated central bond by heating in xylene. The chromium-complexed fluorine atom was easily substituted with an isopropoxy group by nucleophilic substitution. Use of these reactions allowed (+)-2-bromo-3,5-difluorobenzaldehyde chromium complex (37) as a single chiral source to be converted to atropisomeric korupensamines A and B, respectively.  相似文献

The molecular structure and photoreaction of poly(methylpropylsilane) (PMPrS) are investigated. The 29Si-NMR spectra reveal that PMPrS is a linear polymer with no blanches. Fine multiple splitting of 29Si-NMR is observed at room temperature. This multiple splitting is thought to be due to molecular conformation. The photo-oxidation reaction of the PMPrS film is found to be caused by light irradiation at the UV absorption band, 330 nm. Quantum efficiencies of scission and crosslink related to photodegradation are evaluated. There is little difference in either the molecular structure or photoreactivities between the high and the low molecular weight portions of the bimodal molecular weight distributions of PMPrS.  相似文献

Zinc porphyrin-naphthalenediimide (ZnP-NIm) dyads and zinc porphyrin-pyromellitdiimide-naphthalenediimide (ZnP-Im-NIm) triad have been employed to examine the effects of metal ions on photoinduced charge-separation (CS) and charge-recombination (CR) processes in the presence of metal ions (scandium triflate (Sc(OTf)(3)) or lutetium triflate (Lu(OTf)(3)), both of which can bind with the radical anion of NIm). Formation of the charge-separated states in the absence and in the presence of Sc(3+) was confirmed by the appearance of absorption bands due to ZnP(.) (+) and NIm(.) (-) in the absence of metal ions and of those due to ZnP(.) (+) and the NIm(.) (-)/Sc(3+) complex in the presence of Sc(3+) in the time-resolved transient absorption spectra of dyads and triad. The lifetimes of the charge-separated states in the presence of 1.0 x 10(-3) M Sc(3+) (14 micros for ZnP-NIm, 8.3 micros for ZnP-Im-NIm) are more than ten times longer than those in the absence of metal ions (1.3 micros for ZnP-NIm, 0.33 micros for ZnP-Im-NIm). In contrast, the rate constants of the CS step determined by the fluorescence lifetime measurements are the same, irrespective of the presence or absence of metal ions. This indicates that photoinduced electron transfer from (1)ZnP(*) to NIm in the presence of Sc(3+) occurs without involvement of the metal ion to produce ZnP(.) (+)-NIm(.) (-), followed by complexation with Sc(3+) to afford the ZnP(.) (+)-NIm(.) (-)/Sc(3+) complex. The one-electron reduction potential (E(red)) of the NIm moiety in the presence of a metal ion is shifted in a positive direction with increasing metal ion concentration, obeying the Nernst equation, whereas the one-electron oxidation potential of the ZnP moiety remains the same. The driving force dependence of the observed rate constants (k(ET)) of CS and CR processes in the absence and in the presence of metal ions is well evaluated in terms of the Marcus theory of electron transfer. In the presence of metal ions, the driving force of the CS process is the same as that in the absence of metal ions, whereas the driving force of the CR process decreases with increasing metal ion concentration. The reorganization energy of the CR process also decreases with increasing metal ion concentration, when the CR rate constant becomes independent of the metal ion concentration.  相似文献

Four new oxygenated tricyclic diterpenoids have been isolated from the Caribbean brown alga Dictyota divaricata. The structures of these new compounds were secured by an X-ray analysis of a convenient diol derivative, followed by interconversion where possible. The new diterpenoids belong to the dolastane group first isolated from the herbivorous mollusc Dolabella auricularia and their isolation here indicates that the sea hare most likely derived these compounds from brown seaweeds of the family Dictyotaceae.  相似文献
