A new proof of admissibility of tests in MANOVA is given using Stein's theorem [7]. The convexity condition of Stein's theorem is proved directly by means of majorization rather than by the supporting hyperplane approach. The use of N‐(p‐chlorophenyl)methylbenzoxazole‐2‐thione as a sulfur‐atom donor enables the catalytic [2+2+1] cycloaddition of diynes in wet DMF at 80 °C when open to air, thus affording diverse fused thiophenes with good yields and wide functional‐group compatibility. A plausible mechanism, involving a cationic ruthenacycle intermediate, was also proposed on the basis of several control experiments.  相似文献

3,3'-Dihydroxy-alpha,beta-diethyldiphenylethane (I), an isomer of hexestrol (II), was found to have a strong hypotensive effect on rats and antifungal activity against some pathogenic fungi. The hypotensive effect of I (-100.0 +/- 21.0 mmHg, 10 mg/kg, i.v.) was stronger than that of II (-40.0 +/- 2.60 mmHg, i.v.). Unlike II and other oxystilbene-related compounds already tested, I showed prolonged hypotensive action at the dose of 10 mg/kg, and the blood pressure was not restored to the original level within 20 min. I also showed antifungal activity against all fungi tested (minimal inhibitory concentration: 10-120 micrograms/ml). It should be emphasized that by shifting the phenolic hydroxyl group to m-position, the biological activities were greatly increased.  相似文献

The tumour-localizing abilities of various kinds of porphyrin derivatives in tumour-bearing hamsters were assessed by nitrogen-pulsed laser spectrofluorometry (N2-PLS). On examination of porphine derivatives (from haemoglobin), it was found that the dimer and acetylated and amidated compounds had a high affinity for tumour tissue; the dimer and hydroxylated compound of phorbine derivatives (from chlorophyll) also showed a high affinity. Furthermore, of the metalloporphines (gallium, zinc and indium complexes), those which contained hydrophilic groups showed a high affinity for tumour tissue; of the metallophorbines (gallium, zinc and indium complexes), those which contained hydrophobic groups showed a high affinity. A correlation was found between the side-chain structure of the porphyrins and metalloporphyrins and their affinity for tumour tissue.  相似文献

A series of 8-methoxyquinolones bearing 3-amino-4-methylpyrrolidines or 3-amino-4-fluoromethylpyrrolidines at the C-7 position was synthesized and their physicochemical and biological properties were evaluated. All of the compounds synthesized showed more potent activity than LVFX (3) against both gram-positive and negative bacteria. Increases in lipophilicity of these compounds had desirable effects on their potency of single intravenous toxicity and pharmacokinetic profiles in animals. Among the compounds synthesized, 1-fluorocyclopropyl derivatives 17 and 20, and 7-(cis-3-amino-4-fluoromethylpyrrolidinyl) derivative 19 (DC-756h) showed negative responses in the micronucleus test in mice while 1-cyclopropyl-7-(3-aminopyrrolidinyl) derivative 16 showed a positive response. These results suggested that the introduction of a fluorine atom into the 3-aminopyrrolidinyl substituent resulted in favorable influence on genetic toxicity as well as into the N-1 cyclopropyl substituent.  相似文献
