The influence of ferric acetylacetonate [Fe(acac)3] on the photodegradation of model compounds of polyethylene (PE) was examined. By studying electron-spin-resonance (ESR) spectra of photoirradiated compounds such as 1-octene and 1,7-octadiene, which contain carbon double bonds, Fe(acac)3 was found to accelerate the formation of allyl radical by contact with them. On the other hand, Fe(acac)3 suppressed the radical formation based on Norrish type I reaction in a carbonyl group of compounds such as 2-octanone and 3-octanone. Based on the study of ultraviolet (UV) spectra as well as ESR spectra on photoirradiated samples, the influence of Fe(acac)3 on the photodecomposition of model compounds of PE was discussed. Finally, the discussion turned to the mechanism of photodecomposition of PE in the presence of ferric salt.  相似文献

Ion exchange resins are widely used in the field of nuclear industry. The present work aimed at the development of a method for complete decomposition of cation exchange resins with H2O2 in the presence of Fe3+ ion. The decomposition reaction proceeded at ambient temperature and decomposition time was greatly shortened with increasing concentration of Fe3+ ion rather than that of H2O2. The catalytic action of Fe3+ ion was suppressed with increase of HNO3 concentration. As much as 4 g of the air-dried resin could be decomposed with 8 ml of 30% H2O2, and the use of about 60 ml of 30% H2O2 resulted in the complete decomposition of organic carbon to CO2. Absence of any orgnaic carbon in the residual solution will simplify the final disposal.  相似文献

The fragmentation of peptides and oligosaccharides in the gas phase was investigated by means of electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FTICR) mass spectrometry coupled with dissociation by a laser-cleavage infrared multiphoton dissociation (IRMPD) technique. In this technique, an IR free-electron laser is used as a tunable source of IR radiation to cause cleavage of the ionized samples introduced into the FTICR cell. The gas-phase IRMPD spectra of protonated peptides (substance P and angiotensin II) and two sodiated oligosaccharides (sialyl Lewis X and lacto-N-fucopentaose III) were obtained over the IR scan range of 5.7-9.5 microm. In the IRMPD spectra for the peptide, fragment ions are observed as y/b-type fragment ions in the range 5.7-7.5 microm, corresponding to cleavage of the backbone of the parent amino acid sequence, whereas the spectra of the oligosaccharides have major peaks in the range 8.4-9.5 microm, corresponding to photoproducts of the B/Y type.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of high-entropy-alloy (HEA) nanoparticles (NPs) consisting of five platinum group metals (Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir and Pt) through a facile one-pot polyol process. We investigated the electronic structure of HEA NPs using hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, which is the first direct observation of the electronic structure of HEA NPs. Significantly, the HEA NPs possessed a broad valence band spectrum without any obvious peaks. This implies that the HEA NPs have random atomic configurations leading to a variety of local electronic structures. We examined the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and observed a remarkably high HER activity on HEA NPs. At an overpotential of 25 mV, the turnover frequencies of HEA NPs were 9.5 and 7.8 times higher than those of a commercial Pt catalyst in 0.05 M H2SO4 and 1.0 M KOH electrolytes, respectively. Moreover, the HEA NPs showed almost no loss during a cycling test and were much more stable than the commercial Pt catalyst. Our findings on HEA NPs may provide a new paradigm for the design of catalysts.

The mixed oxide phosphate (≡SiO)2Ti(O3POH)2 having a specific surface area of SBET= 595 m2 g−1 and an average pore volume of 0.43 mL g−1 was prepared by the sol-gel processing method. The material showed the following characteristics: Ti=11.6 wt% and P=10.5 wt%; ion exchange capacity of 0.60 mmol g−1. Meldola's Blue (MLB) dye was adsorbed, by an ion exchange reaction, from an aqueous solution in a quantity of 0.62 mmol g−1. The dye was strongly retained and was not easily leached from the matrix even in presence of 0.5 M electrolyte solution. Changing the solution pH between 2.5 and 7.0, the midpoint potential of the dye-adsorbed (≡SiO)2 Ti(O3POMLB)2 matrix carbon paste electrode remained practically constant, i.e. about 20 mV vs. SCE. This is not the usual behaviour of MLB since its midpoint potential changes considerably in solution phase as the pH is changed. The modified electrode has proved to be stable and electrocatalytically active for hydrazine oxidation at pH 6. Received: 22 June 1999 / Accepted: 7 September 1999  相似文献

UV rays in sunlight are an important factor in the degradation of chemicals. In this study, we investigated the degradation of nonionic surfactants, nonylphenol polyethoxylates (NPEOs) with 10 or 70 ethylene oxide (EO) units using UVA, B and C, and their genotoxic change based on phosphorylation of histone H2AX (γ‐H2AX), a marker of DNA damage. NPEOs were degraded dependent on the energy of UV, that is, UVC having the highest energy was most effective, whereas UVA having the lowest energy caused little change. The EO side chain of NPEO(70) was broken near the benzene ring by UV, producing NPEOs with a shortened EO chain (around 10 units). The generation of γ‐H2AX reflected the pattern of degradation; shortening of the EO chain changed NPEO(70) into an inducer for γ‐H2AX, and degradation of NPEO(10) attenuated the genotoxicity. The γ‐H2AX generated by NPEO(10) and UV‐degraded NPEO(70) was independent of the cell cycle. The formation of DNA double strand breaks detected by gel electrophoresis was consistent with the results for γ‐H2AX. These results suggested that UV rays can make NPEOs harmless or genotoxic according to the degradation of the EO side chain, the effects being dependent on wavelength.  相似文献

The 26S proteasome is the proteolytic machinery of the ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic system responsible for most of the regulated intracellular protein degradation in eukaryotic cells. Previously, we demonstrated meiotic cell cycle dependent phosphorylation of α4 subunit of the 26S proteasome. In this study, the fragmentation of gas-phase protonated Angiotensin II is investigated using electrospray ionization (ESI), Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR), and mass spectrometry (MS) with a laser cleavage infrared multiphoton dissociation (IRMPD) technique. The experimental results show that the spectra peaks for the photoproducts are y2/b6- and y7-type ions, corresponding to the cleavage of His-Pro and Asp-Arg in the parent amino acid sequence. The fragmentation of the peptide under collision-free vacuum conditions is modeled using molecular dynamics simulations (MD). The binding energy for the peptide bonds (C'-N bond) of Angiotensin II is estimated from ab initio calculations. The calculations are directed at predicting experimental measurements of the product ions from the photodissociation of the peptide. The product distributions simulated by the MD dissociation trajectories include predominantly y7/b1 and y2/b6 pair ions.  相似文献

The solubilization behavior of oleyl alcohol by pure and mixtures of surfactants systems have been studied in terms of the maximum additive concentration (MAC), the solubilizing power, and the particle sizes of micelles with or without oleyl alcohol. The surfactants used are amphoteric (N,N-dimethyl-N-lauroyl lysine, DMLL; N,N,N-trimethyl-N-lauroyl lysine, TMLL; N,N-dimethyl-N-(carboxymethyl)-lauryl ammonium, DMCL), anionic (sodium dodecyl sulfate, SDS) and nonionic (alkyl polyoxyethylene ethers).The maximum additive concentration of oleyl alcohol by pure surfactants is larger by nonionic surfactants than by others.For a nonionic surfactant system mixed with DMLL, the mixing effect of surfactant on the increase in the MAC is not recognized. While, for DMLL mixed with SDS, the MAC becomes larger than that by pure surfactants. This may be attributed to the fact that the large micellar size will result in increasing the maximum additive concentration.  相似文献

The Pt-Ir microelectrode modified through one step electropolymerization is proposed for the isocitrate amperometric biosensor construction. The enzyme (isocitrate dehydrogenase-ICDH), coenzyme (NADP(+)) and mediator (Meldola's Blue) were immobilized onto the microelectrode surface in one step from a PIPES buffer solution containing pyrrole. The optimized experimental conditions were 25 cycles of cyclic voltammetric in a solution containing 3.58 10(-5) mol l(-1) of mediator, 3.51 10(-4) mol l(-1) of coenzyme and 2.68 U ml(-1) of enzyme. In contrast to the biosensor for isocitrate reported in literature, just one enzyme was immobilized and no coenzyme addition in the solution of analysis was necessary. Catalytic currents were proportional to the isocitrate concentration between 7.7 10(-6) and 1.04 10(-4) mol l(-1), showing good repeatability. The detection limit of the proposed biosensor was 3.50 10(-6) mol l(-1), the response time was lower than 20 s, the lifetime was about 30 determinations and no significant interference of sugars and citric acid was verified. Orange juice samples were analysed by both methodology biosensor and spectrophotometric commercial kit, and the obtained results presented a good correlation. The data demonstrated that the developed biosensor is suitable for isocitrate determination in orange juice without matrix interferences.  相似文献
