ThermoData Engine (TDE) is the first full-scale software implementation of the dynamic data evaluation concept, as reported recently in this journal. In the present paper, we describe development of an algorithmic approach to assist experiment planning through assessment of the existing body of knowledge, including availability of experimental thermophysical property data, variable ranges studied, associated uncertainties, state of prediction methods, and parameters for deployment of prediction methods and how these parameters can be obtained using targeted measurements, etc., and, indeed, how the intended measurement may address the underlying scientific or engineering problem under consideration. A second new feature described here is the application of the software capabilities for aid in the design of chemical products through identification of chemical systems possessing desired values of thermophysical properties within defined ranges of tolerance. The algorithms and their software implementation to achieve this are described. Finally, implementation of a new data validation and weighting system is described for vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data, and directions for future enhancements are outlined.  相似文献

The effects of RGD peptide conjugation to alginate hydrogel on the adipogenic differentiation of ASCs was investigated. After 3 d of culture, RGD-modified alginate hydrogels significantly stimulated FAK and integrin α1 gene expressions and vinculin expression in ASCs. In addition, RGD-modified alginate hydrogels significantly enhanced the adipogenic differentiation of human ASCs to exhibit higher expression levels of oil red O staining and adipogenic genes compared to those of the control group (unmodified gels). These results suggest potential applications of RGD-modified alginate gels for adipose tissue regeneration.  相似文献

This paper presents some quadrature methods for a class of highly oscillatory integrals whose integrands may have singularities at the two endpoints of the interval. One is a Filon-type method based on the asymptotic expansion. The other is a Clenshaw-Curtis-Filon-type method which is based on a special Hermite interpolation polynomial and can be evaluated efficiently in O(N log N) operations, where N + 1 is the number of Clenshaw-Curtis points in the interval of integration. In addition, we derive the corresponding error bound in inverse powers of the frequency ω for the Clenshaw-Curtis-Filon-type method for the class of highly oscillatory integrals. The efficiency and the validity of these methods are testified by both the numerical experiments and the theoretical results.  相似文献

Controlling the morphology and size of titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) nanostructures is crucial to obtain superior photocatalytic, photovoltaic, and electrochemical properties. However, the synthetic techniques for preparing such structures, especially those with complex configurations, still remain a challenge because of the rapid hydrolysis of Ti-containing polymer precursors in aqueous solution. Herein, we report a completely novel approach-three-dimensional (3D) TiO(2) nanostructures with favorable dendritic architectures-through a simple hydrothermal synthesis. The size of the 3D TiO(2) dendrites and the morphology of the constituent nano-units, in the form of nanorods, nanoribbons, and nanowires, are controlled by adjusting the precursor hydrolysis rate and the surfactant aggregation. These novel configurations of TiO(2) nanostructures possess higher surface area and superior electrochemical properties compared to nanoparticles with smooth surfaces. Our findings provide an effective solution for the synthesis of complex TiO(2) nano-architectures, which can pave the way to further improve the energy storage and energy conversion efficiency of TiO(2)-based devices.  相似文献

This study describes a prototypical, bimetallic heterogeneous catalyst: compositionally well-defined Ir-Pt nanoclusters with sizes in the range of 1-2 nm supported on γ-Al(2)O(3). Deposition of the molecular bimetallic cluster [Ir(3)Pt(3)(μ-CO)(3)(CO)(3)(η-C(5)Me(5))(3)] on γ-Al(2)O(3), and its subsequent reduction with hydrogen, provides highly dispersed supported bimetallic Ir-Pt nanoparticles. Using spherical aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (C(s)-STEM) and theoretical modeling of synchrotron-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) measurements, our studies provide unambiguous structural assignments for this model catalytic system. The atomic resolution C(s)-STEM images reveal strong and specific lattice-directed strains in the clusters that follow local bonding configurations of the γ-Al(2)O(3) support. Combined nanobeam diffraction (NBD) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) data suggest the polycrystalline γ-Al(2)O(3) support material predominantly exposes (001) and (011) surface planes (ones commensurate with the zone axis orientations frequently exhibited by the bimetallic clusters). The data reveal that the supported bimetallic clusters exhibit complex patterns of structural dynamics, ones evidencing perturbations of an underlying oblate/hemispherical cuboctahedral cluster-core geometry with cores that are enriched in Ir (a result consistent with models based on surface energetics, which favor an ambient cluster termination by Pt) due to the dynamical responses of the M-M bonding to the specifics of the adsorbate and metal-support interactions. Taken together, the data demonstrate that strong temperature-dependent charge-transfer effects occur that are likely mediated variably by the cluster-support, cluster-adsorbate, and intermetallic bonding interactions.  相似文献

A Pep-1 peptide-modified liposomal (Pep1-Lipo) carrier system was investigated to increase the intracellular delivery of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs). Au NPs with a mean diameter of 13 nm were successfully encapsulated into the inner aqueous compartment of the novel carrier using an ethanol injection technique, reserving the distinctive optical characteristics of the surface plasmon resonance peak around 530 nm. The Au NP-loaded liposomal carrier was physically characterized as 150-170 nm in size and 45 mV in zeta potential. Dark field microscopic observation demonstrated that in vitro cellular association and/or translocation of the nanoprobes into the cells was increased by Pep1-Lipo carriers compared to bare Au NPs. In conclusion, this novel liposomal formulation is a promising platform for the intracellular delivery of metallic nanoprobes including Au NPs.  相似文献

In order to develop a preferable once-a-day oral tablet formulation, various formulations of three-layered tablets containing tamsulosin HCl as a hydrophilic model drug were evaluated and compared with a commercial reference, tamsulosin OCAS?. When the test tablet was exposed to a release medium, the medium quickly permeated to the mid-layer and the two barrier layers swelled surrounding the mid-layer rapidly. Volume expansion showed faster and enough swelling of the three-layered tablet up to 2 h. Larger amount of barrier layers caused reduced release kinetics and a high molecular weight polymer showed more resistance against agitation force. A formulation with water-soluble mid-layer showed fast erosion decreasing its volume significantly. On the pharmacokinetic study, the mean ratio of area under the curve (AUC) and C(max) for the test formulation to the reference was 0.69 and 0.84, respectively, showing that the absorption of the drug was less complete than the reference. Plasma concentration at 24 h of the test formulation was higher than the reference. The Wagner-Nelson method showed that decreased initial dissolution rate might be the cause of the less complete absorption. On considering in vitro-in vivo correlation (IVIVC), level A, the reference (R2=0.981) showed more linear relationship than the test (R2=0.918) due to the decreased dissolution and absorption rate of the formulation. This result suggests that the in vitro dissolution profiles and release kinetics might be useful in correlating absorption kinetics as well as overall plasma drug concentration-time profiles for formulation studies.  相似文献
