Photopyroelectric spectroscopy of Sb<Subscript>2</Subscript>O<Subscript>3</Subscript> - ZnO ceramics

Photopyroelectric spectroscopy is used to study the
band-gap energy of the ceramic (ZnO + xSb2O3), x = 0.1 - 1.5 mol%
and the ceramic (ZnO + 0.4 mol% Bi2O3 + xSb2O3), x = 0 - 1.5 mol% sintered at isothermal temperature, 1280 °C, for 1 and 2 hours. The wavelength of incident light, modulated
at 9 Hz, is kept in the visible range and the photopyroelectric spectrum with
reference to doping level is discussed. The band-gap energy is reduced from
3.2 eV, for pure ZnO, to 2.86, 2.83 eV for the samples without
Bi2O3at 0.1 mol% of Sb2O3 for 1 and 2 hours of
sintering time, respectively. It is reduced to 2.83, 2.80 eV for the samples
with Bi2O3 at 0 mol% of Sb2O3 for 1 and 2 hours of
sintering time, respectively. The steepness factor σA which
characterizes the slop of exponential optical absorption is discussed with
reference to the doping level. The phase constitution is determined by XRD
analysis; microstructure and compositional analysis of the selected areas

A stereospecific synthesis of (2S)‐3‐(2,4,5‐trifluorophenyl)propane‐1,2‐diol from D ‐mannitol has been developed. The reaction of 2,3‐O‐isopropylidene‐D ‐glyceraldehyde with 2,4,5‐trifluorophenylmagnesium bromide gave [(4R)‐2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolan‐4‐yl](2,4,5‐trifluorophenyl)methanol in 65% yield as a mixture of diastereoisomers (1 : 1). The Ph3P catalyzed reaction of the latter with C2Cl6 followed by reduction with Pd/C‐catalyzed hydrogenation gave (2S)‐3‐(2,4,5‐trifluorophenyl)propane‐1,2‐diol with >99% ee and 65% yield. 相似文献

Actinidin is a cysteine protease abundant in Kiwifruit. This enzyme is known as a meat-tenderizing protease. In this project,
actinidin was purified from kiwifruit by salt precipitation and ion exchange chromatography. Collagenolytic effect of the
purified enzyme was tested in four different buffer systems. Thereafter, the enzyme was used for isolation and culture of
cells from three different tissues: endothelial cells from human umbilical vein, hepatocytes from rat liver, and thymic epithelial
cells from rat thymus. Our results revealed that actinidin can hydrolyze collagen types I and II at neutral and alkaline buffers.
Furthermore, actinidin compared with type II or IV collagenase isolated intact human umbilical vein endothelial cells, hepatocytes,
and thymic epithelial cells with viability more than 90%. These results address a novel and valuable collagenase, which can
be used efficiently for hydrolysis of collagen and isolation of different cell populations from various solid tissues. 相似文献

After more than 50 years, the synthesis and electronic structure of the first and only reported “U0 complex” [U(bipy)4] ( 1 ) has been reinvestigated. Additionally, its one‐electron reduced product [Na(THF)6][U(bipy)4] ( 2 ) has been newly discovered. The formation of endohedral metallofullerenes (EMFs) in an electric arc is reported for the mixed‐metal Sc–Ti system utilizing methane as a reactive gas. Comparison of these results with those from the Sc/CH4 and Ti/CH4 systems as well as syntheses without methane revealed a strong mutual influence of all key components on the product distribution. Whereas a methane atmosphere alone suppresses the formation of empty cage fullerenes, the Ti/CH4 system forms mainly empty cage fullerenes. In contrast, the main fullerene products in the Sc/CH4 system are Sc4C2@C80 (the most abundant EMF from this synthesis), Sc3C2@C80, isomers of Sc2C2@C82, and the family Sc2C2 n (2 n=74, 76, 82, 86, 90, etc.), as well as Sc3CH@C80. The Sc–Ti/CH4 system produces the mixed‐metal Sc2TiC@C2 n (2 n=68, 78, 80) and Sc2TiC2@C2 n (2 n=80) clusterfullerene families. The molecular structures of the new, transition‐metal‐containing endohedral fullerenes, Sc2TiC@Ih‐C80, Sc2TiC@D5h‐C80, and Sc2TiC2@Ih‐C80, were characterized by NMR spectroscopy. The structure of Sc2TiC@Ih‐C80 was also determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, which demonstrated the presence of a short Ti=C double bond. Both Sc2TiC‐ and Sc2TiC2‐containing clusterfullerenes have Ti‐localized LUMOs. Encapsulation of the redox‐active Ti ion inside the fullerene cage enables analysis of the cluster–cage strain in the endohedral fullerenes through electrochemical measurements. 相似文献

In the solid state, the Tl(I) complex of 4-hydroxybenzoate (HB−), [Tl(HB)]n (1), can be regarded as containing polymeric chains linked through 2 × η6 interactions of the Tl atoms with phenyl groups from adjacent units. The thallium atoms contain close TlI ? π (aromatic) contacts, thus attaining a total hapticity of 16 with environments TlO4C12. The unusually high coordination number in the this compound may reflect the capacity of Tl(I) to act as both a Lewis acid and a Lewis base. 相似文献
