The poor kinetics of hydrogen evolution and the irreversibility of the hydrogen discharge hamper the use of transition metal borohydrides as hydrogen storage materials, and the drawbacks of current synthetic methods obstruct the exploration of these systems. A wet‐chemistry approach, which is based on solvent‐mediated metathesis reactions of precursors containing bulky organic cations and weakly coordinating anions, leads to mixed‐metal borohydrides that contain only a small amount of “dead mass”. The applicability of this method is exemplified by Li[Zn2(BH4)5] and M[Zn(BH4)3] salts (M=Na, K), and its extension to other systems is discussed. 相似文献
This study is concerned with the investigation of the impact of heat flux on the fire hazard and the effective heat of combustion of sunflower seed hull pellets. Pellets produced by pressing common sunflower seed hulls (Helianthus annuus L.) were investigated. The samples were dried on water content of 0 mass% at a temperature of 103 ± 2 °C. The fire hazard and the heat of combustion have been determined via the cone calorimeter and by the testing procedure per ISO 5660-1:2015 at three heat fluxes (25, 35 and 50 kW m−2). The peak heat release rate increases with the increasing of the heat flux from 446 (at a heat flux of 25 kW m−2) to 601 kW m−2 (at a heat flux of 50 kW m−2). The carbon monoxide yield lies in the interval from 82.50 (at a heat flux of 25 kW m−2) to 154.15 g kg−1 (at a heat flux of 50 kW m−2). The effective heat of combustion decreases with the increasing of the heat flux from 15.84 (at a heat flux of 25 kW m−2) to 14.58 MJ kg−1 (at a heat flux of 50 kW m−2).
We demonstrate that colloidal Cu(2-x)Se nanocrystals exhibit a well-defined infrared absorption band due to the excitation of positive charge carrier oscillations (i.e., a valence band plasmon mode), which can be tuned reversibly in width and position by varying the copper stoichiometry. The value of x could be incrementally varied from 0 (no plasmon absorption, then a broad peak at 1700 nm) to 0.4 (narrow plasmon band at 1100 nm) by oxidizing Cu(2)Se nanocrystals (upon exposure either to oxygen or to a Ce(IV) complex), and it could be incrementally restored back to zero by the addition of a Cu(I) complex. Free radicals generation is inhibited through green light (GL) irradiation in cellular systems and in chemical reactions. Standard melanocyte cultures were UV-irradiated and the induced cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) were quantified by the fluorescence technique. The same cell cultures, previously protected by a 24h GL exposure, displayed a significantly lower ROS production. A simple chemical reaction is subsequently chosen, in which the production of free radicals is well defined. Paraffin wax and mineral oil were GL irradiated during thermal degradation and the oxidation products checked by chemiluminescence [CL] and Fourier transform infrared spectra [FT-IR]. The same clear inhibition of the radical oxidation of alkanes is recorded. A quantum chemistry modeling of these results is performed and a mechanism involving a new type of Rydberg macromolecular systems with implications for biology and medicine is suggested. 相似文献
We describe the successful synthesis of the first mixed-cation (pseudoternary) amidoborane, Na[Li(NH(2)BH(3))(2)], with theoretical hydrogen capacity of 11.1 wt%. Na[Li(NH(2)BH(3))(2)] crystallizes triclinic (P1) with a = 5.0197(4) ?, b = 7.1203(7) ?, c = 8.9198(9) ?, α = 103.003(6)°, β = 102.200(5)°, γ = 103.575(5)°, and V = 289.98(5) ?(3) (Z = 2), as additionally confirmed by Density Functional Theory calculations. Its crystal structure is topologically different from those of its orthorhombic LiNH(2)BH(3) and NaNH(2)BH(3) constituents, with distinctly different coordination spheres of Li (3 N atoms and 1 hydride anion) and Na (6 hydride anions). Na[Li(NH(2)BH(3))(2)], which may be viewed as a product of a Lewis acid (LiNH(2)BH(3))/Lewis base (NaNH(2)BH(3)) reaction, is an important candidate for a novel lightweight hydrogen storage material. The title material decomposes at low temperature (with onset at 75 °C, 6.0% mass loss up to 110 °C, and an additional 3.0% up to 200 °C) while evolving hydrogen contaminated with ammonia. 相似文献
We study operators acting on a tensor product Hilbert space and investigate their product numerical range, product numerical radius and separable numerical range. Concrete bounds for the product numerical range for Hermitian operators are derived. Product numerical range of a non-Hermitian operator forms a subset of the standard numerical range containing the barycenter of the spectrum. While the latter set is convex, the product range needs not to be convex nor simply connected. The product numerical range of a tensor product is equal to the Minkowski product of numerical ranges of individual factors. 相似文献
Gas-phase nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra demonstrating the effect of weak intermolecular forces on the NMR shielding constants of the interacting species are reported. We analyse the interaction of the molecular hydrogen isotopomers with He, Ne, and Ar, and the interaction in the He-CO(2) dimer. The same effects are studied for all these systems in the ab initio calculations. The comparison of the experimental and computed shielding constants is shown to depend strongly on the treatment of the bulk susceptibility effects, which determine in practice the pressure dependence of the experimental values. Best agreement of the results is obtained when the bulk susceptibility correction in rare gas solvents is evaluated from the analysis of the He-rare gas interactions, and when the shielding of deuterium in D(2)-rare gas systems is considered. 相似文献
