Photoproton cross section for 26Mg in the giant dipole resonance region

Using bremsstrahlung from the 35 MeV betatron the ²⁶Mg(γ, xp) reaction cross section has been obtained in the excitation energy region up to 29 MeV. The role of isospin splitting in the formation of a giant dipole resonance is discussed in the case of light nuclei.     

Functional approach to the derivation of effective interaction between electrons in the theory of simple metals

The potential of the effective interaction between electrons in a thin layer around the Fermi surface is derived by the functional integration method. Investigating the Properties of Graphite Oxide Suspension,Films, and Papers Produced from Natural Graphite of Southern Yakutia

An aqueous suspension of graphite oxide (GrO) was prepared from natural Yakut graphite by modified Hummers′ method. The lateral size of GrO flakes varied from 0.1 μm to 10 μm, their thickness was 20 nm. The fabricated suspension, GrO films (of various thickness and on various substrates), and GrO papers were studied in terms of their structural, optical, and electrophysical characteristics. The obtained GrO films are dielectrics with quite large resistance varying from 12.5.10⁶–4.6.10⁹ Ω depending on their thickness. The films are characterized by the luminescence in the region of 380–650 nm, the presence of oxygen-containing groups–ОН,–СООН,–С=О,–СОН, СОО–, and the transparency of 91% for a 20 nm thick film at the wavelength of 670 nm. The conducted study testifies high quality of Yakut graphite, which can be quite easily exfoliated. GrO films possess high resistance and transparency.     

Multipurpose implanter for high technology development

To provide basic operations of semiconductor and radiation materials technologies, a multipurpose implanter with intense ion beams was developed at the Institute of Nuclear Physics. The generated beamparameters are as follows: ions are H⁺, O⁺; C⁺; the ion energy is up to 200 keV; the beam current is up to 2 mA; and the implantation mode is continuous. The size of the target to be processed can reach 76 × 76 mm². During the implanter operation, the target chamber vacuum reaches 10^?4 Pa. The entire process of target irradiation is fully automated.     

The five-vertex model and boxed plane partitions

Boxed plane partitions are considered in terms of the five-vertex model on a finite lattice with fired boundary conditions. Assuming that all weights of the model have the same value, the one-point correlation function. describing the probability of having a given state on an arbitrary horizontal edge of the lattice is calculated. This is equivalent to the enumeration of boxed plane partitions that correspond to rhombus tilings of a hexagon with one fired rhombus of a particular type. Simultaneous Exact Control of Quasi-Electrostatic Piezoelectric Systems in Multilayered Media

We consider two quasi-electrostatic models in a multilayered piezoelectric structure. Both models only differ on the boundary conditions. For each one of them we prove a boundary observability inequality which together with the Hilbert Uniqueness Method introduced by J.L. Lions allow us to drive both systems to rest at time T with the same control function. We require suitable geometric conditions on the region and the interfaces as well as monotonicity assumptions on the coefficients of the model.
