The Bohlmann-Rahtz reaction has been used to prepare 2,3,6-trisubstituted pyridines suitable for use in library synthesis. The synthesis of piperidine substituted nicotinic acid derivative 9 has been optimised and carried out on a large scale to give ca. 500 g of scaffold which was used in the generation of the pyridine library 11.  相似文献

Complex organic mixtures, such as coal liquefaction and oil shale products and by-products, are comprised of hundreds or thousands of individual components. State-of-the-art high resolution gas chromatography does not always provide sufficient resolution to allow accurate quantitation or identification of many compounds of interest. The concept of dual capillary column chromatography combines the different resolving characteristics of two capillary columns coated with different stationary phases into a single chromatographic run. In this approach, both columns are connected to the same injection port. Analysis of complex mixtures in this fashion can confirm the identification and quantitation of components on two columns of different polarity with little increased analysis time, can provide a means of obtaining quantitative data for individual components which are known to coelute on any one column, and can alert one to unknown coelution problems that would be undetected by gas chromatographic analysis on a single capillary column. Simultaneous dual column analysis was applied to three samples, the neutral polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) fraction of a Solvent Refined Coal-II (SRC-II) heavy distillate, the nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic compound (N-PAC) fraction of an SRC-II heavy distillate, and the basic fraction from a shale oil process water. Fused silica capillary columns coated with SE-54 and Durawax 3 were used for the analyses of the heavy distillate, while SE-54 an Carbowax 20M capillary columns were used for the analysis of the process water.  相似文献

Ab initio molecular orbital calculations using the STO3-21G basis set has been carried out for the cluster series Na n + , Na n , and Na n (wheren=2–7). The basis set is shown to be reliable compared with more extensive basis sets at the Hartree-Fock level. Thirty-one optimized structures are reported and discussed, many of which (especially for the anions) have not been considered. The STO3-21G//STO3-21G calculations suggest that for most of the species the optimum geometries are planar. In particular, the optimized structures for the anionic species should provide a starting point for more sophisticated configuration interaction calculations.  相似文献

α- and β-Cyclodextrins accelerate the Smiles rearrangement of 4-nitrophenyl salicylate which proceeds through the mechanism of intramolecular aromatic nucleophilic substitution. The binding and catalytic rate constants were calculated from the dependences of the observed pseudo-first-order rate constants of the rearrangement reaction on cyclodextrin concentration obtained at various pH values. The catalysis was interpreted in terms of a tighter binding of the anionic, highly delocalized δ-complex intermediate than that of the substrate to cyclodextrins.  相似文献

S2(B-X) chemiluminescence, primarily from ν′ = 0 and 1, has been observed in alkali atom—SCl2 reactions. The addition of He or Ar buffer gas to the reaction chamber alters the reaction dynamics, and at certain buffer gas pressures the S2 emission originates exclusively from the ν′ = 6–9 vibrational levels of the B(3Σu?) state.  相似文献

A projection-valued state is defined to be a completely orthoadditive map from the projections on one Hilbert space into the projections on another Hilbert space, which preserves the unit. High-performance chelation ion chromatography (HPCIC) was employed to retain cationic Cr(III) on an anion-exchange column and hence allow the separation of the two most prevalent forms of chromium, Cr(II) and Cr(VI). A mobile phase of nitric acid was utilized at pH = 1.5; additionally, 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid was used at a concentration of 6 mM. Additives with different structural characteristics were used in an effort to elucidate retention mechanisms. Inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used for chromium detection. A collision cell was utilized to reduce chloride-based polyatomic ions that may interfere with the detection of Cr(III), and a detection limit study yielded levels in the low part-per-billion range. The newly developed method was applied to the chromatographic analysis of samples of an incubation medium containing Cr(VI) incubated with cell nuclei.  相似文献

Five New unusual monoterpene-substituted dihydrochalcones, the adunctins A–E (1″S)-1-{2′-hydroxy-4′-methoxy-6′-[4″-methyl-1″-(1?-methylethyl)cyclohex-3″ -en-1″ -yloxy]phenyl}-3-phenylpropan-1-one ( 1 ), (5aR*,8R*,9aR*)-3-phenyl-1-[5′,8′,9′,9′a-tetrahydro-3′-hydroxy-1′-methoxy-8′-(1″-methylethyl)-5′-a-methyldibenzo-[b,d]furan-4′-yl]propan-1-one ( 2 ), (2′R*,4″S*)-1-{6′-hydroxy-4′-methoxy-4″-(1?-methylethyl)spiro[benzo[b]-furan-2′(3′H),1″ -cyclohex-2″ -en]-7′-yl}-3-phenylpropan-1-one ( 3 ), (2′R*,4″R*)-1-{6′-hydroxy-4′-methylethyl-4″-(1?-methylethyl)spiro[benzo[b]furan-2′(3′H),1″-cyclohex-2″-en]-7′-yl}-3-phenypropan-1-one ( 4 ), and (5′aR*,6′S*, 9′R*,9′aS*)-1-[5′a,6′,7′,8′,9′a-hexahydro-3′,6′-methoxy-6′-methyl-9′-(1″-methylethyl)dibenzo[b,d]-furan-4′-yl]-3-phenylpropan-1-one ( 5 ) were isolated from the leaves of Piper aduncum (Piperaceae) by preparative liquid chromatography. In addition, (?)-methyllindaretin ( 6 ), trans-phytol, and α-tocopherol ( = vitamin E) were also isolated and identified. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopy as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The antibacterial and cytotoxic potentials of the isolates were also investigated.  相似文献
