We characterize the set of shared quantum states which contain a cryptographically private key. This allows us to recast the theory of privacy as a paradigm closely related to that used in entanglement manipulation. It is shown that one can distill an arbitrarily secure key from bound entangled states. There are also states that have less distillable private keys than the entanglement cost of the state. In general, the amount of distillable key is bounded from above by the relative entropy of entanglement. Relationships between distillability and distinguishability are found for a class of states which have Bell states correlated to separable hiding states. We also describe a technique for finding states exhibiting irreversibility in entanglement distillation.  相似文献

The structure of liquid-gas interface of associating Lennard-Jones particles is studied using the density-functional theory and the Monte Carlo simulation. The model with one bonding site per particle is considered. It is shown that the considered version of the density functional is quite successful in predicting the gas-liquid density profile.  相似文献

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) of the control and mechanically injured spinal cord of a ratin vitro andin vivo are reported.In vitro experiments were done on a home-built 6.4 T magnetic resonance microscope. Results for formaline-fixed samples show significant differences in diffusion tensor components between gray matter and white matter of the control spinal cord. Moreover, it is shown that already 6–10 min after the injury DTI can detect changes in water diffusion in areas extending far beyond the region of primary tissue damage.In vivo experiments were performed using a 9.4 T Magnex magnet and Bruker Medspec imaging system. Good-quality DTI images, free from motion artifacts were obtained. Results from control samples confirm differences in water diffusion between white matter and gray matter, observedin vitro. In vivo experiments show that characteristic changes in water diffusion observedin vitro 6–10 min after injury are preserved 60–360 min after injury, without significant alteration during this time.  相似文献

The problem of order-order and order-disorder transitions in the system described by the 2D antiferromagnetic Blume-Capel model in the presence of a magnetic field is studied by the Wang and Landau flat-histogram simulation method and by the classical Monte Carlo. Anomalous thermodynamic characteristics in low temperatures indicate different type orderings in finite temperatures. The existence of pure antiferromagnetic phases as well as mixed state is shown by detailed phenomenological analysis of the system. The border lines on the phase diagram between various orderings are determined by the complementary microscopic study of the percolation problem for c(2×2) elementary structures of antiferromagnetic ordered phases. This new approach has also shown a full agreement between the percolation threshold for the cluster of mixed phase and the critical temperature of the ordered system.  相似文献

The reaction of hot hydrogen atoms originating from 253.7- and 228.8-nm photolyses of hydrogen sulfide with 1-butene was investigated. Of the hydrogen atoms undergoing addition a substantial part undergoes it in a first collision (37 and 48% at 253.7 and 228.8 nm, respectively) yielding highly excited butyl radicals. The ratio of nonterminal to terminal addition is 0.5 and practically does not depend on the energy of the hydrogen atoms over the range of 15–33 kcal/mol. Comparing the results of 229- and 254-nm photolyses of hydrogen sulfide with those of 313- and 334-nm photolyses of hydrogen iodide with the use of the decomposition rate constants of n-butyl radicals calculated by the RRKM methods, the conclusion is reached that the hydrogen atom from H2S photodissociation has 90–95% of the available energy.  相似文献
