KL0-KS0 transmission regeneration on deuterons and neutrons in a momentum range of 10–50 GeV/c

The energy dependence of the K_L⁰-K_S⁰ transmission regeneration amplitudes on deuterons and neutrons in the momentum region 10–50 GeV/c is determined. The moduli of the modified transmission amplitudes are momentum dependent. These dependences are fitted by the expression A_jp^?nj, where A_j and n_j (j = d, n) are constants:

$\text{A}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>n</mtext>}}\text{=1.97 ±0.14}\text{mb}\text{, n}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>n</mtext>}}\text{=0.530±0.019,}\text{for neutrons}\text{,}$

The amplitude phases do not depend on the kaon momentum and are equal to $\text{?}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>d</mtext>}}\text{= (?130.9 ± 2.7)°}$?_n = (?132.3 ± 1.7)°. The mean value of the ratio of the total cross-section differences for K⁰ and K⁰ interactions with neutrons and protons is determined. The residues of the partial ω and ? amplitudes, which contribute to the kaon-nucleon interaction amplitudes, are also obtained.     

Correlation femtoscopy in neutron-carbon interactions at average neutron energy of 51 GeV

Correlations of pairs of Λ hyperons, neutral kaons, and charged pions having a low relative momentum are analyzed on the basis of data obtained at the EXCHARM facility in neutron-carbon interactions at an average neutron energy of 51 GeV. Preliminary results of this analysis are presented.     

Correlation femtoscopy of neutral kaons in the EXCHARM experiment

Interference correlations of neutral-kaon pairs produced in the interactions of 20-to 70-GeV neutrons with a carbon target are studied by using the EXCHARM spectrometer. Constructive correlations at low relative 4-momenta are observed for K _S ⁰ K _S ⁰ pairs. The kaon-generation radius is determined.

Computing for ongoing experiments on high-energy physics at Laboratory of Particle Physics at JINR

A computer infrastructure constructed at JINR’s Laboratory of Particle Physics, purposed for the effective participation of JINR’s experts in ongoing experiments in particle and nuclear physics is presented. The principles of the design and construction of the PC farm are outlined, and the computer and information services used for effective application of distributed computer and information resources are described.
