The present article describes the synthesis and characterization of tetracoordinated boron (III) complexes with monobasic bidentate ligands (L 1 H, L 2 H, L 3 H, L 4 H, L 5 H, and L 6 H) having the general formulae PhB(L)(OH) and PhB(L) 2 . The 1:1 and 1:2 reactions of phenyl boronic acid with monobasic bidentate ligands resulted in the formation of colored solids. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight determinations, and IR and NMR ( 1 H, 13 C and 11 B) spectroscopy, as well as UV-vis spectral studies. Based on these studies, a tetrahedral geometry has been proposed for the resulting complexes. The ligands, along with their complexes, have been screened in vitro against a number of pathogenic fungal and bacterial strains. The studies indicate that the boron chelates are more potent than the parent ligands. 相似文献

Tetra- and pentacoordinated antimony and bismuth derivatives have been prepared by the interactions of monophenylantimonydichloride(III), trichlorostibane, and trichlorobismuthane with the sodium salts of 3-(indolin-2-one)hydrazinecarbothioamide (L1H) and 3-(indolin-2-one)hydrazinecarboxamide (L2H), under microwave irradiation as well as by conventional heating. These compounds were further characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques including UV, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectra. The influence of active fraction isolated from pods of an indigenous plant, Moringa oleifera (MoAF) was studied on the pharmacokinetic profile of the orally administered frontline anti‐tuberculosis drug rifampicin (20 mg/kg b.w.) in Swiss albino mice. The antibiotic rifampicin alone and in combination with MoAF (0.1 mg/kg b.w.) was administered orally and heparanized blood samples were collected from the orbital plexus of mice for plasma separation at 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 h, post treatment. Plasma rifampicin concentration, pharmacokinetic parameters and drug metabolizing enzyme (cytochrome P‐450) activity were determined. The pharmacokinetic data revealed that MoAF‐treated animals had significantly increased rifampicin plasma concentration, Cmax, Kel, t½(a), t½(el), Ka and AUC as well as inhibited rifampicin‐induced cytochrome P‐450 activity. In conclusion, the result of this study suggested that the bioavailability‐enhancing property of MoAF may help to lower the dosage level and shorten the treatment course of rifampicin. The incorporation of (±)-norcoclaurine, (±)-coclaurine, (±)-N-methylcoclairine, (±)-N-methylnorcoclaurine into nornuciferine-I in Croton sparsiflorus morong has been studied, and the specific utilization of the (±)-N-methylcoclaurine demonstrated. The evidence supports the direct oxidative coupling of (+)-(S)-N-methylcoclaurine to give N-methylcrotsparine, which in turn is shown to be a specific precursor of nornuciferine-I. Bromocresol Purple (BCP) dye doped SAN films were fabricated by varying the concentration of dye and studied the effect on the optical parameters. The transmission of BCP was above 85% in the range of 550–900 nm. At 0.03% of dye the films showed minimum propagation losses (0.7 db/cm). A mode filter was fabricated using BCP doped SAN films and Methyl Red doped polystyrene films were coated over them. The concentration of Methyl Red in polystrene and BCP in styrene acrylonitrile was varied from 0.01 to 0.05% (w/v). It was observed that at 0.03% of Methyl red and BCP the propagation losses (0.57 db/cm) were minimum in the multilayer structure. BCP doped polymer films can be used to fabricate other photonic devices too. 相似文献
